We have rented units in Hampton Place for many years. The location is excellent for being close to the beach and other amenities in Palmetto Dunes. We stayed in this unit several years ago and now it has been updated, so it is even better. Great views of the ocean. It has new carpet, applicances and furniture and things were cleaner this summer than in past years. We were very happy with the unit itself. Note that it does not have wireless internet access in the unit, only hi-speed internet access which you must connect with a cable. I was surprised by that.
However, the hot tub for use of the whole Hampton Place buildings was not working the entire week of our stay and we were not happy with our attempts to resolve this. We reported it to the rental company (Island Getaway) on Sunday and were told it would be fixed by Wednesday. When we checked in with them after it was not fixed on Wednesday, they told us that no one ever reported it was broken and that they would try to get it fixed again. It was not fixed by the time we left the following Saturday. The hot tub was one of the reasons we chose this complex over renting a house on the island, and we were very disappointed that it was broken for our entire stay. Island Getaway did give us come compensation for this when we asked, but we would have preferred for them to have been more proactive about this problem, and if they had offered to move us to a different location that has a hot tub at the beginning of the week, we would have been interested in doing that. -

We enjoyed the updated kitchen and sitting out on the balcony. The bedrooms were very well apportioned and the living room and its TV were a great source of recreation during the few days of thunderstorms. We also enjoyed the door lock technology. Being key-free has its merits! Hampton Place is a wonderful beach location and its pool is simply heaven. We'll be back again!

The condo was large but "tired". Lots of old fake plants. The furniture was good. The kitchen appliances, dishes, etc were old and tired looking It was a large condo that was very impersonal. The view was beautiful and loved the size of the condo. I would stay in the same condos again but would ask for a more updated one. Rated average due to the lack of updates.

The view of the ocean is spotty. The unit was almost clean. The maid service missed wiping down the counters and the chair seats as well as the second shower had bunches of sand in it. The carpet in the main room was filthy and stained. The beds were comfortable.

through Island Getaway, have never had a problem w/ rental unit--
this area has a short walk to beach, wonderful pool area and just
overall a very relaxing vacation -

The property was great but only moderately clean. The bathrooms need updating..mold in the grout, etc. I most likely will not use Island Getaways in the future as they are one of the only rental companies that does not send the key in advance and requires you return it to their office which is inconvenient.
