Available as a one or two bedroom property, this charming "home from home" is set in tropical gardens, and just a short walk away from west coast beaches, shops, restaurants banks, and 50 ft resort pool with restaurant and bar.
AC available in the bedrooms as an optional extra @ USD12 per night per bedroom, but both bedroom have overhead fans. Both bedrooms have en suite shower rooms.The kitchen has gas stove, microwave, coffee maker, fridge/freezer, etc. The comfortable lounge with stereo and cable television opens onto the deck for alfresco dining. 186338Lovely cosy cottage conveniently situation near pool and beach
Left on 03/15/2012 for a stay in January 2012
This cottage was a lovely treat for the 9 nights we stayed. I thought it was even nicer than in the photos, (which rarely happens!) It was very cosy and pretty inside. It also had a lovely garden with loads of seating and a spacious veranda where we had all our meals. It was so nice we didn't really feel the need to eat out much! Everything was very clean when we arrived with the added bonus of the maid coming in twice during our stay. There was also the bonus of being able to use the swimming pool of the beach club just down the road. There was also a good supermarket and nice places to eat nearby. Another added bonus was the owner's adorable dog Humbug who came to say hello each morning and greeted us enthusiastically on our return each day!
Very, very minor niggles were the shower which was not as powerful as I would have liked and took a while to heat up and I found the bed in the twin room was a little hard for my taste (although appreciate this is a personal thing). Also, if you are a light sleeper I would definitely recommend bringing some earplugs to block out some of the nocturnal noises that inevitably come from staying in the tropics eg cecatas chirping, rain storms etc. However, overall this cottage was idyllic and I would definitely recommend it as a great place to stay in Barbados.
