Villa Melissa is a charming villa on the west coast of Barbados with great beach service which can be rented on a 3 ,4 or 5 bedroom basis. It is located in landscaped gardens with shallow pool. Its a classical house with all the modern conveniences with wifi throughout and a 40 inch flat in the main house. Bedrooms all have en suite bathrooms,are air-conditioned and rentals come with the services of a cook and maid.

Located on the west coast of Barbados in the parish of St James. Its a 2 min walk to the beach by private beach access. Its 1 mile north of Holetown which has great shops, restaurants and bars. Golf, tennis, water sports and many more activities are all close by.

This was our 3rd trip to Barbados. We had to stay at a new villa due to our large party this time. We took a chance on Villa Melissa and we were extremely pleased. Let me start by saying that the staff is what completes this villa. Victor the butler is a gem. He's there to please your needs but it's his amazing spirit that lures you in. We loved how he took the time to fix the table to perfection, flowers & fancy shapes out of the napkins and candles illuminated the area every night. He also sets up your chairs & umbrellas at the beach every day. Patricia the cook whips up anything you desire and she does it with a warm smile. She's an excellent cook. Michele the housekeeper keeps the place spotless and provides you with fresh linens and does your laundry every day! There are two houses on the property. One is the main house with 3 bedrooms/3 baths, living area and kitchen. The other is the cottage with 2 bedrooms (one has a huge sitting area)/2baths and a kitchen.. Both houses have outdoor sitting areas and the main house has a large table outside where we dined every day. The pool is not very large but definitely accommodated us. We loved the monkeys that were all around. They came right up to us when we gave them bananas! They don't come near you if you don't feed them so they are never a problem. The beach is a short walk and is absolutely beautiful. Any type of watersport is available. Highly recommend this villa!

Having rented a lovely villa in Barbados for the last 4 years, it was recently sold so we had to find a new villa. We found villa Melissa on the web and took a bit of a risk as we had not seen it before. On arrival, we were greeted by the most lovely staff, the Villa is beautiful and the position great. A short walk down a private road and you're on the beach near Coral Reef Club. You simply could not improve on the lovely Villa (other than the sunbeds which the owner is replacing), the staff are simply the best, helpful, enthusiastic and fun to be with. Maria is a great cook and Victor a lovely butler. (so different from the staff experiences we have had before) . We could not recommend this villa more highly, but don't try and book for the first two weeks of april, I've already booked it !! Enjoy. Marc

From the moment we arrived, the charming cook and Butler did everything they could to make us feel relaxed and welcome. Bags were taken to our rooms, banana bread and tea was served...
The way the week started was testament to how it continued, the villa itself is idyllic. Moments from the beach but nestled amongst secluded gardens, it is the perfect spot to chill by the pool in the day or enjoy a candle lit dinner outdoors at night.
The coral stone walls and spacious bedrooms provide a really light, bright and airy atmosphere in villa which was kept immaculate by the staff throughout our stay. We almost didn't want to go out elsewhere because it was so nice to hang out there!
Victor, the butler, was extremely helpful in assisting us with booking restaurants on the nights we ate out and the cook Maria made exquisite bajan curries, fresh fish and salads etc during our nights in.
For all our years of coming to Barbados, this was one of the best and most memorable. I would certainly recommend Villa Melissa and will be rushing back again soon!
