The house was great. The pool was even greater. Weather was cool, but sun was shining and the weather did not stop us.
It would have been better if the pool had been heated prior to our arrival as requested.
But, the response by the staff to all our needs and questions was invaluable.
Trying to get the family to sign up again for next year.
pros & cons

the size of the house was great as was the private beach and pool.
Others had complained of the size of the kitchen. We found it adequate, especially with the 2 frigs and the pantry and we used the grill everynight.
The only thing I really did not like is that you could not turn the air up ( or do I mean down) With 18 people in the room it gets a little on the hot side, with no relief outside.

The house and pool were great and the location was excellent. Our group of 17 really enjoyed both the inside and outside of the house. Only complaint that I heard was mother in laws house bathroom should have been cleaner.

This house was great because of the pool and the beach setting. The house could use some updating of fresh pillows and linens. All rooms were good with the exception of the kitchen. It really is a little small for 18 people and cooking. It would be fine if eating out was more an option for your group.
Family trip to Hilton Head

We rented 16 Juniper for a week in June 2010. It is a very large house, plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms. The pool is amazing and large...great for all ages. The views of the beach are good from the deck and the eating area. It has a private path to the beach. The kitchen was too small for a house this large. The dishwasher needs to be replaced...it almost fell out every time we tried to load or unload it. The skylights in the bedroom leak during the rain. The house could use some remodeling and general upkeep. The gutters were completely filled with pine needles and the spiderwebs need to be vacuumed out. The air conditioning worked great and it is nice to have the washer/dryer. Good location, close to Sea Pines Resort and Harbourtown.
Great view and great pool

The stay was great, the place was so good, my family of 17 people loved everything. I would rent this house again.

Perfect House for a big group to get back together. The house sleeps a lot of people and the set up is unbelievable. There is a big room for everyone to hang out that is very isolated from most of the bedrooms. The deck is really nice and the pool/hot tub were big plusses. Only problem was the cold weather, and the house had nothing to do with that. Goode Vacation Rentals had excellent customer service as well.
Perfect location, needs a little TLC

A short walk to the ocean and the pool/spa were the selling points of this house, and the view was gorgeous. When we walked in the house, it had a very musty/damp smell. We didn't mind the occasional gecko inside, but could have done without the handful of palmetto bugs in the house. It was difficult to open/close the blinds, and the main slider to the porch kept coming off the track. Many windows (kitchen,2BR suite) did not have screens. Anyone taller than 5'8'' could not shower in the MBTH. The decorative pillows/bedcovers were dirty. We paid $1K to heat the pool, but after using the first time, we all broke out in a rash - WAY too much chlorine. The pool co. came almost daily (w/out notice) and put more in - also disturbing our peace on the few sunny days we had.
All that said, we loved everything else about this spot, and plan to return again. Perhaps it will get some TLC before then. Also, a few staples should be there on arrival - i.e. garbage bags, all purpose kitchen cleaner, 1-pot coffee for the first morning if guests arrive late the first night.
Can't beat the location!

This home was ideally located and certainly spacious enough to accommodate
the whole family- when the a/c was working! Upon arrival much of the house
was musty smelling- and the efficiency actually had water dripping down the
walls. Turns out the a/c unit was not functioning and when the problem was
recognized it was addressed, although it took two full days. One last critique-
the kitchen is quite small for such a large home and the fridge placement
makes traffic flow difficult. We loved the pool and hot tub- someone was in it
18 hours a day! Having bikes was a bonus and very much enjoyed. The house
had ample room and the master suite was brilliantly quiet! Read more
The lack of consistent cooling and the water related musty smell was related to the HVAC which has been replaced. The home is now back to one of the best vacation rentals on HHI!
Great location and layout needs some updating

We stayed there 4 times already..we know it is a little run down, but great pool and big living area. the refridgerator is terrible. We were told a line by Goode that it would take 24 hours to cool things down, we stayed in some 20 houses and this is never an issue. This needs to be resolved ASAP.

I just changes the rating from enjoyed w/ issues to recommended. The overall house was just great. Lots of room for all of the people and the house was very friendly. the mother-in-law suite needs some attention badly. the bed was extremley soft, we called it swayback style. the shower in this room also needs attention.
the other item that we all felt needed replaced, the "Chaise lounges" there were only two that could be used. the rest were all ripped, and I mean ripped, they were totally unusable. Having these ripped lounges around the pool really substracted from the beauty of the house. They need to be replaced immediately. These were the type of lounges one would see in the slums of the large city, not at a beach house on Hilton Head rented by the Goode Vacation Rental Company.
This is a great vacation home about which we typically get nothing but rave reviews. However, please see the report below from our senior property manager:
"They came when we were still getting the chaise repaired. They are all repaired now and good to go with new paint and covers.
Also we put a new toilet seat on the toilet and put a new shower head. These people came and in and told me about it and we fixed it after they left. They said that they wanted to just report these items and since they were leaving in a couple days it could be done after they left which we did."

This house was fabulous for our annual family vacation! The house is very spacious and the living room was perfect for our evening family time together. We enjoyed the privacy of the backyard and the private walkway to the beach! We normally stay on N. Forest Beach, but that didn't work out this year. We are thankful to have found this great beach house!!
Nice vacation home

The home was enjoyable for the week - the pool, the jacuzzi tub, the screened porch, the bedrooms and the living space! The home was close to the ocean and we enjoyed our family time there. I only caution that the kitchen is small and not equipped for 18 people. Even making breakfast of coffee and cereal for the kids was tight and cramped. With 18 of us there, we cooked more than we went out to eat and we were frustrated with the kitchen, but only the kitchen. I loved the rest of the home!!!!
