Marula Bush Lodge, a luxury selfcatering bushveld retreat, nestles gently on the foot of the Drakensberg Mountain Escarpment. Go for a walk in nature or a game drive and discover the wide variety of birds and wildlife species that are found on the Estate. You may also choose to become one with nature by going on a horse safari. There are two elevated bird hides overlooking dams. This beautiful private bush lodge is on Hoedspruit Wildlife Estate, only a few minutes from the quaint town of Hoedspruit. Hoedspruit is a typical tourist town in the heart of the Greater Kruger National Park.
Marula Bush Lodge is conveniently situated an easy 45 minutes drive from both the Phalaborwa Gate and the Orpen Gate to the Kruger National Park. It is 450 km from Johannesburg, or you may choose to take a plane to Eastgate Airport, an international airport only 16 km out of Hoedspruit.

upon arriving at the lodge we immediately fell at home .
the house is spacious and beautifully furnished .
we had 6 nights but would have loved to stay longer .
the lodge and the estate are conveniently located next to hoedspruit .
there is a shopping center at the gate to the estate , and several nice restaurants are to be found in Hoedspruit .
in the surrounding there are a lot of nice activities .
on the estate we saw giraffe, zebra , wildebeest , impala , kudu , springbok , warthog etc etc -

Right from booking our stay,receiving very professional directions to the lodge up to reception at the entrance of this magnificent wildlife and nature reserve was one impressive experience.
The home is an absolute gem.It is brand new, modern and very spacious with every luxury that you can imagine.You can watch wild animals in there natural state from the swimming pool,the stoep or even from your bedroom!
This very special place is located right next to the world renowned Kruger National Park as well as hundreds of tourist attractions in the immediate surrounding area.
The best experience was staying in this comfortable home and feeling that your best dream actually did come true! -
