This was my first official vacation with my family as an adult (besides our honeymoon of course!)...7 Pelican was a great place to stay...it was a close walk to the beautiful ocean, it was a close drive to many area attractions and if you are more sporty they have bike rentals available too.

Great house with a modern feel in a quiet neighborhood. The kids loved the pool and the adults loved the big kitchen and deck.

Just returned from a week long vacation at this rental house. We used the house for two small families (4 adults and 3 kids) and the house layout was great. We did not experience any of the issues that the other reviews noted...the house and pool we both clean and dust free! The kitchen has been completely remodeled, too. Furnishings were all in good condition and overall feel of the house is really modern. I am normally a pretty picky person when it comes to rentals and I really liked this place. Great pool, easy walk to the beach and close to Coligny.

The pictures are beautiful, the house is not. I agree with the previous poster Teresa. This house was filthy including the pool. Black mold, shower soap scum, clogged drains, air vents covered in mold and dirt, outside garbage never picked up, spider webs and plenty of “creatures” wandering about inside. This is not a place to bring your children as ours were sick from day two with upper resp. infections. We called with our concerns and the property management were apathetic towards us. They were not a friendly group from the start. They sent the cleaning crew back out along with an heating and air professional. The crew did nothing-stated they knew about the problems but only clean what they are told, the heating and air man showed us the filter that should have been changed every 30 days, hadn’t been changed in 6 months. He spent the next ½ hour cleaning the ducts and furnace. The pool person never showed up. I’m not sure who is responsible, the owners, property management or the cleaning crew. We rent summer houses yearly and I am just so sad that anyone would allow families to stay here. On another note Hilton Head is fantastic, just stay somewhere else!

I have to be totally honest and say that while this home is very near perfect in amenities, it left a lot to be desired in cleanliness, and comfort. Upon our arrival we found things that we simply couldn't accept. Ex: Dirty pool and pool deck, dusty and nasty fans, light bulbs not working, a broken bed in kid's room, dust and cobwebs, hot and humid conditions in the home, especially in lower level, TV needing possibly replaced in great room,
We had 3 children unable to get into pool, until the next day. While management said it was "okay" I wonder if she would have wanted to get in. We did not!
We ended up having a great vacation, but spent time away on the phone, and at the rental office when that is something that we have never had to do in all the years we've vacationed at Hilton Head. It was disappointing. -

This setting and accommodation offered a marvelous opportunity for a family reunion. The home was spacious and centrally located to all of our needs. Everyone was comfortable from the 82 year old great-grandmother to the 2 year old grandson.
There were 8 in our party.
