Anna Maria is the perfect place for a relaxing vacation. This narrow island with its sugary white sand, does not have any high rises, in fact building codes prevent the construction of houses with more than 2 building storeys above a carport.
7 miles of white sand stretch on the west side of the island. That's the heart and soul of the island.
There are several restaurants and shops within walking distance. The island's biggest grocery store is also easily reached by foot. If you don't want to drive or walk, there is a free trolley driving up and down the island.
Sarasota is considered to be the 'cultural capital' of Florida with art galleries, theaters and an Opera House, and of course you have beach/sea activities, theme parks and shopping in the area.

Free transportation by bus to restaurants and back home. Fine pool when windy Gulf. Good parking. Wonderful furniture in home. No trafficsound inside. Very good ventilation inside. Wonderful wheather 3 weeks in november.

We really enjoyed this nice and very well kept condo!
It´s nicely decorated and furnished and has a great access to the beach.
It was great to come home to after a hot day
on the beach and it was fantastic for our teenagers to go between the sea and the pool. It´s close to the grocery and some other small shops and restaurants.
The roof terrace had a fantastic view and we enjoyed a perfect sunset although we could have used the terrace more, but for a week it´s difficult to have time for everything you want to see and enjoy.
It´s our second time on anna Maria Island and we really like this relaxed place and plan to come back in the future.
We have rented quite a few houses and condos but have never stayed in a cleaner or more perfectly kept place before!

We stayed in this condo for 8 weeks this winter. It is very spacious and is the best equipped condo we have ever rented. It felt as though the owners put a lot of thought into what they would want if they stayed there and then supplied it. The extras such as the ipod docker, coat rack and shoe rack were quite handy to have. The pool area has been completely redone and kept quite warm so we could enjoy the pool even on cooler days.and the beach is only about 1/2 block away. The condo is beautifully decorated and we were so comfortable in our "home away from home". We definitely plan to return next winter.

Mainefantastic beach vacation

We had a great stay at the tropical sunset condo in April. The condo is spacious and it really is as nice as the pictures! We enjoyed the warm heated pool and many dinners on the roof top deck watching the sun disappear into the Gulf of Mexico. The location really can't be beat. You are a short walk to the beach and just around the corner from stores and restaurants. The beach is one of the nicest beaches I have ever seen and I think that says lot because I am a beach girl. We had a fantastic vacation and I would highly recommend this rental.

My recent vacation to Anna Maria Island was absolutely fantastic. The condo was even better than advertised. Exceptionally clean, and perfectly accessorized, it contains everything you need to enjoy your vacation.
I was particularly impressed by the layout. The open living room, dining room and kitchen made it feel much larger than I expected. The entire family can be together without feeling cramped. You can be in the kitchen preparing meals and still be a part of family activities.
Another surpise was how spacious the two bedrooms and bathrooms are. There's plenty of room to spread out and get comfortable.
As for location, I couldn't have asked for better. Access to the beach is directly across the street, which makes it easy to bring chairs, umbrellas and kids to and from the beach. The road isn't a major thoroughfare, so traffic was never very heavy. Also, because it isn't a "public beach access", the only people using this section are other residents, so it wasn't crowded.
Another wonderful feature is the private pool, reserved for residents of this building. Since there are only 4 units, there is no risk of having a crowd. In fact, the week I was there, we were the only ones to use the pool.
Although it feels very secluded, shopping for everything you will need is within walking distance and there are lots of things to do in the area, especially for families.
I thoroughly enjoyed my week in Tropical Sunset #2 and on Anna Maria Island, and I will definitely plan to return again in the future.Response from Tomas and Marie Dahlgren - 04/26/2010

Marie and Tomas-- Speaking for my wife, daughter, son-in-law, my two grand-daughters and grandson, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at your condo on Anna Marie. The place was clean, very nicely decorated with a Florida flavor, and made our visit comfortable and added to the enjoyment of our trip from Kentucky. Your condo was charming. As my father used to say when someone showed him something he really liked: "There's only one thing wrong with it. It does not belong to me." I recommend your place highly to anyone from anywhere. It is in a great location, accessible to the beaches, the island, and Bradenton. Can't ask for much more than that.

Tolles Condo, gut ausgestattet, hilfreiche Letting Agentur, ruhige Lage, ein zu Hause weg von zu Hause im July 2009.
Der wunderschoene, sandige Strand nur ca 30m ueber eine wenig befahrene Strasse an der das Condo liegt. Der Pool ist gut in Stand gehalten und fuer Gaeste jederzeit zu benutzen.
Wir ware Turtle watching, sahen Delphine vom Strand, viele Voegel, Schmetterlinge... Es ist nicht weit bis nach Tampa und Bush Gardens (ca 1Std)
Meine Familie hatte eine fantastische Woche in diesem Condo

Thank you for a wonderful week in your superduper nice apartment! We had such a great time!
We were 4 adults and 2 kids and there were lots of space for all of us. My sister slept in the nice new bed sofa.
My Mom is totally in love with your condo and won't stop talking about it!
The mornings were wonderful - we walked or ran on the beach. Our absolute favourite restaurant was the Sandbar. We went there several times. What a location!
Thanks once more and we really hope to come back and rent your condo again!
