This semi detached, single storey barn conversion is located on the edge of the village of Hollington near Ashbourne and can sleep four people in two bedrooms. The Byre is a semi detached, single storey barn conversion cottage in open countryside on the edge of the village of Hollington, just six miles from Ashbourne. The cottage has two double bedrooms and a family bathroom which make it suitable for four people. The cottage also contains a fitted kitchen and a sitting room with a dining area. Winter Short Breaks (WSB) are available at many properties in the "Winter" period - subject to availability. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. Off Season Breaks (OSB) are available at many properties in parts of the "Low" and "Mid" periods - subject to availability. The price for a 3 night break is either 75% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. OSBs can be booked within a calendar month of the start date of the holiday. "Last Minute Breaks" (LMB) are available at most properties throughout the "LOW", "MID", "HIGH", "PEAK", "XMAS" and "NEW YEAR" periods. The price for a 3 night break is either 65% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. LMBs can be booked within one week of the start date of the holiday.

A true home from home. A wonderful welcome from the owners,coupled with quality accommodation made a brilliant week-long break. The cottage has been converted to a very high standard with everything you could need. Couldn't have asked for more. Thank you!

We had a lovely midweek break at 'The Byre' , beautiful cottage well furnished and decorated, well equipped, comfortable and peaceful. Great country pub in close proximity with open fire and reasonably priced food.

Within it's category this charming cottage offers outstanding value.It is situated on open farm land with stunning views of the countryside.The Cottage itself has been modernised and tastefully furnished throughout and has been thoughtfully equiped by the present owners.It's location is within easy driving distance to the multitude of historic houses within the Derby area including of course Chatsworth house and Calke abbey.There is also a very interesting Tram Museum..For simple Pub meals we liked the "Yew Tree Inn" and the" Ostrich".For the accasional treat also the "Saracens Head" but you may need to advance book as it is already highly regarded by our members.For self caterers stock up in asbourne as local shops are very few.A little care should be taken on the narrow country lanes lest you should encounter old Macdonald and his tractor or the odd stray Lamb! Overall we rate this very highly.
