Home is located on Lake Macatawa, less than 1 mile from Holland State Park and Lake Michigan. The charming city of Holland is about 10 minutes by car. Lake Macatawa flows into Lake Michigan so one may see everything from kayaks, pleasure boats, yachts and the occasional huge ore frieghter. Bike paths allow for easy walking or biking to Lake Michigan or the city of Holland. The area is very quiet with many large mature oak trees. Marinia 1/4 mile away. Restaurants and convenience stores less than 1 mile.

Left on 02/27/2013 for a stay in July 2012
Stayed with our grandkids from St Louis and had a wonderful time! The home was more than we could have asked for! Loved the mix of classic cottage and new additions with all the creature comforts. The highlight was watching fireworks over the bay in the front yard on night of the 4th. Also enjoyed the sandy beach and watching all the beautiful boats coming and going from the marina just around the corner. Kids could go out in the water more than a half mile before the water reached over head. Walks to Lake Michigan, up Mount Pisgah and ice cream at the general store were also rich memories. Ottawa Beach Inn offered great food and only a 5 minute walk from the cottage. Even though the week was very hot, the mature oak trees offered welcome shade on the deck all afternoon. The home drips with class and history - a place we hope to return to for many years to come.
