Terrific Experience in the Beautiful Hocking Hills!
We enjoyed a wonderful stay at the Pine Grove Cabin. The cabin was fully set up and everything was clean and organized. The view was awesome and the private lot made our romantic getaway just about us. We highly recommend this cabin to anyone traveling to Hocking Hills!

Pine Grove Cabin...one of Hocking Hills best kept secrets
We have stayed at several places in Hocking Hills over the years & Pine Grove is one of our favorites. No, it's not a grand, contemporary, multilevel modern cabin but it is one of the most comfortable places we've had. Mark & Tanya have done an excellent job of renovation & upkeep. Very tasteful choice of colors & decorating. Furnishings, hot tub & kitchen are great & the place was very clean which is of the utmost importance in our opinion. Our stay was a "last minute" plan, I called & spoke to Mark personally. He was accommodating & down to earth, a pleasure to talk to. We loved this place inside & out.
London best friends
The hemlock cabin was the best decision we made to spend time with good friends and for some over due R&R.; We highly recommend this cabin to anyone who enjoys the out doors & the beauty that surrounds it. We have chose to make this our anual trip we had so much fun. You would never regret your choice to spend your vacation or a weekend here.
Fun girls' weekend!
This is the second year my girlfriends and I have rented this property for a scrapbooking weekend. It provides plenty of sleeping space as well as room to set up our tables and work away! We enjoy having the tv on in the background, having a fully functional kitchen immediately accessible, and dipping in the hot tub for an occasional break. Both years we have left for a couple hours only to get some fresh air and enjoy the nearby trails. We definitely recommend this to other small groups or families. It has all you need for a great weekend away!

Simply put absolutly Fantastic
You can not find a better place for a getaway. Tina and I spent 4 of the most relaxing wonderful days we have had in years. The cabin is beautiful, spotlessly clean and well decorated. The fall colors in full regalia central location to the Hocking Hills attractions. We hiked the property and all the surrounding sites. I t rained on our last day so we snuggled up in front of the fire place and watched movies. A perfect end to wonderful stay.
The most relaxing adventure ever!
This Hocking getaway was absolutely perfect! Spent three wonderful nights in the Hemlock cabin surrounded by loved ones. We enjoyed the many amenities provided and really enjoyed the "Dollar Game"! One literally only needs food and clothing because everything else is supplied. Thank you Mark & Tanya for providing a wonderful cabin and going above and beyond all expectations! You have earned another loyal customer! So until the next adventure...Keep Calm & Chive On

Another incredible stay!
My wife and I just wrapped up our annual visit to Hocking Hills. Every year we and two other couples spend some quality time away from all the everyday stresses. We discovered this gem of a cabin (Pine Grove) in 2011 and have returned for the past three years. Honestly, we have no desire to stay anywhere else! Mark and Tanya take great pride in their property and it really shows! The cabin is spotless and full of amenities. Our favorite spot is the hot tub. What a terrific way to relax after a day of hiking, zip lining or horseback riding! We're familiar with every nook and cranny of the cabin and consider it our home away from home! In my opinion, you won't find a better experience, so if you're looking for a cabin, this is the one!
Great Location and Owners great to work with
This was our second year staying at the Pine Grove. Mark and Tanya are very timely getting your paperwork to you. The place is clean and the hot tub is wonderful! Nice they provide firewood for you. We will be back...

Hemlock Log Cabin
We really enjoyed the clean cabin and all extras (Wi-Fi)and etc. The dollar game was interesting also. This cabin was very close to most of the local attractions. This made for a very fun and relaxing trip. The hot tub after biking and hiking was sweet. I accidentally left my phone charger and Mark sent it right out to me very quickly. We will be back again sometime when the leaves change. Debbie and Dale Russell

Relaxing anniversary getaway!
We stayed at the Hemlock log cabin for two nights to celebrate our one year wedding anniversary. We really enjoyed the cleanliness of the cabin, as well as the modern amennaties, such as wifi and satellite TV. We felt like the owners take great pride in their property, and truly wanted us to enjoy out stay. We got a kick out of playing the Nintendo 64 located in the loft. It's close to hikes around the area and we felt very secluded while we were enjoying grilling out and relaxing in the hot tub. We plan on staying here again, possibly with some friends since it is a big place. Thanks!!
Gorgeous cabin and great owners!
My husband and I booked a cabin at Best Nest in Hocking Hills for our honeymoon because we love the area so much. However, when we arrived the place was not at all as advertised - small, filthy, high grass, etc. We had no intention on settling for a place like that for one of the most special times in our life, so I quickly began browsing the internet for a new place to stay. Luckily, I came across the Pine Grove Cabin and my husband called and spoke with Mark. Mark went above and beyond to make our trip better. He immediately sent someone over to make sure his gorgeous cabin was ready for us as soon as possible. When we got there the place took our breath away. It was immaculate! The cabin has a very comfortable and relaxing feel to it. The very first thing we noticed was the huge bathroom including whirlpool tub! (It was amazing!) And the king sized bed in the master bedroom was so comfortable!! All of the wood furnishings were beautiful! And the hot tub.. Amazing! You can really tell that they take pride in this place and truly cares about the people who stay there, so we even decided to book an extra night! We will definitely be coming back for another stay! Thanks so much for a great stay!!! Read more

Thank you for your kind review, we are glad you found us and had a great stay. We want to remind our potential guests go to www.hockinghills.com/hemlock to get real time availability, rates, and you can book the cabin. We only use tripadvisor and flipkey for guest reviews, it has gotten very confusing as tripadvior and flipkey are now wanting inn keepers to also book reservations thru their reservation system. This has created a lot of confusion, we apologize for this!!
This past May we completed our 11th year renting the Hemlock and Pine Grove Log Cabin with no price increase from 2002. Thanks again!
A Home away From Home
As a couple we enjoy coming to the Hocking Hills at least once a year to reconnect and recharge. We have stayed at a variety of cabins in our stays. This was our first experience with Pine Grove, it certainly will not be the last! Quality through and through. Clean, comfortable, and filled with wonderful amenities. We joked that we weren't going to leave. A new favorite in accommodations has been found! Thank you so very much, Mark and Tanya. We already are anxiously waiting for our next trip. -Rob and Melissa Leist
Comfortable get-away cabin in a convenient location
We have stayed at many cabins in the Hocking Hills region, and this one ranks up there as one of the nicest. It was very clean and well-maintained; very nicely and comfortably furnished and had the cleanest and largest hot tub we have encountered...the owners said they change the water between guests, and it was clearly true (just make sure you follow their directions regarding checking the chemical balance and adding chlorine if necessary). From the outside this is a very modest-looking ranch-style log house, but inside it has some surprises: a wonderful layout, with lovely views front and back (especially from the dining area); super-comfy great room; and a large, very nice master bath with a whirlpool tub. Great location near Cantwell Cliffs and the Rock House, two must-see Hocking Hills state parks, and not far from all the other cave areas. It is equally convenient to Route 33 and Logan, if you want to go out to eat at one of the local restaurants. This a nice, convenient and comfortable "home base" from which to explore the Hocking Hills.
Beautiful, clean, comfortable and well-appointed cabin.
Our family (2 adults, 1 child, 1 baby and a senior) had a wonderful time staying at this cabin over the last few days. The many bedrooms, excellent kitchen, beautiful fireplace (with wood provided), hot-tub and pool table were fabulous. We also appreciated having a washer and dryer on-site (with detergent and fabric softener provided). We found nothing lacking. Thank you for a wonderful experience.
Another Great Stay at Hemlock Cabins!
I've stayed at this cabin several times over the past few years- girlfriend getaways, romantic trips and this past visit- a quick weekend for another couple, my husband and me. Reserving and checking into the cabin is always easy- Mark does a great job of answering questions, giving detailed directions, leaving info about the home, TV, etc. The cabin is very comfortable with 4 bedrooms, a seating area with fireplace, a kitchen with pots, pans, plates and everything else we need to cook up dinners. Plus, it is always nice to spend the evenings relaxing in the hottub, playing a game of pool or sitting on the front porch. The Cabin is located just up the road from Conkles's Hollow which has some really good hiking. We already have another weekend booked for the summer and I am looking forward to another visit!
Perfect Romantic Get away
My girlfriend and I booked this cabin back in Dec for our 1 year anniversary gift to one another but what she didn't know was I was going to use this weekend to propose to her. Mark was great to work with as he helped me out by having the cabin just perfect for our arrival. The fire place was on, champagne with glasses on the table, and the lighting set low for the perfect mood to ask her to marry me. Mark and his wife when way beyond anything I could have asked for to make sure the cabin was perfect for our memorable weekend. She said yes by the way.
The hot tub on the screened in patio was perfect to relax in while we sat and watch it snow all weekend. The bedrooms were all good size and the kitchen has about everything you need to have a relaxing weekend. We didn't take advantage of the grill or outdoor fire pit due to the chilly weather but will on our next trip here. You can tell that Mark and Tanya take pride in offering a quality cabin at a very reasonable rate.
The cabin was every easy to find and in a wonderful location if you want to get out and enjoy all the Hocking Hills area has to offer. We will be coming back for sure to share this wonderful place with friends and family.
Perfect Winter Getaway
Great location up on a hill. We loved the wood burning fireplace (the wood was a bit green to burn however). The hot tub was nice and big since we had 8 people total. We cooked all our meals and the kitchen was very well equipped. The place is spotless and comfortably decorated. Read more

Couldn't have had a better anniversary
My husband and I stayed here for our 4 year anniversary! This place is beautiful! Clean! The cabin had everything that we needed (for the most part). We were able to cook a complete meal between the kitchen and grill. We enjoyed the fireplace as well. There is a washer and dryer for use and two baths. (we only needed the one bath). We enjoyed the dollar game as well (see the guest books if you visit). The cabin is closer to the main road then other cabins, however it is far enough back where you still feel isolated and private. The hot tub was great! It sat on a covered deck, so you still felt outside. The jacuzzi was just as nice inside the bathroom.
There is no service for cell phones and the like however they do provide a land line for you to use as needed.
We ventured out to the local walmart (in case you forget anything or want to shop), we also went to Kanji for dinner (hibachi style food) all within 15-20 minutes). The last day we went to the Rivervalley mall which was only 20 mins away also.
So it is close enough to other spots if you wish to venture out, however the cabin is so beautiful you might not want to go anywhere.
The pictures really do it no justice. Oh and it is very spacious! Bigger than we expected.
I'd recommend this for sure~ Read more

Perfect for a Scrapbooking Retreat!
A few girlfriends and I reserved this cabin for a scrapbooking weekend. The location of the home was within 45 minutes of where we all live and the size was perfect for our group. We brought in a couple of our own tables to work on that fit perfectly in the family room. We kept the large dining table full of food to graze on throughout the day. All the amenities on-site allowed us to work consistently without having to leave for any reason. We had access to music or movies to have on in the background and the hottub to give us a relaxing break. We ate all meals in so we didn't lose any work time! We definitely hope to use this cabin again in the future. It was very nice, neat, and everything we needed!
Awesome family weekend getaway!
This is a great cabin to spend the weekend in! We had an awesome family weekend getaway here. My family had a great time relaxing in the cabin the whole weekend and hiking in the rain! I took some amazing pictures just outside of the cabin and on the deck with the beautiful view! I can't wait till next time!
Mini honeymoon in the hills!
We really enjoyed the cabin! It was just enough for our little honeymoon! Can't wait to go back next year!
Beautiful, clean cabin in a nice area. Nicely furnished kitchen. Washer and dryer a nice bonus. Owners are wonderful!! We were a younger group visiting so the guys would have liked a TV by the hot tub or darts with the pool table, but we realize you can't have it all! Had a cozy, relaxing weekend with our cousins and husbands.

This cabin is set up for comfort and relaxation. We have stayed here several times and will stay again. It is easy in and out with all the amenities you could possibly want. Beautiful and comfortable living room with a very nice gas fireplace and just a step out to the hottub. There realy is no dislikes!

Always enjoy our stay here
This is our fifth year to stay at Hemlock Cabin. We love the seclusion (no road noise and no close neighbors), the cleanliness, the woodburning fireplace with plenty of split firewood available, and the spacious hot tub. The cabin is roomy...plenty of room to spread out. There's a pool table in the basement (you need to buy cue stick chalk!) that we girls really enjoy.
Things that could be improved, or negative changes from our previous visits, were the missing shower in the upstairs bathroom, no dish towels in the kitchen, it would be nice if you sharpened your knives occasionally, and some kindling would be nice, or at least an axe for the guests to split their own.
But all in all these are very small complaints and certainly won't keep us away, we love staying at Mark & Tanya's cabin in the woods and look forward to it every year. See y'all next fall! Read more
Response from Mark & Tanya Brobeck - 10/27/2012
Thank you for your review!! We appreciate your continued stays with us!! I have ordered a ginsu 10 piece knife set for each cabin, plan on buying new kitchen towels this week and bringing down more pool table chalk (it falls in the ball pockets of all places!) Your suggestion last year of a robe hanger upstairs was a great one also! We had to do away with the hand shower on the upstairs tub due to numerous accidents of the wand going out of control when turned on and spraying water all over the floor!! It is now just a bath faucet, still feels great to take a bath in a 60" claw tub!! Still have shower downstairs

Pine Grove Cabin
We had a wonderful first trip to Hocking Hills.
My husband and I and our two young kids can't wait to come back. We never go to the same place twice because we like to try new things, but I have a strong feeling we will be back. The hikes and caves were breathtaking and the cabin was wonderful! It had everything in it that we could have possibly needed! All we had to bring was the food and our swim suits!

What a terrific cabin for a much needed getaway!
My wife and I shared the Pinegrove cabin with two other couples. This was our second visit to the cabin, and it will become an annual tradition!
The cabin is lovely and very well maintained. It was spotlessly clean and full of amenities. The kitchen is fully equipped with all appliances and includes pots, pans, dishes and utensils. A gas grill is also available! There is direct TV if you want to watch (we didn't, cuz we can do that at home!) Instead, we gravitated to the hot tub! What a great way to unwind after a day of hiking or zip lining! Bottom line, Mark and Tanya see to it that everything anyone could need is provided!
If you're looking for the perfect place to enjoy your time in the Hocking Hills, look no further! This is the cabin for you!!

Great cabin with an awesome deck and chairs. Very relaxing and having the firewood right there and jacuzzi was the best. Clean, comfortable and a great area to spend the weekend. Stayed with 4 other adults and there was plenty of room for everyone.

Quiet and Restful Stay
This home is an absolute respite, suited like none other to the Hocking Hills. It is warm and cozy, and Mark and Tanya make the place feel like home. We thoroughly enjoyed our three day stay and will return again and again. The quality and comfort of the decor and amenities, the loads of natural light that fill up the home, the location between a number of trails and Logan, and the quiet surrounding woods and hillside setting make this home an unmatched gem in the Hills. We've stayed in a number of places and found none as perfect as this.
Loved Hemlock Cabin!
Five of us spent a long weekend at Hemlock Log Cabin Sept. 13-16, and it was fabulous! I was one of three who had my own room; the other two shared the king-sized bed. The balcony, the fireplace, the completely outfitted kitchen, the Scrabble and Trivial Pursuit games, the pool table -- it was all great! Very relaxing; a beautiful location. (We suggest low gear for the driveway.) The twin kittens someone had dropped off were so cute, one of my girlfriends brought them home. I would recommend it highly for older guests -- we are mostly in our 60s -- unless people can't climb hills and stairs: The entrance is through the basement.
It was perfect!
The cabin was stunning, equipped with everything you wanted or needed. Amazing views and a hot tub! I hope to return.
Nice place to stay, hot tub wonderful and owners are great to wo
We had 3 couples stay at the Pinegrove. Mark was very pleasant to talk with and the place was really nice. We had all the linens we could ask for and they even provide plenty of paper products that you may need. The beds were comfortable the hot tub was clean and the jets were great! They provide firewood which is a plus as in the past the place we stayed before did not so that was one more thing we had to always remember to pack! It would have been nice to have a mirror someplace other than the bathrooms but other than that you could not ask for more...Fun Stay!
Restful, safe, quiet and comfortable
I really needed this respite and the Hemlock Log Cabin was exactly that. Being with four close friends also helped. My bedroom was perfect...I snore and was able to do so without disturbing the others...sort of...upstairs bedroom heard me through the floor but oh well.
As we mentioned in our notes, I took the two grey kittens and call them my little souvenirs from Hocking Hills. Their names have been changed by my son to Eddie and Patsy Woodpile.
The driveway was a bit of a challenge but not being one of the owners of a car I could care less. No really, at first it was tough but we got the hang of it.
The little knick-knacks make it homey, the fireplace cosy, and the hot tub relaxing. You stocked the cabin with every ammenity and the furniture was the best. I probably spent more time on the porch which gave me the feeling of being in a tree house.
You must be very proud to own a cabin like this knowing the pleasure you give to those who need a rest.

Thank you for you stay and your response!! We had just seen the kittens the one time, they must have wandered from a farmhouse, great they have a good home!! On the driveway we suggest you don't stop when going into the 2nd driveway, if you do it is tad harder to get traction depending on what type of vehicle you have. That was the tradeoff for the location bordering the Hocking State Forest! Thanks again!! Mark & Tanya

Last Get away before the snow flys
This was a great get away, Right from the time we came up the drive way, The cabin was real nice. the hot tub was very nice after a full day of walking, zip line, horse back riding. I would come back again and again. The on only thing we didnt like was the water in the cabin. I would bring bottled water for making coffee, Other than that everything was great...
Pine Grove Cabin
I stayed at the pine grove cabin and was very pleased with my stay. The cabin and property it sits on was absolutely beautiful. It is a very tranquil, and peaceful place. They really keep this place up to date and have everything you could possibly need from kitchen utensils to a gas grill, to a fire pit and firewood and a wonderful hot tub. They have cable TV, full furnished and all bed linens are provided. If you are looking for a place to getaway this place is perfect and to top it off it is easy to get to and not very far from Columbus. I will be a repeat customer for sure! Extremely pleased! Not one negative thing to say about this place. Read more

Thank you Mr Hanson for your review!! Congradulations on getting married this month!! We appreciate your business!! Mark & Tanya
A wonderful relaxing getaway with all our dream amenities.
Loved this property. The owners are wonderfully kind and very appreciative of the business. The home is secluded and the property land is very well kept. The bedrooms and all contents are very clean and in perfect working order. The decor is tasteful and the amenities are luxurious and comfortable. We would recommend this cabin to all our family and friends. My personal favorite things about the cabin were the hot tub, the shower with 2 shower heads, and the log cabin structure which was such a nice change from our regular home of drywall and carpet.
Spacious and quiet
The house was in beautiful condition, and it is obvious it is well maintained by the owners.
My girlfriend and I had a lovely time, and I would recommend this cabin to anyone who is looking for quiet relaxation, or a quick escape from the daily grind.
Our stay in your cabin was wonderful! Your host was very accomodating and helpful. He gave us wonderful information on the area. The cabin was right in the middle of everything we wanted to see.
The hot tub felt incredible after a full day of sightseeing. We spent Saturday night in the tub watching the meteor shower. Everything was comfortable and cozy. We heartily recommend it and will definately come to stay again. Thank you! Read more

Cabin was top notch. Very clean - had everything you need - including a washer and drier. Everything worked and was very comfortable.
Great Cabin, even better owners
We had a great time at your lovely cabin. You thought of everything. The unlimited firewood, large supply of towels and sheets, and all the other comforts that you provide made our stay so relaxing. The cabin was very clean and well furnished. The beds were very comfortable, the hot tub was very clean and the pool table provided a lot of fun. The owners are very accomodating and great to work with. We will definitely come again.
The Wagner family
Our family had a fabulous vacation!
You truly thought of everything we would need to make our vacation wonderful! The home was beautiful and comfortable. Lots of stairs but that was fine. We enjoyed soaking in the hot tub after a long day of hiking. Despite a couple of small "glitches" the first evening, we were able to get everything from the oven to the Nintendo sorted out and the stay was "successful!" The family all enjoyed playing pool. (The pool table in the basement was a pleasant surprise!) The driveway was a bit intimidating at first, but was easily managed. Although we didn't use the fire ring, it was nice to see a large supply of firewood ready and waiting. I appreciated the maps you included in our mailing. The map made it very easy to see many of the sights. It didn't take long for me to really "know my way around." Having the washer and dryer available made things much easier for when we got home!
Great stay at Pine Grove Cabin
We stayed in June and had great weather to go with our getaway at Pine Grove. The cabin was very clean and accomodated six of us comfortably. I like how the bedrooms are at the opposite side of the living room so you do not hear the noise. It would have been nice if the second bathroom was upstairs and not in an unfinished basement. The bathroom upstairs was very nice and roomy with a big tub. We enjoyed the hot tub and liked it being enclosed from the outside. We were supplied with plenty of towels and were provided with everything we needed. The kitchen is nice and the appliances are up to date. It helped to be provided with the extra paper plates and plastic cups in addition to the regular plates and glasses. The setup in the back yard was nice with plenty of chairs, picnic table and two "fire pits"...one portable if needed. It was nice to have firewood provided. I liked the front porch and the wood chairs were nice but the location of the cabin was too close to the road. I would have liked it to be further away from the main road. The location was close to the Hocking Hills Zipline...about 9 miles. Overall we enjoyed our stay and I would recommend this cabin. The owner Mark was very friendly and was easy to get a hold of when I had questions about the cabin prior to renting. Read more

Thank you for your review!! We lost two 100' pine trees at the end of the driveway in a storm last year, we plan on planting ten at the end of the driveway this fall for added privacy. The cabin sits back over 250 feet from the road, you can see an arial view on our website at www.hockinghills.com/hemlock scroll down to Pine Grove Log Cabin and hit the button for more pictures and you will find a picture we took from an airplane. The cabin is surrounded by woods with caves within a 5 minute walk!! Thanks again!

Cabin was awesome! Loved how you guys supplied just about everything you would need. Cabin was clean and well kept. Hot tub was great. You had firewood and gas grill. All those extras were awesome. I have only two recommendations. Fix the driveway. Gas prices are way to high and people are loading up there cars to save money. So cars, steep hills and loose gravel do not get along. And yes I used the second driveway. And second thing is put atleast one normal shower in or widen the one downstairs. This place was great though. Would definetely come back. Read more

Thank you for your review!!! In keepin with the authenic look and feel of a log cabin I installed a 4 foot claw tub with a shower ring and curtains on both sides and a five foot claw tub upstairs off the main bedroom. The township just tar and chipped hockman road last week so no loose gravel turning into the cabin, you can view the second driveway on the tripadvisor pictures, we will keep trying to make access to the cabin as easy as possible. We appreciate your business!!

Relaxing, Refreshing, No Kid, No Dog, etc. ... The Best!!!
This is our 7th or 8th trip to the Hills & always have a great time. All the cabins have been great, and so was your cabin. Comfortable, cozy, tons of towels(!!!), we had no needs for anything except any food or drinks we wanted. We know the area very well so we drive all over for the attractions and dining places. We will definitely be back to your cabin.
Fun Place to Stay!
We loved the cabin. Main bathroom was very large. We stayed in the main bedroom and the bed wasnt very comfortable, but that can be normal when you stay somewhere new. Nice big, open living room area w/ tv. Hot tub was nice, big, and clean!
The kitchen area though had a several inch or drop step down from the rest of the floor. Several times throughout the 2 night stay I almost fell tripping over that level change. It isn't very obvious during the day, especially at night. Doesn't make sense that it is there and would be very easy to fall & get hurt.
It is in a great location near area attractions. It is easy to get to right off a main road. No driving in the hills. :)

Thank you for your review of The Pine Grove Log Cabin!! The stepdown is between the living room and the dining room, it is a stairwell, very unusual place I agree, the log cabin was built in the 1940's, and we did a total restoration of the log cabin about 6 years ago!

Quiet, spacious cabin in the woods...
The cabin was spacious and welcoming. We really enjoyed having enough room for all of our friends to enjoy a relaxing weekend. The only issue we had was the noisy floor boards in the upstairs bedroom and loft. Our friends that slept in the downstairs bedrooms were woken up each time our friends staying upstairs would get out of bed. Very noisy!!!
On a positive note, the cabin is in a perfect location for visiting attractions and hiking trails. The cabin had everything that was needed for a large group. The hot tub and large deck was great! We would definitely rent this cabin again with a smaller group.
I want to say thank you! Shortly after our stay, we lost one of our best friends unexpectedly. Our group of friends have the Hocking Hills trip as our last weekend getaway with our buddy. We will always remember your cabin and the fun we had together.
Pine Grove Cabin
We had a great time over the Memorial Day weekend at the Pine Grove Cabin! The hot tub was an amazing amenity and the cabin was in great condition!
It was so nice to have the comforts of a modern cabin surrounded by the serenity of nature!
We will definitely be staying again! Read more

Thank you for your response!! The Pine Grove Log Cabin was built in the late 1940's as best as we can tell. We did a total renovation with new kitchen, bathroom, HVAC, etc to bring the modern amenities to the cabin!! Setting on 4 acres surrounded by hundreds of acres of woods with our own private caves makes it a perfect getaway!! We hope you return soon!! Thanks Again!
Nicely appointed, very clean, close to Hocking Hills Parks
Enjoyed our stay. "Cabin" was large and roomy with nice decor. Everything we needed was there. Very easy to check in and out. Close to Hocking Hills, other attractions, and town. Directions and instructions very clear except for hot tub. For those of us unfamiliar with hot tubs, I would recommend labels on the containers guests need to use(e.g., test strips; with note--if this result, then add... ; suggest putting label on bottle of whatever we were supposed to add to the water). Thank you for your response! We are going to better label the hot tub chemicals and instruction on use. We have a Jacuzzi J-340 which is oversized by about a foot (82" x 92") and has a waterfall and two pumps! We keep the hot tub water extremely clean and have the chemicals added before a guest stays. Sometimes the hot tub will not be up to temperature when you arrive due to a water change and will be available later in the evening. Thanks again for your review!!!
Perfect getaway for small group
We were very impressed with the cabin. From the decorations both inside and out. We participated in the Warrior Dash and the hot tub was a very welcome to help relax the sore muscles. The location was perfect. We are definitely planning a return trip and will recommend to friends and family. Read more

Thank you for your review of the Pine Grove Log Cabin, we appreciate your business and glad to hear of the great experiences at the Warrior Dash!
We have stayed at quite a few cabins over the last several years in the Hocking Hills area, and this by far was the best experience we have had. Mark and Tanya have made this place feel like your own. The way they supply the cabin leaves their guests not wanting for anything. It was nice to stay at a cabin in which when it describes it sleeps 8, it does not mean 4 or 6 people are on single beds in the loft. All beds were comfortable and the cabin itself was clean. We were in town this year to participate in the Warrior Dash, and knowing that we could count on getting in a well maintained hot tub in the evening to sooth our bodies was another perk! Thanks again, and see you next year, if not sooner. Read more

Hocking Hills what a beautiful area !!!
We stayed in the Pine Grove Log Cabin. It was an army reunion for three guys and their wives. They met in Germany over 30 years ago.The service was wonderful. Everything was very detailed on how to work the amenities around the cabin.(Fire places, Hot tub, cleanup.)The cabin is very spacious. Not like many that we have seen that everyone is under each other's feet all the time. As for location...All the national parks and attractions are close. Things like dining and stores are within minutes.
I think what we enjoyed the most was the space to relax and eat together. We had a wonderful time and are looking forward to going back sometime soon. I want to hike more of the trails, caves and waterfalls in the beautiful Hocking Hill of Ohio!! Thank you!!!

Bachelor party fun
My friend was looking for a low key bachelors party and through some research we found this amazing cabin. It was big enough so we could all stay comfortably without having to sleep on the couches. (Which wouldn't have been such a bad thing because they were very comfortable). It had a nice pool table in the basement. The grill allowed us to cook plenty of steaks, hot dogs etc without problems. (The owners provided the propane and an extra can in case we ran out). The cabin was close enough to Logan without sacrificing the scenery or quiet that we came down for to begin with. The hot tub was newer and we all fit pretty comfortably. The only thing worth mentioning as a problem was the steep gravel driveway. Luckily I had my four wheel drive otherwise getting up there (although not impossible) would have been difficult. Mark was extremely accommodating and helpful with working out payment and setting up the date. Read more

Thank you for your business! Justin and the crew were very respectful of the cabin and grounds!! The driveway is a Y driveway, we instruct guests to go to the second driveway and turn in, then back out and go down the steeper driveway, it is very workable even with a two wheel drive car!! Just be careful!! Just added the log furniture on the deck in time for warmer weather!! Thanks again and come back soon!!
mini family vacation
Really beautiful true log cabin with plenty of space for a whole family to have some time apart as well as plenty of room to be together. The cabin has a gorgeous stone fireplace and nice furnishings/decorations throughout the cabin. My family enjoyed the nice hot tub under the stars and the kids enjoyed the "retro" Nintendo 64 system w/ plenty of games (on separate t.v.). Nice extras include plenty of towels (bath and paper), plenty of comfortable seating, nice balcony, free firewood, fire ring, grill, nice-sized main t.v. w/ many channels including HBO. Very quaint with nearby farm (rooster crows) and very sweet visiting kitty. Very close to Conkle's Hollow and other attractions. Least favorite was the steep gravel driveway but we were able to figure out a technique to get up there in our SUV. Very nice cabin and good value! Read more

Lots of fun and relaxing.
The cabin was spacious, easily sleeping 8. A bit crowded around the kitchen table but we made it work. The deck was great and we enjoyed the clean, large hot tub. The location made it easy to access the many outdoor and indoor activities. We went in to Logan in 15 minutes and were able to get to the many outdoor places in the opposite direction. All our needs were anticipated as the cabin was well stocked with supplies (towels, paper towels and plates, all the things a kitchen needs and nice furniture). We slept well on comfy beds. The quiet and beauty were the key to it all. Read more

A very quiet, relaxing and romantic getaway
The cabin was wonderful. Everything furnished that we needed and more. The location was very private and quiet. The only negatives was the steep driveway, but was no problem. And the bath tubs instead of showers, but we got use to them. All in all, a very great place for the value... Read more

We loved it!!!
We came to celebrate my daughter's 18th birthday and to visit Hocking College. The cabin is better than the pictures, the kitchen is very well equipped, the bed rooms are very comfortable and the bathrooms sparkling clean. Mark and Tanya went out of the way to make our stay special. The location is fantastically private, off a beautiful road yet very easy to find. The hot tub was wonderful, and there was plenty of wood for both the indoor fireplace and the outdoor fire ring. Another great thing is the Hemlocks easy distance to the state park and Old Man's Cave, Ash Cave etc. I have visited Hocking Hills staying in cabins several times and this is without a doubt the best value around. You will not find a cabin this nice, comfortable and clean, this private, so close to the parks, at a price this reasonable. Kudos to Mark and Tanya for understanding reasonable prices for accommodations this nice, will bring repeat customers!

Long Beach, Ca
Me and four of my old college buddies had a chance to stay at the Hemlock this winter and our experience was perfect. The jacuzzi was a delight in the cool winter air. The accomodations inside were superb. Beds were very compfy and clean. Kitchen was fully equiped with everything we needed. Plenty of wood was provided for our nightly campfires. Also had some fun shooting pool in the basement. An all-around enjoyable experience and we cant wait to go back. Read more
