Description
Alamanda is an air-conditioned, 3 bedroom/2 bathroom, luxury holiday villa with private pool and deck with private gardens. The property is entered via secure electrically operated wrought iron gates, which provide secure parking. Located in Jamestown Park, Holetown, St James on the West Coast of Barbados. Guests have beach access to the side of Discovery Bay Hotel and the accommodation includes all utilities and friendly maid service three days per week.
With its large covered patio, private pool and deck area, Alamanda backs onto local playing fields and enjoys a continuous cooling breeze, which rolls down the hills from the nearby sugar plantations. A very good selection of restaurants to suit all tastes and budgets are located nearby.
Alamanda villa is tastefully furnished throughout. The bedrooms are air-conditioned and all rooms are fitted with ceiling fans. The spacious, light and airy open plan lounge/dining/kitchen area is equipped with 27inch TV, VCR, DVD player, CD/cassette/radio stereo system and 2 telephones (for accepting incoming calls and making outgoing local calls - which are free). Subscription to CBC Multichoice is included offering numerous channels including CNN, Discovery Channel, National Geographic, Cartoon Network, BBC, ESPN.
The fully equipped kitchen includes a dishwasher, large fridge-freezer, oven/hob, microwave, coffee maker and a blender.
The accommodation's living areas open out onto the large L-shaped, covered veranda complete with comfortable rattan sofa, chairs, coffee table, dining table and chairs and gas barbeque. The veranda opens onto a private pool with large deck area and 6 sun loungers overlooking the villa's beautiful tropical gardens which are attractively illuminated at night.
The master bedroom has a king size bed and an en suite bathroom. A hairdryer is also supplied for Alamanda's guests. The other two twin-bedded rooms share a bathroom. All bedrooms have electronic combination safes for secure storage of money, jewellery, cameras and other valuables.
Alamanda is located just across the road from Discovery Bay Hotel which is just 100 metres from the villa.
Many water sports including scuba diving and snorkelling are available locally.
The new Lime Grove Lifestyle Centre with its 85,000 square feet of luxury shopping and dining is within a few hundred metres of Jamestown Park and there are numerous bars, banks, a supermarket, post office, doctor's surgery and an air-conditioned shopping mall - with duty free shops - are all within a few minutes walk.
