This comfortable, self-catering studio apartment is in one of three low-rise buildings set amid tropical gardens in a quiet location five minutes' walk from Holetown, west coast of Barbados. Inside we offer a fully equipped kitchen, bathroom with shower, kingsize or twin beds, ceiling and stand-alone fans, dining area and other seating. A small extra bed is available for a small child if necessary. Games and books are there for your enjoyment. Outside you can relax with a drink and enjoy the tropical breezes on the patio, furnished with table, chairs and lounger. There is direct access to the beach -- the lovely Discovery Bay beach, a 30 seco...nd walk away, and the Sandpiper beach next door. Daily maid service is included. Bus stops are located nearby, or for those who are renting a car there is free parking. The apartment is about 5 minutes' walk north of Holetown, a small but lively town on the main north-south road along the 'platinum' west coast. The Sandpiper and Discovery Bay Hotel are neighbouring hotels where you may use the pool and loungers for a fee. Holetown offers banking facilities, taxis, car rental, Internet cafe, Post Office, excellent supermarket, shops, bars and restaurants. Elegant dining, curry, pizza and fast food are all available. Sports fans gather to watch satellite tv at Surf Side, a nearby popular beach bar. Buses are frequent, so if you decide not to rent a car there is no problem in visiting Bridgetown, the bustling capital of the island. To the north of Art Studios and a short walk along the beach is Folkestone Marine Park, which features a museum/aquarium, tennis courts, picnic tables, children's playground and excellent snorkeling around the inshore reef. Sandy Lane and the Royal Westmoreland golf courses are located in the parish of St. James

  This was our 6th visit to Barbados and most probably the most enjoyable. The apartment has everything you could reasonably want and Dear audrey keeps it spotlessly clean and ship-shape. The grounds are a pleasure to sit out in and Harry is a positive mine of information when it comes to the local flora and fauna.. We really needed our 3 week holiday this year and art Studios provided a perfect stress-free environment. We thought we knew everything and everywhere by now, but this time we again found a new little gem in Fitts Village called Wendy's Snack Bar. It's off Highway 1 and is sign- posted. Don't be put of by the state of the approach road as the best Lunch and the warmest of welcomes awaits you from John Simpson and his Lovely Wife. If you want a quiet relaxing time then get yourselves down to # 5 art Studios, the only problem you will have is leaving there as after a week audrey and Harry will make you feel part of their respective families.
