The property is located blocks from everything you come to Hollywood for: restaurants, shopping, and star gazing. Hollywood is a great base for seeing all of Los Angeles. We really did like this place. When we first walked in we were kind of shocked by how small the place felt and how tight the sleeping areas were. It sleeps four adults who know each other well and two small children/people in the living room on a thin fold-out mattress. We requested an air mattress and did without a living room. The interior decoration was stylish and the house well equipped with towels, toilet paper, kitchen utensils, etc. There is a Trader Joe's in walking distance which is convenient, since parking can be an issue. Similarly, the neighborhood is centrally located which makes getting to the beach and other places in the city relatively easy for Los angeles. The patio provides a nice common area that one cannot find in a hotel, not even in an upscale casita. I would rent this place again with another couple and just explore Melrose avenue on foot for a long relaxing weekend.

My husband, daughter, and I met our son and his family for a weekend in Los angeles to celebrate an early Christmas in December 2010. I had never stayed in a Vrbo rental before but cannot say enough good things about our choice and it's owner. Scott was pleasant to work with and very accommodating. The house was charming as well as comfortable. Kitchen was well stocked with all the things we needed to cook, and there was a grocery store nearby. Both bedrooms had very comfortable bedding. There is only one bathroom, but it quite nice. The rear patio area was beautiful and perfect for an evening glass of wine under the outdoor lights hanging in the trees. In the daytime before leaving for our excursions to Hollywood, my granddaughter and I enjoyed playing games there. We were less than a 30-minute drive to the studio where "Let's Make a Deal" was filmed. I had gotten tickets for the show beforehand, and my daughter won $500 when Wayne Brady chose her to make a deal This Hollywood rental really sold me on using Vrbo instead of hotels whenever I can.
