Description from the owner
The location of this property could not be more perfect. Peace and privacy for those who want to chill out, yet with all amenities just around the corner. It is set on the first floor of a villa on a quiet residential street in Hissar town. The ground floor of the villa is not occupied so those who rent here will have the whole place to themselves.
There is a private courtyard at the front where you can relax. Shaded by vines, you can pick your own grapes in season.
A secluded yet central location at hostel bed prices!

Additional Location Information
"A little piece of heaven" is how one man from a nearby town described Hisarya to us. It's a popular spa resort in the foothills of the Sredna Gora Mountains, about 40km North-East of Plovdiv. It's mild climate and hot springs make it a year round destination, and it's beautiful parks and clean air can be enjoyed in all seasons. There are many attractions in the town: swimming pools, wellness therapy, massages, horse-riding and a wide variety of lovely cafes & restaurants to enjoy as you stroll around.

IrelandA really great place to stay
Left on 02/15/2010 for a stay in June 2009
My partner and I stayed in this lovely apartment in Hissar for two weeks in June 2009. The apartment is clean, comfortable, airy, and in a very quiet, up-market area of the town. The apartment is on the upper floor of an old bulgarian house which has been restored very tastefully and to a high standard. There are two patio areas, ,one at the front and one to the back of the house, where we sat in the evenings, listening to the sound of cicadas and looking at the stars. The apartment is well equipped, and has an excellent air conditioning system which works very quickly to cool everything down when it gets very hot outside. The bed was very comfortable, and the owners had left a good supply of bed linen and towels for our use. There are very good shops, restaurants, and the local tourist office all within a few minutes walk of the apartment. The town itself is a pretty magical place, full of healing water spas, old wells where you can drink the spa water for free, roman ruins, fountains, etc. Most people do not speak english, but are very helpful and kind, and it is very easy to make yourself understood with some sign language and a phrase book. The women who work in the tourist office all speak english, and will go out of their way to help you with any request or inquiry. The local people in general seem to have a very relaxed attitude to life, and most people stroll around unhurried and chilled out. Many people sit out in the local parks, either just relaxing in the sun, or reading. There are many good restaurants with a very high quality of food, including good vegetarain dishes, and a very good one we visited often is The National, which is just around the corner from the apartment. The proprietors there are Boyanka and Kircho, who speak english, are very warm and friendly, and have an english translation of their menu available. If you wish to cook yourself, there is a very good cooker in the apartment, and several local supermarkets nearby where you can buy fresh vegetables, fruit, meat, eggs, and the local wine from a winery just a few miles away. Food and wine are extremely cheap to buy, but of a good quality. We absolutely loved our time in Hissar, and were very sad to leave. It is a perfect place to go to relax, and get away from the rat race.We would definitely stay in this apartment again!
