This exotic apartment is a hideaway amid the action and fun of Hollywood. The lush back garden is a wonderful place to read a book while enjoying a refreshment – the warm Southern California sun streaking through the tall trees. Staying here is worth a trip to Hollywood all by itself, but with the attraction of all that LA has to offer virtually blocks away, the apartment is part of a truly special house. A 1920's cottage with windows everywhere that let in beautiful morning and evening light, staying here is a wonderful experience.

Hollywood Hills Tropical Paradise
Additional Location Information
This exotic apartment is on the same hill as the Hollywood sign, but far enough down the hill to be a stone’s throw from all the action. This is a one bedroom private guest apartment is in a 1920's house in Old Hollywood. Away from the madding crowd, but right in the center of Hollywood, you feel like you’re in the country, but you’re within walking distance of the Hollywood Boulevard Walk of Fame, the Hollywood Bowl, Grauman’s Chinese Theater, the Metro stop at the W, bars, restaurants, etc. etc. etc. Short drive from Universal, Sunset Strip, downtown, and just about anywhere else in Los Angeles you would like to visit.
The neighborhood is quiet, surrounded by trees, with birds chirping in the morning. It's like a nature reserve with squirrels, racoons, coyotes, birds, and deer. Still, it's walking distance from all the action.
If you have a car, there is plenty of easy on street parking. If you don't we are only a few minutes walk from the Metro at the W Hotel and bus routes. If you have a car but want to have fun at night without worrying about drinking, you can easily walk down to a myriad of nightspots. If you're too tired to walk home following a night of revelry, a taxi home is cheaper than parking lots.
A little history:
In the 1920’s the houses in this street and surrounding ones were filled with silent film actors and filmmakers. Entertainment industry people have continued to live around here to this day. When you visit I can certainly drop a few names for you should you be interested. The house was built in the 1920’s as a stilt house. In the 1940’s the owner enclosed the stilts and installed 3 apartments. I planted the tropical garden to reduce “post tropical letdown” when I returned from my frequent equatorial travels There is something magical about this place, and many who have lived here over the years remember it as one of the happiest times of their lives.
