Great one night stay
Left on 04/07/2013 for a stay in March 2013
Enjoyed our one night stay in Hobart. The place was clean and in a good, quiet location. Very comfortable beds. Enjoyed the range of teas and light breakfast supplies but there was only one bowl provided for four people so we had to share, I am sure we could have got some extra if we called and asked for some though - it wasn't a big issue.

Excellent views, clean and welcoming

Two bedroom apartment on the first floor. It's west of the city, a short drive or a long-ish walk with some steep hills, but close to local shops and restaurants. The apartment was very clean and appeared recently renovated. Excellent provisions, and a fantastic view of Mt Wellington.

Low roof, very small kitchen, expensive, car spot too small.
May be ok for $150 a week certainly not above $165.Response from John Hoggett & Ann Porteus - 12/08/2012
Owner
We are sorry that you were disappointed with your stay at Toogooloowa.
I assume that the low roof refers to the differing heights of the ceiling throughout the apartment.
As described in the listing this is part of a heritage classified colonial property and as such cannot be changed to lift the loft or stable roof and create a level or higher ceiling.
We did not know that you had a problem with the free off street covered car park. We could have happily allocated a larger outdoor space for you on request. We live at the property and problems such as this are very easily sorted.
We believe that the price for our properties at the time you stayed during the high season is very reasonable. The price you paid was $45 per person. Prices are staggered throughout the year with much lower prices mid year. There are cheaper properties available but not with our proximity to the city.
The kitchen is compact but it is also clean and very well equipped with everything needed to prepare a meal. There is a ceramic cooktop with exhaust fan, oven, microwave, refrigerator, toaster and kettle as well as all pots and pans, crockery, cutlery and utensils.
We do hope that you enjoyed other aspects of your stay in our beautiful island state.

Exeter NHHobart apartment, beautifully furnished, maintained and convenie
Left on 11/02/2012 for a stay in October 2012
The hosts were very helpful and the apartment surpassed our expectations. Convenient to central Hobart. About 20 minutes by car from the airport. We rented a car and were glad we did because Tasmania is lovely but rural enough that having a car allows seeing more of the island. We stayed a few extra nights because the apartment was so pleasant ( it was spring and so much in bloom-- roses, azaleas, lilies, and even tulips at the same time!).

We arrived late at night and everything was well set up for us. It was nice to have off street parking and arrive and go to sleep. In the morning it was very nice to sit out on the back deck. It was great to have two bedrooms at a reasonable price. This works wellif you have a car.

Owner
Thank you Debbieann,
We are happy that you enjoyed your stay.
The apartment is upstairs with 2 bedrooms, living and bathroom all on the same level. Downstairs is an extra sitting room and entry. This room is sometimes used when people need the extra fold out bed.
Hoping this year to have our second apartment downstairs with just 1 bedroom refitted and ready to let.
All the best,
Ann
