First floor oceanfront condo!!! Just walk out to your patio for beach access and the pool! No elevator or steps necessary! Nicely decorated two bedroom/2 bathroom condo! Master bedroom features a king sized bed, private bath and access to the patio. Guest bedroom has two twin beds and access to the shared hallway bathroom. .
This oceanfront complex has a centrally located oceanfront pool with a baby pool and a security gate at the main entrance. Nearby is Coligny Plaza which is a great place for dining, shopping and entertainment!

ok, we loved the location but there's a few housecleaning things I would want changed. a couple of glasses in the cabinet were dirty - one even had a lipstick mark on it! there was a bug in the kitchen but at least he was dead.
the a.c.unit couldn't be set below a certain temp or it would freeze up. we could've used a couple of ceiling fans.
i would stay here again but maybe try a different unit. since we paid a cleaning fee i expect the dishes that are in the cabinet to be clean.

We were disappointed in the cleanliness of the condo. The rugs, floors and cold air returns were dirty. The one twin bed was very squeaky and made a loud noise everytime you turned over. The king bed was very hard. We also killed 3 large bugs that looked like cockroaches. Other than the above we enjoyed our visit. I would stay at Shorewood again but not this unit. New pool was beautiful and granddaughter loved the kiddie pool.

Shorewood 102 is an average condo with a great location - close to Coligny Square and just steps away from the pool and beach since it is on the ground level which means no steps involved carrying beach stuff up and down steps or elevators all day! That was a huge plus for us! The main issue we were not happy with was the patio door from the living area to outside - the door could not be locked properly and since it is a ground floor unit posed a security concern. The door is junk and needs to be replaced badly, as well as the windows in this unit! Also, I was not personally happy with the 2 bathrooms; though updated with granite counters, etc., the bathrooms were very, very small! I, also, personally would have liked ceiling fans in the condo and a TV in the 2nd bedroom would have been nice too for the kids. Also, the master bedroom king size bed was extremely hard - definitely needs a new mattress in there. I have never slept on such a hard mattress ever!! The kids mentioned that the one mattress they slept on was lopsided and squeaked, so they could probably use replacing also. The furniture in the unit seemed somewhat dirty and could probably use replacing too. The pool area was great - new zero entry pool! If I came back to Shorewood I would definitely stay on the ground floor, but would probably look at a different unit unless this one gets the issues I mentioned fixed.

We have stayed in Shorewood for years and love the complex. The pool renovation was awesome. We loved the location of this unit but there were many things that needed attention. Other units we have stayed in were in far better shape. For the money we paid I expected the unit to be comparable to the others When we got there the aC was not cooling unit. We checked air filter & it was black so we just took it out. We called but & they were nice but I don't think they came to replace it. Another reviewer stated the master mattress was bad. What an understatement! It was the worst I have ever tried to sleep on. The washer & dryer were so noisy we could not run them in the evening. No one could hear TV & teens couldn't sleep on pullout when they were on. The DW was not bolted in so when you pulled racks in & out it would lean out at you. The front door frame pulled off. There were no hooks in bathroom. Just a lot of things that made the unit not near as nice as others in complex, especially for the money.

As one can see from several previous reviews, you can't please all the people all the time!
This villa has granite counters throughout, custom kitchen cabinetry, the carpets are fairly new as is the paint throughout. Our inspection revealed nothing wrong with the w/d other than a screw had come loose from the counter bracket and same has been replaced. The subject mattress was replaced in 2009, but may be relatively soft compared to the guest's home mattress. We have reported the sleeper sofa to the owner as one that could be replaced. The property owner has always been very responsive and I expect that the sofa will be replaced very soon.

We enjoyed our stay in this unit. We have stayed in the Shorewood Complex many times before and love it. It has a great family atmosphere, a large pool, and well-maintained grounds. 102 is very attractive. The kitchen is furnished well. Our only complaint was that the matress in the master bedroom was a bit uncomfortable and needed replaced. Other than that, terrific unit!

Mattresses are challenging in that "not one fits all" . The subject mattress is not old or worn, but it is not a "firm" or "hard" mattress.

This is the first time my family has rented a condo; we generally always stick with beach-front hotels. But we were vacationing with another family and needed something larger. I was very impressed with the condo itself; it has all the amenities of home and very clean. And this unit is very close to the pool (but not immediately adjacent so no problems with noise!) and only steps from the beach.
The folks at Goode Vacation Rentals were extremely easy to work with and provided information in advance regarding things to do with the kids and directions to HH. Overall, I highly recommend both this unit and Goode Vacation Rentals and wouldn't hesitate to go with either in the future.

My friend and I stayed here for just 3 nights, and we wish we had stayed 2 weeks. We are older ladies and traveled with our 2 grandchildren (girls), They loved this place, they woke up wanting to step out to the pool and the beach, they are still talking about it. Nice, Clean, lots of room and everything was within walking distance.I would highly recommend this place to anyone. We will be back.

Our family came together in order to celebrate our mom's birthday. we have stayed here before, and had the same wonderful experience. The five of us had ample room to spread out, whether inside, on the patio, or a 100 yd. walk to the beach. we just love oct. on HHI. We will return.
