199 Evian was a delightful find. The unit sleeps six very easily. The unit was roomy and clean, the location a dream, just five minutes biking or by car to one of the private beaches and a well kept and beautiful pool is located a short walking distance from the unit.
Golf courses, bike trails, nature trails and many other diversions besides the beach kept everyone busy and happy.
We toured the new museum and welcome center. It is located on about eighty beautiful acres and there are many nature programs that can be enjoyed by adults and children alike. The facility is now located in an old plantation house and offers a gift shop, museum and even cooking demonstration classes of local cuisine.
I can not describe the incredible sunrise here, awesome colors, beautiful reflections on sand and water, breathtaking.
Our first day on the beach found us surrounded by hundreds and hundreds of Monarch butterflies...it was migration time! There were also hundreds of huge dragon flies.
Porpoise swam along the coast, their glistening gray bodies arcing gracefully in and out of the water..truly a beautiful sight.
Our stay at 199 Evian and our experience with Island Getaway Rentals will bring us back to Hilton Head for many years to come.
