Having just returned from staying at Footprints by the Beach for 11 days, I can say that I could not have a found a more perfect place to stay while being back in Hollywood for vacation and catching up with family and friends. Having lived one block over from Footprints by the Beach almost 15 years ago, it truly felt like home. Upon arrival, Craig's warm welcome makes you feel like you are returning to an old friend's home. The neighborhood is easy walking to the broadwalk and beach access is just feet away from the house. The house and grounds are absolutely beautiful. Rarely do you find a beach house in this area that has such a large and lush yard. Everything is of the utmost quality and very well maintained. Any amenity that you can think of has been covered, in my opinion. There are plenty of lounge chairs on the ground, chairs to take to the beach, croquet, and board games. When it got too hot one day to sit out in the sun, we enjoyed drinks and playing dominoes under the tiki hut. This is definitely a home that is great for relaxing and also entertaining. I had a barbecue for about 10 people and everything we needed was covered from the amazing grill, baskets for chips, plenty of cutlery and bowls for sides to the sound system outside. The bedrooms and beds are quite cozy and comfy. Those who stopped by could not stop raving about the place and nor can I. An amazing gem in Hollywood.

I stayed at Footprints by the Beach with my husband for 2 weeks in april. My son and his girlfriend joined us for one week. The kitchen is high quality with granite work tops and excellent equipment and everything you could possibly want. Beds are very comfortable with lots of bedding available and the rooms are spacious. The main bedroom has a huge walk in closet, a 2nd large TV and a Bose radio. The Living room had leather sofas and chairs and the garden was beautiful, well maintained and again had top quality, very comfortable furniture, including sun beds with deep cushions under a canopy, table and chairs (for 8 I think) and the best quality barbecue/grill I have ever seen. There is also speakers on the patio controlled from the TV. It is very close to the sea, which can be heard from the garden and which is just a few steps away. The whole place was spotlessly clean and comfortable and everything worked very well such as the air con, showers etc. There is a laundry room with a washer and dryer. Craig is a very welcoming, enthusiastic guy who is very keen that everybody has a good time. He showed us how everything worked and made sure we had his number. I think he lives a couple of miles away. The whole place exceeded my expectations and we will definitely be returning. Lying out in the garden on a warm day listening to chill out music is incredibly relaxing. The neighbourhood is very friendly and safe. We walked to Hollywood Broadwalk a couple of times along foot/cycle paths and hired bikes. In my opinion, a great find.

I am fortunate enough to be a local, and first found this rental when looking for a place for my family and I to have a reunion. (I have a large family and wanted something more comfortable than a hotel). Instead I ended up finding a permanent vacation spot. I recently stayed here for the second time (for a birthday weekend) and will undoubtedly be coming here for many years to come. Although I live here and come to the beach regularly, I still feel like I am on a vacation every time I stay here. The beach is literally steps away, so it's great to not have to bring all of the beach supplies you think you may or may not need. If you forget something, you just walk right back to the house! The outside area is perfect for doing a barbque and entertaining, and because the whole backyard has lighting, the good times can roll a long as they need to. This place is perfect for anyone. For families, couples, girl's nights, whatever the occasion, this house is a perfect fit. This place comes equipped with any appliance or amenity you may need. I recently had a dinner and cooked for about 10 people, and I literally was not missing a thing! This home is truly a home away from home. It has absolutely everything you need on your vacation, is absolutely stunning (the pictures do not do this place justice!), and the price can't be beat. Craig and Meredith: thank you so much for opening up your home to me and my guests. You are amazing hosts, and I am very much looking forward to my next visit. For anyone reading this: there's no need to look anywhere else. Believe me. This place is absolutely, hands down, as good as it gets!!

This was our fourth year at the beach house. These past four months have been another wonderful retreat from the Ohio winter. Craig and Meredith have always provided us with the warmest of welcomes, including fresh cut flowers and a bottle of wine. The beach house and yard were once again in perfect condition. Footprints has become our home away from home with all the first class comforts plus the beach. Last year I took up scuba diving so I especially appreciate this location. Ft Lauderdale diving is amazing. And the beach house location is so convenient for walking, cycling and running. It is a very safe stroll or ride down Surf Road and in only a mile, you are on the beautiful Hollywood broadwalk. We love our time at Footprints from beginning to end and look forward to returning for a short vacation in the summer and plan on escaping the Ohio winter again next year.

We go to the Hollywood/Dania Beach area every year to visit with family and friends. We always stay in a house by the beach b/c it provides much more convenience for our family of 5 than a hotel room. I can honestly say that this house was by far the best house of them all. The house itself is absolutely beautiful, immaculate, and very spacious. Everything is top of the line from the kitchen appliances to the beds, even the washer and dryer. We felt so incredibly comfortable and at home that 7 days was just not enough. You couldn't ask for a better yard with kids. We played football, badmitten, grilled out, hung under the tiki hut, and had morning coffee all outside! The location is outstanding. It is a stone's throw away from the beach...can't get much closer than that. Craig, thank you so much for offering an affordable, convenient, perfect place for our family. We will certainly be back.

After staying at Footprints by the Beach for a short girls weekend last year, I knew I had to come back for a longer stay with my family. We spent 9 totally relaxing days in august and the house with all its amenities, location right off the beach in a quiet peaceful neighborhood was perfect. We have 2 young children and this was really a perfect location - very close to the beach, with a public shower nearby and we felt like we had the beach to ourselves. The water was calm and perfect for the kids to play in. The house is gorgeous, well-decorated, comfortable and well taken care of. Craig was great in showing us around and available to help with anything we needed. The kitchen had everything we needed for the nights we wanted to cook and dine in. There were several places nearby that delivered too and we enjoyed the outdoor grill and outdoor eating area right off the kitchen, under a gazebo with festive lights. The backyard is surrounded by tall trees for plenty of privacy. There is a cute little deck off the comfy master bedroom. There is a large walk in closet and washer/dryer for convenience. Plenty of space for the 5 of us (3 adults and 2 kids). The location is convenient to shops, restaurants and the airport. We will definitely be back next year and have no hesitation in recommending Footprints by the Beach!

My family & I just returned from our stay at Footprints. We miss it already!! Craig at Footprints was wonderful!! He has thought of everything to make your stay as comfortable and easy as possible. First of all the house was amazing...super cute!! The beds were very comfortable with pillow top mattress & down comforters. Great patio off the master bedroom to enjoy your morning coffee or a glass of wine at night and listen to the waves. Huge walk-in California closets. Our stay included all the linens & bed were made when we arrived. Plush bath & beach towels. Craig even supplied us with paper towels, toliet paper, dish soap, laundary soap, softeners, dishwash soap, spices, coffee filters...you name it!!! Which is absolutley wonderful!!! I have rented homes for 15 years now so believe me when I say this is a awesome home!!
Had a great time even when Issac tried to rain on our parade. Once the rain cleared the kids 7,14,16 loved the ocean. Just a few steps and your in the sand. There is a nice shower at the end of the road to rinse off. The ocean was calm after the storm on a great sand bar so it was shallow. My 7 year old swam like a fish all day...everyday!!
We will miss game time under the tiki hut at night!! Wish I could bring it home with me. We had a great time & can't wait to visit again. With 10 years in the travel industry believe me when I say this is a good find!! You can't get any better then this. Great price, free parking, a whole house to yourself & the beach just steps away.
I will be recommending Footprints at the beach to all my friends & family!!

We have stayed in this beach house for three consecutive years and are looking forward to a fourth. We love the safe and friendly neighborhood. It is right next to a quiet beach area and yet only a mile walk (or run) to the Hollywood broad walk. Just 15 minutes from the Hollywood/Ft. Lauderdale airport. Close to shopping and restaurants. Meredith and Craig always make us feel like special guests. And we're already counting the weeks until we return to this little home away from home.
