The house was very, very nice. Loved the layout of the house and all the amenities. The TV room was great along with the bar and the wine cooler.
Also liked the fact that each room had their own bathroom which was very convenient for everyone. On a scale from 1-5 with 5 being great, I give the house a 4.5 rating. I can't get it a complete 5 due to there was some minor issues.
We did have some issues:
• We had not hot water on Saturday night. This was a huge problem when you have people coming back from the beach/pool and wanting to take a nice warm show/bath to get the grit and sand off of you. We also had three toddlers that needed a bath and there was no way they could take a cold bath. I did call the emergency number and they did have maintenance come out that night to fix the problem. We all had hot water the next day.
• The door handle to the patio/pool area was broken - came off but when maintenance was there on Saturday night they fixed the handle.
• On one of the banister leading out to the pool the top was completely broken which we did let maintenance know and they just took it with them.
• In the master bathroom in the shower one of the shower handles was loose
• One thing that we were not aware of upfront and was not stated in the paper work was that there was an additional cost to heat the spa. We knew there was a cost to heat the pool, but the spa we did not know and it was not stated in the contract that my husband signed. I know you need to make that clear in your paper work and on your website upfront to customers.
This is the second time we have rented a house from Island Getaway and the service has been great. I think it would be beneficial on Island Getaway part to go into the house before it's rented to make sure that things like door knobs/handles etc... are in good working condition just little minor things. I understand that major things like hot waters heaters you would only know until you are in the house.

Spacious house to relax and enjoy

The home accomodated our family members extremely well. The two master bedrooms were used by brother and his spouse while my wife and I used the other. Because the home has an elevator my 87 year old mother was able to use one of the 2nd floor bedroooms with great ease. The other 3 bedrooms provided my 3 teenage children with their own privacy and santuary. My wife is the cook in the family and was very spoiled with all the amenities(high end appliances and layout) the house provided in the kitchen. The entertainment room was often used and enjoyed by the kids. This was probably due to the fact that they were the only ones who understood how to use the multi functional remote. The icemaker and refrigation in that room was utilized often and was another wonderful amenity.
We did have a problem with the air conditioning and the hot tub not holding water, but Island Getaways was very prompt and attentive to see that the problems were resolved as quickly as possible. Beach access was good. The pool was a little small but not atyical with previous houses we stayed at before in Palm. Dunes. The interior lighting the house was a little tricky to undrstand at first but turned out to be a very nice feature of the home.

A great place to stay, it was our second year in a row.

We found the house cleaner than expected. We had two problems: the pool pump sprang a leak and the air handler for the second floor wasn't performing properly. Both were fixed quickly. The Island Getaway stall was very professional and friendly as we have come to expect. The only problem and we didn't mention it to the staff was the condition of the pool. It wasn't up to the standard of the rest of the house.
Ok to visit but I wouldn't want to live there

As far as the house goes, it was nice. However, we couldn't get the a/c regulated so that there was an even temp throughout. One room would be freezing and the next warm. Lights would come or or go off mysteriously day and night. The lighting system was very hard to manage. Never had enough hot water. Only received 1 washcloth per person upon arrival. Had to go out and buy more. On the up side, when the air conditioner went out completely and the coffee maker did not work, our concerns were addressed immediately.
Great place for a group

We stayed at this house with a group of 4 middle-aged adult couples and 2 college age children. This was a great house for our group. Plenty of room for all of us.
We initially thought the pool might be a little small, but it turned out it was a perfect size for us. Also, there is a "waterfall" into the pool that you can turn on and off at your pleasure. Pretty cool.
There is a large home theater room with a huge screen and plenty of seating. We all enjoyed watching movies here at night after a day in the sun.
The wrap-around porch is great for sipping drinks in the shade and grilling.
It's about a 2 minute walk to the beach - which is fantastic.
All in all we thought this was a great house and would definitely rent it again.

We discovered this house during a previous trip. The house has all the ammenities to accomodate a full house as we had, 9 people.
It has state of the art kitchen appliances, pool, deck, outdoor grill and fridge. The location is excellent, only a one minute walk to the beach. We have stayed in HH many times, and this property is one that is well taken care of by the owners.

Too Much Money

We have rented homes through Island Getaway for many years
but this home was less than we had hoped. It was a LOT of
money and we had a LOT of issues. The smoke alarm went off
several times and there were limited pots/pans in the kitchen.
The pool was very small and it was on the back side of the
house (away from the beach). I would not stay in this house
