So happy that we found this lovely cottage for our winter long-weekend getaway.
The weather was incredibly cold, with frequent snow flurries, which only added to the magic of this lovely cottage.
The property itself was luxuriously furnished throughout, so we soon settled ourselves in, and felt very much 'at home'. The only slight problem was the regular appearance of flies in the cottage - I would imagine that in warmer weather this could be a real nuisnace.
The owners were friendly and unobtrusive, and the basket of fresh eggs was a nice touch.
The weather somewhat limited our walking activities, but Hinderwell is perfectly situated to explore the dramatic North Yorkshire Coastline - we ranged from Whitby and Staithes all the way up to Redcar.
The high-point of our stay was relaxing beneath a frosty, starry sky in the hot tub - a memory that we will treasure.
