This was our sixth trip to Hilton Head, and we've always booked condos by Forest Beach. We had never had any problems until we entered this unit. The master bathtub had a rubberized safety mat that was covered in mold, and it had bugs, some alive, in it. The washer also had mold in it. The master shower didn't function correctly, so all four of us had to share a single shower. We had planned on grilling some of our evening meals, but the grill wouldn't get above 175 degrees. I contacted the management company who contacted the owner, but she refused to let them send a plumber to fix the shower. There's water damage in both bathrooms, the living room rug is filthy, and the twin bedspreads were stained. The number of DVD players, and the size of some of the TVs is misrepresented. The property management company gave us a small refund, which I appreciated, but it took two phone calls. I would not recommend this particular unit because of the owner's unwillingness to repair the shower and the other problems listed above. I have booked with Hilton Head Vacation Rentals before, and I plan to do so again...but not Hilton Head Beach Club #38!
