This unit was very clean and spacious! Great balcony and great bbq area. Be aware this unit does not have access to a pool! It looks like it does but we were kicked out of the pool because it did not correspond to our unit.

6 adults and our 8 month old baby stayed for 6 nights very comfortably and the beach is right across the road. The only bad thing that happened was the first night there was a group that rented the upstairs and took up the entire parking lot. Not that big of deal besides of trying to carry in all our luggage groceries and everything else out of the car and carrying it across the busy road. The rest of the week nobody was upstairs and we had a perfect vacation.

Almost perfect

We enjoyed our stay in Holmes Beach on anna Maria Island. Unit 8 at the Castnetter Resort was nearly perfect for its cleanliness, spaciousness, and modern amenities. The location while convenient to the beach and shops was less than ideal because of traffic. Leaving the resort by car often took additional time waiting for cars to pass in order to enter the road. Resort pictures and description show a nice pool, however, a 'family dispute' resulting in the construction of a fence, did not allow guest access. This information should have been disclosed.

We had a wonderful time staying at the rental. The location was perfect with the beach being directly across the street. We enjoyed the heated pool too. The place was set up perfect. We would have loved 3 queen beds as we were 3 couples but the 2 twin beds is set up great for a family.

35 friends and family took over 7 units at the Castnetters for 4th of July weekend. Age range from 3 to 90.
Our booking arrangements were made through Island Vacation Properties. They were great folks to work with every step of the way, from letting us visit the property and see some of the units prior to making the reservation, to working with the owners to allow us to check in early on Friday and stay later on Monday. I highly recommend using IVP.
The location of Castnetters is great. It's right across the street (busy street on a curve) from the Manatee Public Beach. Just a quick walk across the street and through the parking lot and there you are. The beach area is great. There is a small playground for the little ones, volleyball courts, a great beach cafe for breakfast/lunch/dinner and the beautiful beach.
The resort layout was perfect for us. All of the units are located around a central lawn and pool/deck. The pool was approx 15/30 with plenty of lounge chairs and pool toys. The surrounding wood deck has a weber gas grill and several benches and tables with unbrellas. It was the perfect spot for us to have dinner each night and party until the "wee hours" (when it didn't rain). We had a 3 bedroom unit that was beautiful, with a big great room and updated kitchen. Large flat screen tv, two couches, two recliners, large dining table, kitchen bar/stools. A balcony across the front that was perfect for catching beads as the 4th of July parade passed right by. The kitchen had everything we needed for cooking for this large group. Three comfortable bedrooms (2 queens, two twins). Two nice full baths and a laundry room with washer/dryer. Couldn't ask for anything more. . The other units varied between one and two bedrooms, some villa style and some upstairs. All were clean and very comfortable.
I highly recommend this small resort if you are looking for a large family get together or just a quiet getaway.

Had a wonderful visit. This condo is beautiful inside. Very updated. Wonderful to have washer/dryer in unit. Only drawback is street noise - not much you can do about that. Great to be right across street from beach. Beautiful pool right at doorstep. Unit has everything you need in it.

This is a very nice and comfortable place. Very spacious. The description of being across the road from beach is true, but a very long way across. If you are looking for good water pressure in the showers this is not the place. The outside shower has more pressure than the bathrooms (veery nice. The pool is nice but too hot to be heated in July.

Our condo was tremendous! Plenty of room for 4 teenage girls and us!! We had our own BR/BA, and the other two BR's and bath worked out very well. Right across from the public beach and a wonderful pool area as well. This is our second time staying here, different condo before, but extremely happy both times. Building management very accomodating and friendly as well! Don't hesitate with this property! Veronica G

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Castnetter facility. The unit was very roomy and was completely updated with paint an appliances. It's very close to our favorite beach on the Island (Manatee Beach). Nice Weber grill. The pool was immaculate and warm for the time of the year. The owner was working at the resort and I had a chat with him. Sounds like he takes great pride in his facilities and wished us a pleasant stay. We will rent from this resort again.

We really enjoyed this setting. The house was wonderfully redone and very spacious. Pool was excellent for the children, kept at a nice warm temperature. We stayed for a week but it went by so quickly. Excellent location, road was busy but did not hinder from relaxing. Just a walk across the road to the beach (cars will stop for you). House is about the closest property you can get to just coming across Manatee Av. onto the island. We are looking at come back again if we can.
