We stayed here with our whole family...7 adults and 7 children and everyone had a wonderful time. Playing pool inside, swimming in the pool outside and fishing from the dock. The house is large and comfortable and decorated very nicely. Great view of the lagoon. I hated to leave!

We love Hilton Head, especially when we found 97 Mooring Buoy in 2007. When we returned in 2010, the house was much more run down and there was even a mold problem. The skylights were dripping water onto the furniture and carpet and one bathroom ceiling was covered in mold. For the price we paid to rent this house, it was disappointing it was not better maintained. We would definitely return, but only if it was cleaned up.

We choose this property because of it's location size and the pictures we saw on the web. This home was beautiful and worked perfect for our extended family and friends. The amenities (great pool, pool table, location, etc.) were fantastic. We look forward to staying here again!

We had a wonderful experience at this home. The back yard and pool area were amazing and so serene. The home was perfect for our large group with many small children. We are ready to book for next summer!

This is the second year we have stayed at this house but have been coming to Hilton Head for over 12 years now. This is everyone's favorite. The house is wonderfully furnished and the pool table is a big hit with the guys. Thte fishing pier right on the lot is also a plus. The only problem is we may have outgrown the house with our last of 4 children getting married this fall. The 5th bedroom sleeping arrangement was the only drawback as the pull- out sofa was very uncomfortable and we had to go out a buy an air mattress. If they would put a bed in this room we could continue using this rental. It is wonerful!

When we first drove up to this house we were so impressed. It was private private private - The deck, backyard were amazing. We had some issues when we first got there ( ice maker wasn't working, griddle didn't work, garbage wasn't picked up when the last family left. However, Island Getaway took care of the problems somewhat quickly.
When we initially booked the home we knew it didn't have a gas grill but thought a charcoal grill would be fine....however the size of it was awful. The size would not take care of a big family/group. As it turned out, we bought a grill for the house and then took it home with us. With all the wonderful amenities in this house I'm surprised that the owner/Island Getaway hasn't got a decent size gas grill yet.
There is an awesome dock in the backyard. We we went fishing and caught some too. The setting is just beautiful. The house was very nice - bedrooms were a good size. The master bedroom didn't have a lock on it, which was a hassle at times. The bathroom in that same master suite doesn't have a door. I was a little uncomfortable with that. As I see it, these are all easy fixes.
Overall, this house, area was great. The pictures on line really doesn't do the house justice. We would definetly stay in this house again. Palmetto Dunes is beautiful.

We were pleasingly surprised when we walked into the house. It is an awesome design and is a great house to entertain in. However, there are two large spots on the carpeting that I was concerned about getting blamed for. The grill is awful. The house was not 100% clean, but we could overlook that. I would definitely recommend the house to anyone. It was a great time in Hilton Head.

This is the second time we have stayed at 97 Mooring Buoy. We loved it the first time and were not disappointed the second time back. The home is beautiful and HUGE! We stayed with 2 other families and had plenty of space. The kitchen is my fantasy kitchen- SubZero fridge, Viking range, loads of cabinets and granite countertops. The outside of the house was just as gorgeous and the inside. Outstanding view of the lagoon and the biggest pool we have ever had while renting a home. We plan on returning soon!

I have been staying in houses on Hilton Head Island for the past 5 years and this was the best house yet. I highly recommend this house to everyone. If you have kids the kids room is perfect for them to get away and not distract the rest of the house. Adults getting away? Then the wet bar and tv, hot tub, and lagoon deck is perfect. From a house filled with 4 or 10 this house is ideal. Cheers!

Wonderful family vacation!! We've been coming to HH for the past 24+ years, usually in September/October for golf and stay oceanfront, always in Palmetto Dunes. This is the 2nd year in a row that we rented this home in July for a family reunion. All the brothers and sisters came with their families (5 families in all.) The house was big enough for everyone. Fantastic kitchen and pool area. Beautiful and relaxing view of the lagoon. Steps from the ocean (without paying the oceanfront price in the summer.) Home was clean, well-kept, kitchen well-stocked for cooking in. The only negative was no gas grill for BBQ. Would definitely recommend this home and will stay here again during the summer months. (We've had walk-throughs of many of the homes in Palmetto Dunes in the years we've been coming here, and for not being oceanfront, this home is definitely a keeper!!)

We were pleasantly surprised by how gorgeous this home was. It is large, bright and completely up to date. We have found some homes we've rented in HHI in the past to be somewhat tired but this house was immaculate and had tons of space for a multi-family or multi-generation vacation.
Palmetto Dunes is a lovely plantation and the home is very convenient to the beach. It is also located a ways back from the road so is safe for small children as well as quiet.
The only issue we had was with the heating of the pool and spa. It kicked out periodically but the management company dealt with it in a timely manner.
If we have a large group again we will definitely go back to this home.

Three mature couples shared this wonderful house for a week. It is set up to accommodate a very large group and caters to children as well. Every bedroom is a master with great bathrooms and their is a kids wing close to the rec room. We love to cook and the kitchen was spacious and extremely well equipted. The great room had a pool table, big screen TV, complete bar and big enough space to spread everyone around. The many decks overlook the pool and waterway. All in, this is a fabulous house and we would rent it again. The area was good for biking, close to the tennis courts, one block from the beach and of course, near the multitude of golf courses. We'll be back.
