Located on the west coast of the Island 26km from the Airport.
Opposite Sugar Hill and overlooking Royal Westmoreland Golf Course.
This 2 bedroom 1 bathroom has a wrap around deck you just die for. I came across the villa on Flipkey & emailed for more information & visit whilst I was on the island on a previous holiday. Carol was quick to respond & helpful making the booking & arrangements trouble free.
We would endorse all the other reviews here about the accommodation & surroundings, we also opted for the villa & car package.
We had split our holiday having a few days on the South coast before Hummingbird, so had the lively before the peace and quiet of Hummingbird. Although there is company to be had if so wished & we had some great times with Dick, Carol & other guests. Meeting round the pools for drinks, with Carol & Dick putting on a lovely BBQ one evening and attending a local rum shop & Nicos restaurant for food & quiz night other nights, so there is as much or as little to do as you want.
We definitely hope to return in the future!! -

NWWonderful, just what we wanted

We stayed in Hummingbird for 10 nights from 22nd Feb. 2013.
Its a delightful villa, Carol and Dick have thought of everything you might need to make your stay a relaxing and memorable occasion.
We loved the covered decking, with its great furniture and gas bar b que, and the views are just brilliant, Hummingbirds and King birds are always around.The villa is set in about 6 acres with trees and shrubs all around. Pool is just yards away.
Beach towels and bath towels and all linen are provided and changed as often as you want.
The shower is one of the best we have ever had. The bed we used was very comfortable, the other bedroom has air conditioning.
I am sure we will return to see more of this lovely Island.
Carol, Dick, Lotte, Katie and Bustop are all great folk, they really make you very feel welcome, and are always on hand to help or give local info.
Hummingbird comes with a car and a mob. phone for local use.
Oh I wish I was back there!! -

we spent over 5 weeks in this perfect place: perfect for grandparents, daughter and 3 years old granddaughter! everything as described, nothing missed. the pool and the huge garden are more than perfect for children, the terrace perfect for meals and an evening Rum. the kitchen is fully equiped and the beds are in perfect condition.
thank you carol, dick and lottie for having us for over 5 weeks and giving us a second home at that time! -

This is our second visit to Barbados and Westerlee!Carol,Dick and Lottie were wonderful and nothing was ever too much trouble,whether it was clean towels or organising an evening out to a local beach barbeque.Hummingbird was clean,well equipped to meet all our needs and had a huge veranda which we used all the time for relaxing and meals.The pool was also well used!
Westerlee is conveniently located about a mile from Holetown with good shopping and beautiful beaches.
There were 4 adults and 2 children in our party and everyone had a fabulously relaxing time,the weather was also hot and sunny which helped!
Thank you for a memorable 2 weeks.

We rented the entire property for a week for a family reunion of 13 persons. Carol, her husband and daughter Lottie are very friendly and accomodating. Car rentals and everything we needed was provided and they were always availabe to assist. The property is ideal for large reunions or multiple family getaways since there are four cottages on the sprawling meadows. So families can all be together yet have their own private cottage as well. The area is very breezy and cool, lovely scenery, nice pool and bbq area, close to lots of restaurants, shopping and the best beaches. We were very satisfied with our choice of Westerlee for our family vacation. Definately planning on returning soon.

There are already a lot of reviews about the other houses and I can only agree to what has been written.
We stayed in Hummingbird house and although it is attached to Westerlee it is very private. The wrap around balcony with hammock is really woderful, spacy and excellent for the rainy days/hours. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need, the BBQ on the veranda makes it perfect.
The pool is great: you can really swim in it as it is large enough, it has a diving board and there is a fence around it, absolutely perfect for our 2 and 5 year old and us!!
The enormous hospitality of Dick, Carol and their daughter Lottie can hardly be described. If you need them, they are there. Otherwise you don't see much of them and you even have the feeling you live there alone. They helped us out so often, they are really exeptional hosts. Thank you! -

Have stayed here many times that is a recommendation in itself.Met my brother his wife and daughter from California and New York who like me loved it.It's like home from home, the house is light and airy tastefully furnished with a wonderful wrap around terrace with views of the golf coarse and coast. Very quite and peaceful with a large pool you could be the only one there. A barbecue area and one of Carol's rum punches and all your cares disappear.
