Additional Location Information
WINTER UNAVAILABLE -OWNER OCCUPIED .Located in the premier section of Holetown, St. James, on the west coast (Caribbean side of Barbados), this beachfront condo is within a 5 min. walking distance of bars, restaurants, banks, shopping, supermarket, car hire, and boutiques. It is a 28 km drive from the airport by taxi - and a bus into the city Bridgetown takes 20 mins. Buses are inexpensive, run frequently and are used by visitors and locals alike. It is possible to visit places of interest by bus -or by hiring a car, or taking a taxi. All beaches are public in Barbados - private beaches are not allowed. The west coast known as the "Platinum Coast" is famous for its normally calm seas, upscale 5* hotels, residential estates, golf courses, and gourmet restaurants. As the island is roughly triangular in shape - the 3 coasts are all very different. The east coast is the Atlantic ocean, wild but beautiful. The south coast is industrial, more commercial and has numerous fast food outlets. The west coast on the Caribbean sea, is the chosen area for the "rich and famous", and has more trees, flowers, and residential atmosphere along with the majority of top class restaurants, hotels, as well as bistros, and Caribbean eating places.

We recently had the great pleasure of staying in condo Palm Beach Condos. Condo #1. This wonderful condo is owned by a lovely couple whom live there part time and share it with others for enjoyment. It is off the main hwy and very private, quiet and secluded. Condo #1 is very unique in that it is the only corner property facing the the beach with a wonderful balcony with great views of the sunset by evening and water activities by day. Lies 10ft from the beach. There are plenty of water activities available as well as just strolling on the beach and relaxing with restaurants available along the beach. There is a fresh water pool as well. It has a dining/living rm combination which is open air with multiple fans for excellent ventilation for tropical breezes and cooling. The condo is immacuately kept and well furnished. Kitchen has everything thing for cooking equisite meals. The bedroom has a king size bed and is cooled(air con) with multiple fans and very confortable for sleeping with the open windows for the wonderful sound of the surf. It is located within walking distance to grocery shopping, excellent restaurants of various meals, and gift shopping. Bus service is located on main street to take you all over the island. This was a 65th birthday gift for Cathy which will be remembered for a life time. We want everyone to know that is coming to Barbados this is the best place to come and stay. We hope to return soon and will be making our reservation only for condo # 1. The owners and Care taker Pat are a dream to work with and go out of their way to make your stay in their home most enjoyable. Thanks Dayle and George.

Highcliffe, Dorset, UKFantastic Beach Front Location!!
Left on 11/16/2011 for a stay in October 2011
Having stayed at The Mango Bay Hotel (next door) we knew exactly where the apartment was. It's a fabulous location right on the beach but close to the bars and restaurants in 1st & 2nd Street. That said we never heard any noise from the bars - only the waves crashing on the beach! The apartment is very well equipped and has a maid service provided every other day. You have the beauty of having cooking facilities and use of a fridge as well as some of the services of a hotel. The pool area was well maintained and there were plenty of sun beds available. We spent a great day at Mullins Beach as well as eating out at the beach side restaurant one night. The food was as always fabulous. We also splashed out for the Sunday brunch at the nearby Sandy Lane. Expensive but worth it for a treat! You just won't need to eat for the next few days! Other restaurants worth a mention are Cariba and The Mews. Great meals and service in both. There are so many great restaurants in and around Holetown you really are spoilt for choice which is why we opted to stay in an apartment rather than an expensive all inclusive hotel. We also had a great trip swimming with the turtles - great fun! A must is a visit to Lexy's piano bar too. All in all Holetown is a great place and this apartment is in one of the beach locations to enjoy it! Hope to return soon!!

Condo #1, Palm Beach is a lovely apartment situated on the beach in Holetown. It is beautifully furnished and with a very well equipped kitchen. The balcony overlooks the beach with wonderful views.
It is situated in the heart of Holetown, with numerous bars and restaurants within easy walking distance. There are plenty of shops nearby including a large supermarket.
The condo is surrounded by beautiful tropical gardens, which are very well looked after and there is also a private pool.
We have been coming here for many years and cannot rate it highly enough.Response from Dayle and George Rasmussen - 06/05/2011

Dear Fiona & Martin,
Thank you once again for writing a review of our home - and now, after all these years, "your home away from home" too! - Other potential visitors really appreciate the opportunity to be able to rely on the experiences of repeat guests like yourselves.
Thank you also for calling the condo complex's pool a "private" pool - I've told potential visitors many times, that the pool is often so frequently deserted, that I'm known to fall asleep beside it, as we are the only ones there!
As you know - we always keep your "3 week annual holiday" period, blocked off, and we have booked you back in for next year.
As ever, we, plus our friends and neighbours in the complex always look forward to your visit. Thank you again, Dayle and George

Sometimes Holetown, Barbados (but we wish to remain anon please)A wonderful choice!
Left on 05/24/2011 for a stay in July 2007
My wife and I recommend the Beachfront Condo in lovely Barbados. It has become our favourite getaway, and we look forward to returning there again and again.
We loved the place so much when we saw and read about it on-line, we decided to get married right there on the beach before we'd even seen it in person - and we have no regrets!
The beach is lovely, the surroundings are perfect to unwind in, and the hospitality-from-afar shown by the absentee hosts makes you feel like you really are at home. All the amenities you need to live are there, and if you pre-order, you can have the food-basics waiting for you on arrival.
Gift shops, grocery stores, "Flindt's Bistro”, banks, pubs, diving facilities, wineries, and liquor stores all are just around the corner, and world-renowned restaurants, like "Tides” are a short walk away.
After enjoying another sun-drenched day on the sandy beach, let the music from neighbourhood steel drum bands serenade you over dinner on your patio while you watch the beautiful sunset. Then let the waves softly wash ashore as they lull you to sleep... What else could you want?! This is heaven!
Be sure to book early, as it does sell out by repeat guests (like us!) well in advance.
We stayed there in 2007 and 2008 (It's not possible to list "multiple stays" on this website, unfortunately) and if work ever permitted the time off when we want to stay there, we would be back a great deal more often, I can promise you that. It really is a slice of paradise.
The guest book shows tons of people who are repeat guests so we must be right about how lovely it is to stay and call it your very own home-away-from-home.
Enjoy your visit!Response from Dayle and George Rasmussen - 05/25/2011

Have been to this apartment on many occasions and have booked again for next year - speaks for itself. Wonderful apartment, close to all amenities. Walking distance from shops and many restaurants, which are excellent.
The apartment is bright and light and very well maintained. We are looked after wonderfully by the lady who manages the complex and is extremely kind and helpful with everything we need and is very knowledgeable about the island generally.
The views from the apartment are second to none, the best on the West Coast. Sitting on the balcony watching the sunset is a magical experience - especially with a glass of beer or wine.
Walking in the edge of the sea down to the beach bar is a must.
Just looking forward to our next holiday.Response from Dayle and George Rasmussen - 05/25/2011

HI "Nojo"
How nice of you to take time and write a review of our winter home. We know that you are so careful of all our things - and always leave our home in tip top condition - so much so - that our maid and friends always look forward to your annual visits! - And yes, we also sit on the balcony every evening watching the "magical" sunset - a fantastic light show put on nightly by Mother Nature. - Looking forward to seeing you again next year. Many thanks once again for your consideration and help in writing the above - we understand that potential guests value the experience of long time repeat visitors. -

North of England UKCondo with stunning views on the beautiful island of Barbados
Left on 05/12/2011 for a stay in September 2009
I have just returned from spending a week at the Condo and wish that I had been able to stay longer. The Condo is everything as described but it is impossible to appreciate the stunning location or views from the balcony and windows without a visit. I would have no hesitation in recommending this accommodation for a perfect stay in Barbados. The property is well maintained and a local lady and her husband were on hand to address any needs or queries. They were marvellous in ensuring that we had everything we needed to enjoy our holiday.
There are a number of restaurants etc. within a short walking distance and also access to regular, inexpensive public transport to enable visits to all parts of the island.
Swimming with the turtles, walking along the beach as sunset, watching the local monkeys in nearby trees and seeing the variety of visiting birds make this a very special holiday destination and location.
The owners of the property made the reservation i.e. booking of the Condo as simple as possible even to the point of arranging the provision of some groceries so that we could have our breakfast etc. on the first day without going shopping.
I have stayed at a number of four and five star hotels in Barbados in the past but my week at this Condo was a better/first class experience all round. One which I am keen to repeat in the near future.Response from Dayle and George Rasmussen - 05/25/2011
