We have stayed at Ocean One many times and in man different units over the past 20+ years. We have always dealt with a different rental company, but they were unable to accommodate our dates of stay this time so we tried Sea Turtle Getaways. I have never been treated so rudely and abruptly at check-in. The lack of customer service from booking to checkout was evident. We decided to try a new beach in South Carolina this year. We may be back to HHI, but not with Sea Turtle Getaways.

The condo (Ocean One #407) was great, the pool was beautiful and the weather was gorgeous. Overall our time in Hilton Head was great. Great shopping for the wife and daughters within walking distance. We had the opportunity to do some horse back riding at Lawton Stables and went out on a boat looking for (and finding) some dolphins. I think we liked the relaxed environment the most. Everyone was friendly. I can't say there was anything we liked the least except perhaps the limited time we were able to spend there.

The staff at Sea Turtles has been excellent to deal with; warm, pleasant, and responsive to any requests.
As long term renters (3 winter months), we see our getaway as a home away from home, rather than a vacation. Since we treat the rental the same way we treat our home, we look to have similar amenities. The few shortcomings at Ocean One 407 are in our opinion as follows:
* vacuum cleaner is inadequate;
* king bed is quite soft and doesn't provide good sleep support;
* on a minor note, long-term renters need a better supply of dish towels/cloths than was initially provided (there was only one of each).
Otherwise, we found the condo well-appointed. The kitchen has a very good supply of utensils and cookware.

We had a wonderful experience at Ocean One. The room was perfect; we had an excellent view of pool and ocean. The condo was very clean and updated which was wonderful. Great access to the beach. We really liked the fact that is is not a hugh complex. Walking distance to the Coligny shopping complex was accessable and a great option.
The only negatives would be that the beach was extremely crowded so bike riding on the beach was not possible during the day. Also, going to the different planations at night for any dining out or other attractions were also extremely crowded.
Overall, Hilton Head is not nearly as commercialized as other beaches we have been to (Myrtle) it has kept the beatiful flora and is a neatly manicured/well-kept area. I would recommend going back to Hilton Head and especially Ocean One in the future.

Thoroughly enjoyed this newly renovated Unit. We routinely vacation on Hilton Head and this was the best "off Plantation" location we have visited. The pool was clean and well equipped. The ocean with the long, wide beach is just beyond the pool.
Shopping and dining out are within a block of the Unit. Golf and tennis are nearby.
The shore breeze is wonderful.
