The home sits secluded by tropical foliage on a large corner lot with no immediate neighbors. It's less than a 3 minute bike ride (we timed it!) to the Gulf of Mexico beach. There is also a public boat ramp just around the corner (but fishing is as close as the large canal across the street).
Restaurants and shops are all within minutes by bike, car or the free island trolley. One week minimum rental.

To offer this 2,600 sq ft home as a turn-key rental we charge a $200 cleaning and resupply fee. We maintain the home in *immaculate* condition. What can I say that you cannot read elsewhere? For it is all true. Jings. Well I can say " whit a braw wee gaff ye hiv here kent. Yer wee bothy is a belter. The scullery is big , with plenty bunkers and useful bits and pieces in the cupboards. The tv is fandabbydozy, and the hoose in general is a stoatir. The puddle oot the back is the berries, and 5 eejits and the Bairn really enjoyed it here. Help ma boab, even the natives are friendly. Kent and pa ( the gaffer for sure) , really make you welcome . Anna Maria is a special island and this is a special place to bide." This review will probably not help any as it basically says the same as everyone else does...it is a lovely home to have for a holiday.recommended.

We stayed in the Clark House in March for a week, while visiting our aunt that winters
in Bradenton, nearby. We had an excellent vacation. Yes, the weather was poor that
week but we did not notice much. We came to visit ! Kent and Pa could not have a
nicer vacation rental. The house was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Kent
was always communicating with me and made us feel welcome, while we booked
and planned our trip. The house is large and cozy with a huge screen TV that our
husbands just loved. We enjoyed the pool and warm jacuzzi. The kitchen and dinning
room were perfect for a family dinner party and BBQ. We very much appreciated the
bicycles and coolers left in the garage for our use. We'll be back soon ! Thank you !! -

From the start of booking our 40 Wedding anniversary holiday Kent was most helpful, ensuring that we had everything we could possibly need. We were met at our accommodation and given a guided tour. There were telephone numbers to contact Kent and Pa if needed plus emergency services, time table for the free island bus trolley.
Having stayed with Kent and Pa before we had an idea of what to expect but the house surpassed our expectations. The photos on the web site don't do it justice. The house is furnished and decorated in Pa's individual style: you won't find anything like it in any other accommodation.
The pool is to dream for with its lush gardens and screened off to help keep out the beasties. There is a fantastic music system which can be switched to the pool side speakers. More than this, it was set with 60's and 70's music - just our thing. The garage is well equipped with everything that a family may need for a day at the beach, playing in the pool or cycling around the island.
Anna Maria has numerous eating out places but we preferred to stay at home and use the BBQ - the food is so cheap and there is a wide range to choose from; love the Key Lime pie and the rib eye steaks. The kitchen is well stocked so it pays to check the cupboards before buying condiments etc.
With a husband who loves to fish, Anna Maria is ideal, and for those who love the beach, well there are plenty to choose from - we preferred the Bay of Mexico side.
There is nothing that we didn't like about either the house or the island, in fact most of the time I just enjoyed chilling out around the pool or the beach with my sister in law while husband and brother went off fishing. Such a peaceful holiday. Kent and Pa are the ideal thoughtful holiday hosts. We will go back again. -

We rented Kent & Pa's home as part of a vacation celebrating our Ruby Wedding anniversary. We wanted something extra special for the occasion and this home certainly lived up to our expectations.
The tropical pool area with spa affords great privacy and tranquillity and we enjoyed many meals outside.
We also made use of the front porch for breakfast to watch the rising sun which was a nice way to start another day in paradise!
The home is kept immaculately clean and extremely well equipped with everything you could possibly need including some nice quality beach equipment. Tasteful furnishings and décor made for a very comfortable stay and we were very reluctant to leave this island gem. Kent and Pa were wonderfully accommodating hosts from my initial email enquiry to waving us goodbye at checkout! This spacious home in a quiet residential neighborhood has multiple gathering areas inside and out...the lanai is like a little tropical paradise where you are surrounded by palms and plants galore. Immaculately clean on our arrival.We all loved the private pool. Kent & Pa arranged for a pack & play and high chair free of charge. This was the best equipped kitchen I have ever seen in a rental(condiments, spices,cookware,nice mugs, 2 sinks), and we travel a lot. The men loved watching sports on the largest flat screen tv I have ever seen. Furniture comfortable. The beach is a 7 minute walk away. Even the Pine street shops are an easy walk, and the free trolley runs all day. Favorite : cocktails at The Sandbar, dinner at Eat Here, floating in the pool. Liked least: queen beds and we are used to king.

We didn't want to leave the comfortable, pleasant home we rented from Kent and Pa. The place was spotlessly clean, the beds super-comfortable, the pool and hot tub so much fun to be in. We brought our 3 teenage sons (age 13-19) and they all loved this spot, too--especially the giant screen TV in the living room and the extra bikes Kent provided. Kent and Pa are helpful and responsive if you need advice about places to eat, best beaches etc. Anna Maria is a great island--we hope to be back someday!

We stayed at this beautiful villa for the New Year 2012/2013 and are happy to say that we would highly recommend both the villa and anna Maria Island itself. My fiancé and I were with my parents and all four of us had a fabulous time. The villa is beautiful and really spacious - it's also very well stocked (with towels, bedding etc.) and the pool is amazing. There is plenty to do on the island itself and the nearby mainland. There are some lovely restaurants nearby as well - something for everyone! Pa and Kent were fantastic hots and provided us with lots of useful information. We even managed to fit in day trip to the Everglades which was well worth it! We hope a return visit won't be too far in the future.

We just spent a lovely week on anna Maria Island at Kent's and Pa's beautiful home. Our family of six adults found the home to be very user friendly and immediately comfortable. It is beautifully appointed with asian-influenced art and the décor is tasteful and stylish. We all enjoyed the heated pool and Jacuzzi (including the slide)! The property is very well cared for and Kent and Pa are close by and very helpful should there be any questions or concerns. We appreciated their recommendations for restaurants and activities on the Island. We took advantage of the bicycles and all enjoyed touring the Island in this way. We also utilized the trolley, which is great (and free!). We found the Island very accessible and easy to navigate.
It was nice to arrive at the property after a long drive (from Minnesota) and feel completely comfortable right away. We were fortunate to have excellent weather for the first four days of our week-long stay, which was unseasonably warm for January. All in all, we had a great vacation on anna Maria Island and would definitely recommend Kent's and Pa's house to other families.

This house in anna Maria Island is just wonderful. We had an amazing stay! It's fully equipped with all your needs. The floor plan is very spacious so that every guest has privacy, very clean, tastefully decorated, great location clise to the beach and we are so happy we found this home for our week of vacation. My family that includes my husband, son and two daughters, and my mother in law all had a great time relaxing at the heated pool and spa in the atrium, and BBQ was so convenient. The owners even have beach chairs, bikes, coolers at the house available for the beach and so much more. I can't wait to return!

We rented this property for a week in September. We knew that it was going to be wonderful based on the past reviews! But words can't even begin to describe how amazing this place is! We were only a few blocks from the beautiful beaches. But you could make an entire vacation out of just staying at this house. The pool and hot tub are amazing with satellite radio speaker to the pool area. The entire back of the house opens up to the pool area!! The owners Kent and Pa are so nice and helpful. Just give them a call and they will tell you anything you want to know about the island. The local restaurants are incredible!! Did not have any bad meals or service at all on this island! The pool area is very private! They also have a garage to put your car in. The home is much more spacious than expected and beautifully decorated! Pa keeps this house immaculately clean!! All in all, this is by far the best place that I have ever stayed in Florida!!! We will definitely be back soon!!!

What a wonderful but too short vacation we had on anna Maria Island. We found the house without any problems and Kent met us in the driveway. Like many say, the house was better than the pictures convey. It was so spacious and was perfectly set up for our family. We received a full orientation to everything in the house and always knew that Kent and Pa were a quick phone call away if we needed anything. They set out the pool toys right away knowing our kids would be jumping in quickly and even found an additional bike for our son.
We ate at many local restaurants. Our favorites were The Sandbar, Oma's Pizza, La Creperie, and Two Scoops. We also enjoyed Capt Kathe's boat tour with her daughter Capt. Katie and did the family fun fishing with Capt. Randy through Lil'Toot Charters- highly recommend this one. Our kids absolutely loved the fishing and next time we go back, we'll definitely stay out longer.
Overall this was a fantastic vacation. Do not hesitate at all renting from the Davis' at this home. We can't wait to return!

We stayed at this lovely home during Hurricane/Tropical Storm Isaac! What a blast we had! Not a worry in the world. The house was immaculate- every detail covered. Not a want or need in the world. Except- a hand held vacuum to clean out the car from the beach goings... Kent and Pa took care to order one up before we left the island! The home was so comfortable, it felt like home... Kent and Pa are gracious hosts who really do everything they can to make your stay an enjoyable one. I felt like I've known them all my life. They are wonderful happy people who created a beautiful vacation getaway. Really everyone- just bring your clothes and swim suits... no need to bring anything else. The house had a pretty full pantry and some welcome drinks too! We can not talk enough about this house- its perfect and the pool alone will knock your socks off. We can't wait to come back!

Kent and Pa are fantastic in every way...they made themselves available with directions to the home when we misplaced our directions during our travels. They are welcoming and thoughtful, giving attention to every detail.
The home has a great layout with two rooms on one side of the house and a master with its own bathroom on the other side of the house. It's perfect for families like ours that need a little room to spread out. It has everything you need for a great stay, from kitchen gear to beach gear the house is well equipped. The location is great, close to the beach, grocery and plenty of restaurants. We all loved the pool, it is certainly a great feature. It is a lovely place to lounge in the afternoon after a morning trip to the beach.
A big thank you to Kent and Pa for a memorable stay, we will certainly be back.

When you drive up to this home you " think ordinary three bed room house", until you get inside. Kent and Pa Davis have every thing ready for a true Florida vacation. Do not bring anything with you but your clothes and toiletrys. We had every thing at our disposal from bikes to beach toys. All three bed rooms were very, very comfortable. There were six of us so we prepared most of our meals in the modern kitchen. I am a semi-self -proclaimed -gourmet foodie and the gas gril and kiechen were well appointed and clean! The black marble table in the dinning room was as large as a river barge and ten corse meals were easy to plate. The 70" TV in the leaving room was another nice and welcome treat as well as a TV in each bed room. For the Book bug the in house libary and reading room were a welcome addition to the list of outstanding features of this vacation rental. What can I say about the pool that you havent alrady seen in the tripladvisor photos. It is better then the photos Speified! I told our host Kent and Pa if you want to ever sale the home call me I will buy it.

I have been an annual visitor to anna Maria Island since 2005. For years, I planned to celebrate my 50th birthday with my best girly girl friends. Having been to aMI before, I had a clear vision of the type of rental I wanted.
First, it had to be clean and had to comfortably accommodate up to 6 adult women. Second, it needed to be close to the beach and it needed to have a pool and spa. Lastly, it needed to have all of the amenities (beach gear, kitchen appliances, etc.) to have a beachy pool party atmosphere. I wasn't disappointed and am so thankful to have found Kent and Pa's place!
When we arrived, Kent and Pa were there to greet us. Kent gave us a tour of the house and the first thing I noticed was how clean it was. We were impressed with their attention to detail. The kitchen was stocked with every appliance, utensil, dishware, silverware, pots and pans needed to feed six adults and then some. The satellite radio system worked inside as well as outside in the pool area. We used the bar area to mix just about every kind of drink imaginable. The family/TV room was comfortable and I could easily configure the system to use my Netflix account. The dining room was large enough to seat all of us. The bedrooms and bathrooms were immaculate.
We spent a lot of our time swimming in the lagoon pool and spa and flirted with Pra apaimanee, or "Thai Guy” as we affectionately called him. When we weren't in the pool, we were at the beach, which was a short walk. The garage has all of the beach gear you need to have a great time and the garage parking was definitely a plus.
My girlfriends said that they had one of the best if not the best week of their lives! We definitely have Girlfriend Getaway memories that will last a lifetime. If you're looking for a place to have a great Girlfriend Getaway, I encourage you to consider Kent & Pa's place. In fact, I've already reserved it for next year! -

We normally travel out of the country for a beautiful beach and laid back atmosphere- so I have to admit we were nervous to try some place new. All the reviews were great though- so we gave it a try.
Everything is just as you read in the reviews. Clean, private, beautiful pool, plenty of cooking supplies, and Kent and Pa are gracious hosts.
The house has a fantastic set up for families. We stayed with my 4 year old daughter on one side of the house and we gave my parents the master suite on the other side. We had the living room and kitchen between us and it worked out great.
Loved all the beach supplies, beach towels, clean garage and great advice for the best places to eat.
Hoping we can make it back...soon!
ps: Pa provides the most gorgeous orchids all over the house which just made everything that much better! Also- if you have kids or love the ocean you have to take a tour with Captain Kim- Kent will give you her info! -

This place is beautiful for starters. Kent was there to greet us and tell us about the island, including him and Pa's favorite beach spots and restaurants. Very, very accommodating couple to rent from.
The pool and hot tub are totally secluded and private. Me and my wife loved it! We even tried out the slide a few times (which was awesome!).
One thing that my wife and I really enjoyed was being able to listen to their XM/Sirius radio outside while in the hot tub. They had a nice sound system that could alternate between playing in the house or playing outside.
We were pleasantly surprised to find that Pa and Kent also had a media streaming device. So I quickly linked my Hulu Plus and Netflix account up to it so we could watch/stream movies in front of their huge tv. :) (the free internet was a big plus for us)
It was really nice to have complementary coolers, chairs, and beach umbrellas to use. Me and my wife did sooo much reading and drinking on the beach :)
There was nothing wrong with this place at all...I mean, it was perfect, and it made for a perfect honey moon for us.
Bottom line: We will be coming back! -

Kent and Pa were so nice to rent us their beautiful place. They made sure that we felt very welcome and were nice to explain different places to see and great places to eat. The house was so neat and clean and just as it was pictured on the web site. We truly enjoyed our stay and would love to return again. We had a few teens with us and they had so much fun taking the trolley to mini golf and to the beaches. We felt good about letting them go on their own. There was not one bit of disappointment on this trip. If you want privacy and true relaxation this is truly the place to be, you can't go wrong. Kent and Pa thanks for the wonderful stay. What made this rental special was that the owners lived right next door. They could not have made our stay there more welcoming. They were generous with their time and any enquiry or request was dealt with immediately, unlike one or two of the rented properties we stayed in, where the owners lived in the U.K or further afield.
The interior of the property is traditional rather than contemporary in design, but very comfortable, with plenty of space. The attention to all the small considerations like not skimping on kitchen equipment etc. was very much appreciated. The pool and the garden were for our stay the icing on the cake.
Anna Marie Island is just lovely, very unspoilt. The whole experience comes highly recommended. -

We had a perfect vacation at Kent and Pa's beautiful home on the Island.Kent and Pa were wonderful. They made sure you had everything you needed and made you feel comfortable the at home right away . The home was as described. It was very clean, decorated beautifully and comfortable. The pool and hottub were also very private and surrounded by lush green tropical plants.The home was stocked with every amnenity.The island had many things to do if you chose to stay busy or a quick drive off the island took us to the fabulous Ringling Museum. And be sure to not miss the Seahagg. This was a wonderful vacation.Thank you Kent and Pa. We look forward to to our next visit to your beautiful island home.

I am so glad I booked this trip for 10 days. I went by myself for part of the time and a friend joined me who needed a decompression vacation too. I checked many places online all through Florida & decided on this one & so glad I did. It was a wonderful vacation, best ever. There are plenty of all different kinds of great books. The bikes are great especially with the beach cart that fits all the chairs & beach stuff that are available for you. You really don't need to rent a car with the bikes & free trolley system. Kent was so accomidating he even took me to Publix to stock up on my first day down since I did not rent a car. The house is stocked with a lot of spices & things you won't have to buy. All the appliances are top rate. The place is so immaculate too. I love the beach & my original plan was to beach it everyday all day , but the house was so peacfull & beautiful, the hot tub & pool so delightful we would be at the beach 1-2 hours & both of us wanted to go back to the house and lounge by the pool & float with all the pool toys available. It is gorgeously planted truly your own paradise. The owners Kent & Pa are the best. The beds are so comfortable.I loved the asian decor. I didn't want to leave. I would recomend this place over a top resort & I have been to them. It is like your own private resort. I can't wait to go back next year.

House was everything advertised and more. Neat, clean and furnished with everything you could need. Pool area was private and beautiful and was a great place to relax in the morning and at the end of the day. Satellite radio with indoor and outdoor speakers was a definite plus. We will go back.

We booked this beautiful Island home for 1 month as we were getting married and spending our honeymoon in anna Maria Island and wanted a private place to stay. Having visited anna Maria before we knew what to expect of the Island - laid back Floridian charm, the most beautiful beaches, fabulous restaurants and very hospitable Islanders - and not forgetting great Margaritas! Having already seen photos of the house we knew what to expect but the reality far exceeded our expectations. The house is beautifully and comfortably furnished with a fantastic screened pool and Jacuzzi and everything immaculately clean. We didn't want for anything our whole stay - bikes, fishing rods, coolers, maps of the area, cocktail shaker, - you name it this home provides it! Kent and Pa are such a friendly, welcoming and accomodating couple - nothing was too much trouble for them. They even arranged for English football to be added to the cable package so that we could watch an important match during our stay. The house is great for entertaining and although only the two of us stayed in the house, we had a pre-wedding party of 24 people and it didn't feel crowded at all. The pool and garden area is totally private which was also perfect for us honeymooners! We truly felt like we were at home during our stay rather than in a holiday rental and we would definitely stay in this home again when we next visit anna Maria Island. If you are looking for luxury, comfort, space and privacy and only a short walk to the fabulous beach, and with wonderful hosts - this home definitely has it all!

We set off to aMI having spent time in Orlando for a much needed rest. We found the villa easily and Kent and Pa were there and greeted us as if we had known them for years. Kent gave us a tour around the house and it soon came apparent that the photos did not do the house justice. Beautiful, classy with a lovely warm feeling to it, as if we were walking around a family home and not a rental. Kent then showed us the best places to eat and other useful island facts which we found invaluable during our stay. Kent had already shown us the items in the fridge and the cupboards which meant that the normal trip to the local supermarket to get the essentials was not needed - so thoughtful. Throughout our stay the house was our haven. To return to such comfort and swim in the spectacular pool was a real luxury. Our two teenagers only took breaks from the pool when Facebook beckoned! We all made use of the free trolley bus (stop just down the road) and the beach gear and bikes in the garage. We were originally going to book these in advance, but there was no need. These touches make this property so unique and shows the time and effort Kent and Pa have taken to ensure their guests have a special vacation.
What can I say about the island which hasn't already been said? It really is a stunning place. The beaches are beautiful and tranquil, bursting with wildlife. But what I think makes the island so unique is the hospitality and friendliness of the islanders. Perhaps they know that they are the lucky ones who get to wake up there every morning.
We have so many happy memories from this vacation, but the highlights are; Kent and Pa's beautiful home which we had the privilege of staying in, the amazing sunsets and beaches, chatting to all the lovely people, the fantastic restaurants and not forgetting the special people who made all this happen for us ... Kent and Pa. Thank you so much. Will we be going back... what do you think? (if they will have us of course!) -

Kent & Pa were so kind!
You could really feel that they always wanted to keep the visitors happy. They gave us great tips where to eat and what to do. That was very helpful.
So if you have any questions just ask them. I'm sure you'll find the answer you were looking for.
The house was huge and beautiful. We enjoyed the pool and the BBQ grill.
Anna Maria Island is a great place to visit when you want to relax and get away from home.
If you go with Kent & Pa you can't go wrong!
We miss the big house already.

As two single woman, traveling to anna Maria Island for the first time we were not sure what to expect, but the location, home, and the owners more than exceeded our expectations. We cannot wait to return...The outdoor living space was an extremely private setting and drained the years stress upon first glance. Spacious, serene, and entertaining are just a few words to describe the experience...I'm ready to join Kent & Pa on the island once again as soon as feasibly possible

It's very hard to come up with anything that has not been said already. Kudos to Kent & Pa who are truly excellent hosts! They are right next door in case you need anything, but they leave you to yourselves. We arrived early and called to touch base. Even though they were still cleaning they allowed us to come by and drop off our luggage before we went to explore the island. He gave us a tour and pointed out the highlights on a map with several excellent insider tips (like the best beach access and good eating spots). The house was even better than described and portrayed in pictures. It was very clean and well stocked. You can tell they put a great deal into trying to think of everything one would want while on vacation. They went out of their way to make sure the house feels like a home instead of just a bare bones vacation rental. The beds were very comfortable. We enjoyed the satellite radio (with speakers out by the pool), the big screen t.v., as well as the books/games that were on hand. We Bbq'd several times. It was a very comfortable place to hang out and relax after a day at the beach. The kids practically lived in the pool. I would definitely recommend this house to anyone who wants a lovely vacation on anna Maria Island!
P.S. Try the all you can eat fish at Rotten Ralph's on the Bradenton Beach pier. It is greasy but very good! We had it 2 different days. Also, Oma has very good pizza and delivers to the house. -

Made reservations through Island Vacation Prop. and when we got to the house we had a welcome note from Kent and Pa with complimentary items in the fridge. The home was very spacious, had more than enough linen and towels; the house was well equipped with appliances which all worked 100 percent; phone, tv, and internet service was like being at home. The pool was super!!! Oh! the entire layout was so relaxing and peaceful!!. That was our best of the best. We were very close the the piers for fishing which we did enjoy. The shoppes and restaurants are close by like Publix etc. Pine Street is not to far away where we visited the anna Maria Museum, quite an interesting place for great history!! This was really our home away from home. We had a wonderful vacation 2011. Thanks Kent and Pa all the best to you.

We just returned from a fabulous honeymoon in this lovely house on anna Maria Island. Kent and Pa were the perfect hosts-there when you needed them, friendly, and very welcoming. The home was in immaculate condition and suited to fit all needs and extremely stocked. House is extremely comfortable with a great private pool and slide which were extremely fun for all and the hot tub is a great way to relax in a romantic setting.
We arrived at Sarasota airport and took a taxi to the island for $50 one way saving us lots money and hassle of renting a car. We didn't need a car on the island as the trolley service is superb, frequent and free, and the bikes provided are another great way to get around and see everything on the island.
The island has something for everyone, for romantic moments you get great dinners while watching sunsets on the beach, have breakfast on a historic pier watching the wildlife and fisherman(or you can be the fisherman). Fantastic soft sand beaches with clear waters. All the facilities such as collers, chairs beach towels and floating fun toys are all provided in the house saving lots of hassle and money. We made great use of these.
Everything about the home and the island exceeded our expectations for our honeymoon and would highly recommend both to anyone. The Honeymooners -

Very difficult to add anything different to the other reviews as we agree with everything house immaculate, Kent & Pa show round and info makes settling in so easy.
Smooth process from initial contact and our queries, to arranging anniversary flowers.
This island/house suited us very well as we like to do as little as possible on holiday, and we picked aMI as we have been to the Sarasota area before and previously visited the tourist hot spots.
We spent the majority of our time round the pool, we loved the pool, to get in initially it was cold (our choice not to have it heated) but that was because the outside temperature was starting to get near the 90s, after 5 mins in the pool water was lovely, used the pool at least three times a day.
We are not into lying on the beach but we appreciated the beauty of the aMI beach, most mornings we walked to the beach, once at the beach we either walked north (Sandbar restaurant area approx 30mins) or south (Holmes beach cafe approx 40mins) and returned by the free trolley.
Good choice of restaurants although we only sampled a few as the house has an excellent kitchen and the local Publix store meets all your possible needs.
Would we come back to anna Maria Island yes

We just returned from a fabulous vacation in this lovely island home. Kent and Pa were the perfect hosts--there when you needed them, friendly, and very welcoming. The home is in immaculate condition, is very well appointed, and makes you feel right at home. Our two daughters ages 9 and 12 were entertained by the beautiful garden "lagoon" pool with outdoor/ indoor Sirius sound system. Everything about the home exceeded our expectations. The island is laid back and family oriented but not at all a tourist trap. We are already talking about when we might return to anna Maria island and this incredible island home!

There really aren't enough adjectives to describe this wonderful property and hosts. We celebrated our 30th anniversary here and couldn't have given ourselves a better present! Kent & Pa are such delightful and gracious hosts. They even had flowers for us when we arrived! The house is beautifully decorated and so spacious. We enjoyed so much the fantastic, completely secluded tropical pool and landscaping. The home is completely furnished with everything you need for a beach vacation, including chairs, umbrella, coolers, bikes, toys and games. The beach is about a 10 minute walk from the house, but we drove because the parking was so easy. Located in a quiet residential area, the home is close to everything on the island. One morning we rode the bikes around the north end of the island, an easy ride. Kent gave us great suggestions for restaurants and we enjoyed each one. One of our favorites was the homecooked meal from the General Store - so nicde to enjoy it at the pool while listening to music from the great sound system. My husband commented one night that this was one of the most relaxing vacations we've ever had! The kitchen is well stocked with many items and snacks, so be sure to check before making a stop at the grocery. Kent & Pa are right next door if you need them, but completely respect your privacy and want you to consider the property your "home" during your stay. we had sand bar shelling & fishing trips scheduled before we left Colorado..the home is spacious,clean & comfortable..

the tropical pool & attached jacuzzi was the place to be when not on the beach..
The encounter with the manatees, dolphins & turtles were just a bonus..the biggest suprise was the down home kindness we recieved from the locals thruout the north end...we will be back..

I'll add one more review to confirm what everyone else has said- the house was super clean, stocked with everything you need, the pool/hot tub were fabulous, and Kent & Pa were great hosts! After a bad experience with a large rental company in Florida we were happy to work directly with the owner who was very accommodating with our last minute trip. We planned on spending all our time at the beach, but ended up spending a lot of time at the house in the pool, which was very shaded/private and screened in. Also, even though we were there the end of april, it was still cool enough at night to enjoy the hot tub with a margarita after grilling out by the pool- Perfect!
As for anna Maria, the beaches are beautiful and the gulf water was amazing. We have stayed in the St. Pete area before and the island was much more our style- less busy, laid-back, but still had everything we needed. We definitely hope to be back! Thanks Kent & Pa! -

Fabulous and spacious home near beach & restaurants, yet secluded in a quiet neighborhood. So many amenities: fully stocked kitchen, super comfortable beds with the softest sheets I've ever experienced, several lounging areas indoors and out, upgraded sound sytem with Sirius radio played inside or pool side, artistic decor with asian artifacts, Tiffany lamps, large, granite, dining table, indoor tropical plants, and much more. Every room, inside and out, is designed for comfort and relaxation. Our Island favories include: Best Fine Dining - eat here (that's the name of the restaurant - really !)
Best beachside restaurant - The Sandbar, Best burgers - Skinny's (order out and take it to the nearby beach for the best sunset views. (picnic tables available), Best drinks on the lanai - Martiniville, Best shopping for souvenirs - Island Market Plaza with many stores & talking parrots, Best off Island experience - Ybors City near downtown Tampa is an old Cuban village. Don't miss the Columbian Restaurant, built in 1906. They have the best food and gift shop. It's best to go during the day. That area is a little rough at night. Best Boatride - Captain Kim's. She taught us so much about the island waterways and we even brought home some sand dollars and mermaid mirrors. -

This home is very delightful. Every amenity is at your disposal. No question goes unanswered. It was only my husband and myself but we wanted some space. The home is so private and quiet yet you really are close to everything. When we arrived, the home was spotless and the bikes had air in the tires. There were plenty of items that make your beach day fun including chairs, coolers, mats and towels.
We didn't use the pool (we are not pool people) but we loved sitting outside. We loved opening the large sliding doors and welcoming the outside in. (There were virtually no insects)
Kent and Pa are fabulous hosts and easy to deal with. We didn't have any issues and it was simple to make the reservation. They are very customer oriented and it was a great experience. -

We have just returned after 3 glorious weeks on anna Maria Island, which has to be one of the most laid back areas in Florida, maximum speed limit mostly 25 mph, things seem to move at a slower pace here, and the food in most of the restaurants on the island is a1 and so diverse.You can eat at a table with your bare feet in the sand and waiter service whilst watching the sun go down, or self service picking a bottle of beer out of a coffin(yes coffin)whilst eating ribs etc. These are just 2 of the delights of anna Maria Island.
The beaches are some of the best in america and the sand is white,there are piers to fish from and all the watersports/deep sea fishing that you could expect.
Now we come to the best bit, your accomodation, Pa &Kent; Davis your hosts have the most excuisite villa/bungalow you could expect, beautifully furnished,it sleeps 6, but is so big(2 kitchens) and roomy and comfortable that you can each have an area to yourself.The pool and jacoozi is to die for and is so private.There is every amenity you can require,bikes ,beach toys and chairs,parasols,fishing rods,belly boards,skim boards etc.
The cupboards in the kitchens are full of all the small things that you need and only need a few times but which can be a great expense ,sauces,spices,flour etc etc and what one does is replace if you run out.There is always a welcoming drink in the enormous fridge,so you can sit by the barbie listening to the piped music by the pool or inside watching the 72inch TV
This was our second time at the house and was just as we expected it to be,and if i say its like coming home i am not exaggerating.Pa&Kent; go out of their way to make you feel at home and have become our friends and will help you in any way they can.
The only thing wrong with this villa is that i am not there now -

Das Haus mit dem tollen Pool ist einfach wunderschön und lässt keine Wünsche übrig. Ami ist mit seinen Stränden der perfekte Ort zum entspannen, aber auch idealer ausgangspunkt für St. Petersburg, Orlando und selbst Key West haben wir an einem Tag erreicht. Wir kommen sicher wieder...

We stayed here for 3 weeks in July 2010 - 2 adults and 2 children. The home is great for all those holiday needs on anna Maria. Very spacious, conveniently located, nice pool area (great to have a slide), all amenities you need. There were those nice little extras which help make a really enjoyable holiday - toys for the pool/beach, bikes, fishing rods, pool side bbq etc. Tv's to satisfy the kids and the adults.
The home is conveniently located - a short stroll to the trolley bus stop and about a 10 minute stroll to the beach. It was very private and in a quiet area.
Kent and Pa were great hosts - just next door if you need them or a telephone call away. They collected lots of mango's from the tree in the garden and gave us a lovely mango smoothie recipe.
Overall the home was great for us - spacious, clean, all the facilities we needed to make a family holiday very pleasurable and trouble free.

We visited at the end of June from Scotland in the UK and found the property with ease from Tampa airport which took just under an hour to travel. When we arrived Kent and Pa greeted us and made us feel very welcome. They were very helpful and were just a phone call away if you ever need them.
The property was just as described, spotlessly clean and very spacious. The kitchen is also very well equiped and stocked with everything you may need. The pool was great and the pool area was very private with a good supply of pool toys for your use. There were also 2 bikes available which we used to explore the Island and Kent and Pa also gave us the use of Pa's bike which was really nice of them. The beaches on anna Maria are gorgeous, certainly some of the best beaches we have been on and they are only just over a 5 minute walk from the house. Beautiful white sands that stretch as far as the eye can see, "Awesome". If you are looking for something nice to eat I would also recommend visting the Sandbar and the Waterfront restaurants and if you like burgers then you will need to try Skinnys, which is just across the road from the public beach.
Anna Maria was everything we thought it would be and we had a great holiday. We will certainly be looking to holiday here again sometime in the future

If you want relaxation, comfort and fun, this is the place to stay. Pa & Kent are fabulous, attentive but not intrusive. We stayed with my brother and sister and thier spouses, so there were 6 of us and we also had other relatives that came & visited. We were able to entertain 16 adults on one night and the kitchen was so well equipped, we lacked for nothing. Our main idea during this vacation was to relax and enjoy our family and this house way exceeded our expectations. Everything was immaculate , and our every need was anticipated, plus some. There is Wifi, satellite radio pumped out to the pool, great appliances and a wonderful location. We would recommend this house to anyone looking for a great vacation.

Im Mai 2010 haben wir zum zweiten Mal anna Maria Island besucht und waren zum ersten Mal mit vier Erwachsenen zu Gast im Haus von Pa und Kent Davis. Schon nach der Buchung wurde uns jede erdenkliche Hilfe angeboten, und wir wurden warm und herzlich von Kent empfangen.
Das Haus liegt im Wesentlichen ruhig , der wunderschöne Strand ist in wenigen Gehminuten (und noch kürzerer Zeit mit einem der beiden zur Verfügung stehenden Fahrräder )zu erreichen. Die ausstattung des Hauses ist sehr gut, sie bietet alles, was man für einen angenehmen Urlaubsaufenthalt braucht. Die Poollandschaft ist großzügig und außergewöhnlich mit Pflanzen und einem kleinen Wasserfall gestaltet. Die Besitzer wohnen nebenan, doch die Privatsphäre wird selbstverständlich respektiert. Dennoch ist Kent sofort mit Rat und Tat bei kleinen anfragen oder Problemen zur Stelle.
Das Haus war eine sehr gute Wahl, und wir haben unseren Urlaub sehr genossen.

We just spent a week at Kent and Pa's little retreat and had a wonderful stay. The home was spotlessly clean and well furnished. The kitchen was very large and came equipped with all you need to enjoy the local seafood. The splitt bedroom house plan enabled us to retain our privacy when guests stayed overnight and the large living space provided room for everyone. Really enjoyed the enclosed private pool and spa area and the sliding doors that provided easy access to the pool area from both queen bedrooms and the main living area.
Close enough to the beach to walk or to ride the bikes provided. We were happy that the location was away from the commercial part of the island, but not to far away.
We were greeted by Kent upon arrival and given a quick rundown of the home and tips on the islands restaurants, shopping and entertainment. He was easy to contact with questions and a great ambassador for the island.
We would recommend the home as perfect for just two,two couples, or two couples with or without kids. Lots of room to roam. -

This was our 3rd stay in Kent & Pa's beautiful island home. Words cannot express what a fantastic time we had - and always have! The house is spectacular and has more amenities than you can use! Kent & Pa are close-by but only there if you need them. We swam, walked to watch the beach sunset, bbq'd, relaxed on the beach and by the pool, rode bikes, rode the trolley, and visited a few of our favorite island restaurants. We are already talking about next year's visit...this home is worth every penny....WE LOVE IT!!!!

Instead of receiving Christmas gifts, our adult children asked us to put the money toward a family vacation. We agreed and let them choose where they wanted to go. Our family has vacationed in several areas of Florida before but we had never heard of Anna Maria Island.
The home and pool were absolutely beautiful! The website pictures don't do it justice. Everything in the home was clean and in great working order. We had everything we needed.
The pool/whirlpool were a big hit with our family. We spent many hours lounging by the pool/hot tub, listening to Sirius radio, and cooking on the gas grill.
The beaches were beautiful and not crowded. We saw dolphins close to shore and had fun finding sand dollars on the sandbar.
Kent and Pa were perfect hosts and provided us with information in regard to restaurants, entertainment, etc.
Our family experienced a priceless week together. We highly recommend staying at this tropical paradise. -

My family and I just returned from a terrific stay at Kent and Pa's vacation rental home on Anna Maria Island. The house is great - there was plenty of room for my three sons (6, 3, 6 mos), and my inlaws, as well as my wife and I. Unlike condos we've stayed in before, we weren't tripping over each other. My older boys enjoyed the pool and hot tub immensely. They also loved climbing on the tree in the front yard. The kitchen was plenty big - we prepared breakfast and lunch daily - and we used the grill to cook dinner one evening. The dining room table is as shown - huge. Overall, the house was very clean upon our arrival.
Having stayed at Longboat Key, Siesta Key, Key West, Fort Lauderdale Beach, and Panama City Beach before - I'd have to say that Anna Maria is the most laid back, relaxing spot of them all. It's very family oriented - even though it was Spring Break - out waits at restaurants on the island were reasonable. The home is located smack in the middle of the island, a short bike or car ride away from shopping and restaurants. The Waterfront was terrific as was the Sandbar - if you love seafood - being on the island is really the way to go. All that said - if you are looking for wild and crazy night life - I would recommend investigating other options.
The beach on Anna Maria was fantastic. We ventured down the street about 2 blocks on a daily basis to enjoy some time watching the boys play in the sand surf. It's an easy walk or bike ride - and also a very easy drive (parking was never a problem) in case, like us, you have a lot of kid gear to bring with you.
As avid runners, my wife and I were able to tour the island on foot - the beach is great for running especially early before the crowds get out - definitely a highlight was a morning jog while watching the dolphins playing in the gulf.
We did also venture to Disney World while we were visiting - It was about a 2 hour drive - so it's a long but doable day trip from Anna Maria. -

This spotlessly clean and well appointed home is the center for a very carefree week. It is located close to all of the resaturants and the beach is a 2 block walk away. It is more like staying at a friends house than a rental. The beach is beautiful. When you want to uplug, this is the place to do it. Kent and Pa are great.

We had a wonderful time on our vacation much due to this home and its
owners. Kent and Pa are wonderful hosts that offer any help you need but
are not overbearing. Booking this rental went very smoothly. Kent is very
informative and helpful. He gave us a tour of the house when we got there
and explained how everything worked. He was available when we had
questions but did not intrude in any way. The home is beautiful inside and
out--nicely decorated (not ultra modern but that was just fine for us) and
very clean. The extras they provide were extremely helpful (ie: health and
beauty products, kitchen items like spices, condiments, and food storage
items, beach toys, and extra towels.) The home itself is a very private
paradise with the entire back of the house able to open to the outdoors
with sliders letting the breeze and sunshine indoors. The pool and hot tub
were so nice as well as the multiple seating areas, the grill and the outdoor
shower for when returning from the beautiful beaches. The inside of the
house is set up very nicely. There is a place for everything--relaxing by the
extra large tv (PBS Sprout was a big hit with our little girls), reading or
playing family games in the cozy sitting area, eating at the large dining
table while listening to XM radio, cooking in the incredibly equipped
kitchen, sleeping on the ultra soft matresses, or doing laundry in the
garage. When we finally left this tropical paradise we did have a lot of fun at
the beaches, the pier, a playground, and a nature preserve. We tend to be
homebodies but if that isn't you never fear! Kent showed us a map of a host
of wonderful activities and places to see. The set up of the house welcomes
any size family from a couple to two families. There was plenty of space. -

We just returned from a vacation that is unforgetable. We arrived during the longest cold spell Florida had seen in over 20 years! But thanks to our great hosts we were welcomed to our Island home with a private stash of hot chocolate! Our home was well equiped with everything we needed to have the best vacation ever. Our family of 4 (two daughters ages 5 and 3) had plenty of beach toys, chairs and mats to make our beach days fun. The house also had pool toys for the girls to play with when we finally got the pool heated enough to enjoy it! Our evenings were spent relaxing in the hot tub and watching tv on the ever so comfy sectional. The girls were able to watch their programs in their own "princess" room.
The house is nicely located in the middle of the island which made it quick to get anywhere on the island. We loved the trees in the back yard. They provided much privacy and sound barriers. We found all the necessary items needed to cook meals at home. Even though we ate out one meal everday. We reccomend eating at the Moveable Feast. Kent was great in showing us the hot spots to eat and activities to attend. This made the trip much easier and gave us things to look for.

We stayed on Anna Maria for 2 weeks and as per last years note we loved this place. The house is secluded, very inviting and warm. The pool and spa were awesome. Kent and Pa are the best hosts you can ever imagine. They make you feel like you have been friends for years and are so happy to see you. The weather was not as accomadating but maybe next year. We will come back and try again.

This has been the 3rd year on the run that we have stayed at Kent & Pa's house. We absolutely love it. The house has everything we need to make it a home from home and as we spend a month there, that is very important to us. Anything else we need is provided without question. Kent and Pa are lovely and make the perfect hosts. The pool area is just great and being south facing ideal for the winter sun. The beach is just down the road and everything is provided for your comfort when you go there, chairs etc. The island is lovely with lots of lovely places to eat and the free trolley bus that runs the length of the island is just 2 minutes walk from the villa. Everyone is very friendly and so polite which is becoming a thing of the past in the UK. This year, unfortunately, the weather was poor for the last week but that is the only negative I can think of.

Perfect. The hosts, Pa and Kent, live next door so Kent was there to meet us as soon as we arrived ( don't worry about privacy, they never came over unless called and the backyard is totally secluded). I was impressed to find it well supplied. Seriously, don't shop early. Some of the things we found- shampoo, conditioners, soaps at each sink, toilet paper, paper towels, tissues, garbage bags, cleaning and dishwashing supplies, cooking spray, spices, brownie mix, microwave popcorn, ice cream bars, basic condiments, garlic bread,and even a few sodas and beers. Although none of this is guarenteed I am confident you will find a lot of the same. I am sure this saved us at least $50. The kitchen was well stocked. The grill clean/easy to use. Kent oriented us on how to work everything . Roomy garage with remote. The house itself is absolutely meticulous. Every first paper towel, kleenex and toilet paper were even folded into a nice triangle like you find in only the nicest of hotels. The larger bedrooms have sliders opening to the pool. The entire back of the house is basically all glass/sliders looking out onto the the gorgeous pool with waterfall and a built in benches. Beautiful automatic landscape and pool lighting. Outdoor shower. Plenty of pool toys, floats, a pump, coolers , beach chairs, and a few fishing rods. I have stayed in many rentals including 3 others on the island,and most do what they need to to "get by", this house was totally different. Every extra detail was thought of. Where one house might have a table to eat on by the pool, this one had a table with umbrella and LED lights around the umbrella pole. Where one has mismatched leftover linens this had top of the line,all matching. In other houses I have felt like everything was a garage sale find but this is so obviously not the case here. This was a splurge for us and we thought it would be a once in a lifetime thing but we are already saving and planning on coming back. Worth it!

What a holiday.Just so sorry the holiday had to end ,and although we say this after every holiday, this time it was very special,it was not just3 weeks away,it was 3 weeks in a dream house.Everything was there,we wanted for nothing in the house.We knew before we left England from previous reviews that this would be special and it was.Pa and Kent were such very nice people as were their friends,they made us feel at home and we were just that,at home.
We hope that we can repeat the experience in the very near future.Nothing we write can explain just how it was at Pa and Kents house so why don't you try for yourselves,you will love it

We couldn't say enough about Kent and Pa's Private Tropical Garden Home - absolutely spotless, extremely well managed, great beds, great linens, great privacy and great island advice! Pool and spa are incredible. A truly terrific vacation! We've stayed on the island in other homes but this is the best to date! Island music on the XM radio, internet and big screen TV a definite plus. You can tell these owners pay attention to every detail - from the cold beverages awaiting your arrival, to the beach and pool toys stocked, to the personal touches you won't find in any other vacation rental. We'll be back!

We had a great 3 weeks at the house, an ideal comfortable quiet base for a really relaxing holiday. We hired an electric golf cart and became beach bums for the duration, only leaving the island twice in all the time we stayed.
The house had all the extras and the main things you need, comfy beds with soft linen that you can actually sleep in, decent barby, ice cold air conditioning and a great pool. The kids (11 and 8) loved the pool and cable tv. Kent and Pa were great hosts - even supplied cold beer and pizza ready for when we arrived, and any problem would have been quickly resolved if we had any.
It was great to rent a house that was fully equipped with everything, and I mean everything like being at home
To finish it all we swam with wild dolphins in the sea on the last day!
A great base for traveling or lazing on the Island
No more Portugal for us!!!

Last year, I organized an island retreat for me and
some of my Ohio friends at this tropical hideaway.
At the end of that week the only thing we wanted
was to do it again next year! This was our second
year of nonstop sun, beautiful beaches (within
walking distance), and relaxing fun.
I thought the house had everything before, but Pa
and Kent have added more Asian artwork, cooking
accessories and a new stainless steel gas grill
that made late night cookouts by the pool fun. This
is a dreamhouse. As before it was immaculately
clean on arrival, everything worked and we are
grateful for the friendly hospitality. We had a
ball and we'll see you next year! -

My family and I just got back from a week of bliss! Our Island Oasis was every bit as advertised. It was tough just to leave the back yard paradise to run out for replenishments. I think we only made it to the beach once! Why leave when you already have it all.

We had the pleasure of spending a week in this beautiful house in July 2009 and our stay was a sincerely a fantastic experience. This is wonderful home is designed for comfort and simplicity. The home met all our needs and more. The enormous master suite, the beautiful d?cor, the abundance of amenities, and the gorgeous pool all added to the most relaxing weeklong vacation we have ever had. There is absolutely nothing we wanted for. Kent and Pa are the most gracious hosts ever. They certainly go out of their way to make guests feel at home. We had the time of our lives here and we never wanted to leave the house. The privacy is amazing. This is a place we will never forget. We loved it so much we are canceling a cruise we had planned and we are returning for another weeks stay with family in November 2009. Thanks for the memories.

We usually holiday in Europe (coming from London, England), but as one of us had a "special" birthday we decided to do something different. Anna Maria Island is fantastic and the house is something else - we didn't want to leave! Everything you can ask for is there and nothing is too much trouble for Kent and Pa - they are two very special people. I would highly recommend staying at this wonderful house.

Kent and Pa's holiday home on Anna Maria Island qualifies as a little
bit of heaven and our host's cead mila failte ("hundred thousand
welcomes") started off a wonderful two weeks. We, two families from
Canada, friends for years, were sharing this beautiful house.
Spacious, and well appointed Kent and Pa's place is first rate, really
the best we have experienced anywhere. The kitchen facilities were
ideal and made it enjoyable to cook and entertain, while looking out
at the beautiful pool and garden. Everything one would need can be
found at the house and it is convenient to shopping and restaurants.
Anna Maria is a fantastic holiday destination with much to do for
young and old alike. The local beaches are absolutely tops, long
strands of sand as far as one can see, again a little bit of heaven in
Florida. Strongly recommended! -

We stayed at Kent & Pa's place on Anna Maria around the end of May 2009. It's a perfect place to wind down after a hectic time in Orlando. The local beach is one of the best i have ever been to and i have been to most of the worlds best. The sea is perfect for young children being more like a lake at times I guess that makes it bad for surfers, but you cant have it both ways !!!
The villa is equipped with everything you need for having a lazy time ! I have to say the pool is to die for and my kids had a great time on the slide ! The BBQ does need replacing though, it's burger flipping days are definitely over. The sirius radio should also get a mention, it's piped outside to the pool area which is really nice !
We can also highly recommend the local jet ski hire and parasailing ! -

This house is an amazing place to relax and
socialize, and it was perfect for a reunion with
college friends I haven't seen in years. I wish I
could move in permanently!. The whole house is
sunny and tropical with interesting artwork from
Asia (the owners lived in Thailand for many years).
The comfy living room with big screen TV was
popular for movies each night. There's a giant
sunroom with a second living room and a giant
granite dining table for 8. The back of the house
is solid glass overlooking the pool, gardens and
waterfall. Great garden views from every room but
absolutely private. The huge kitchen has bar
seating so making meals was a social event every
day with extended happy hour. (-:
Island life is great and I started each day with a
swim. The pool is in a giant screened area that's
as big as my house. The screen keeps bugs out and
lets the sun in. The pool area has cool lights at
night and outdoor speakers for the satellite radio
system. Everything on the island is just a couple
of minutes away by bike or car. The north end of
the island is the best place to stay (no traffic
like the south end!) and there are a bunch of cool
little bars and restaurants. The beach is about a
10 minute walk but we drove so we could take
coolers etc. Free parking everywhere and none of
the beaches were crowded.
The owners Kent and Pa keep the place in tiptop
shape. Everything worked and there were maps and
newspapers waiting when we got there. Better yet,
they spent time with us personally answering all
our questions, showing us the house and giving us
tips about the best places on the island. If you
want to relax in luxury and see the island like a
native, this is the place! -

If you can't relax here - you can't relax.
The pools are fantastic for the kids during the day and big kids at night. The beach is but a short walk, trolley or bike ride. The house is great for entertaining, beautifully maintained, tastefully decorated and located on a section of the island without any traffic.
All of the items you need are in the house (boogie boards, skim boards, pails, shovels, pool rafts, beach towels, umbrellas, etc...) - just grab a few bathing suits and show up. Kent and Pa (owners) are excellent folks and very helpful. Fishing was great right off the dock.

A Paradise found
I have vacationed several years all over the state of Florida. This by
far has been the best rental accommodation. The house is beautiful.
From the pool to where it is situated on the island. What makes this
place the best are the hosts Kent & Pa they know how to run a vacation
home rental. From the time you arrive to the time you leave you will
say this is the Florida I love. Laid Back and Peaceful. If you want
Peace and tranquility on a beautiful island with the two best
ambassadors being your host then you have found your spot. Look no
farther you have found your Paradise.

There isn't much more we can say about this home that hasn't been
said. The accomodations, location and hosts were fabulous! If you are
looking for a relaxing vacation with privacy then this is the house
and location for you. Pa and Kent were wonderful and very
accomodating. The pictures tell the story! We've been to various
places in Florida for vacations and Anna Maria and this house are tops
on our list! Hope to be back again next year.

We stayed at this
beautiful one-level (no steps) island home in paradise for six weeks
during January and February of 2009 and had a wonderful time. Everything
about our stay here was outstanding including the owners, Pa and Kent,
with whom we became good friends.
Everything about the home is first
class from the bedding, furniture,cooking facilities and especially the
entertainment equipment (TV,
radio, books, DVDs,) wireless internet,
pool and spa. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you could
need for meal preparations.
The bedrooms will accommodate six easily,
but there is room for many more friends to join you for dinner at the
huge marble top dining
table, the big screen TV, or the great 35 foot
swimming pool and large spa. Our boat was able to be docked across the
street from the front door. This is a safe and comfortable home with
instant assistance from
Kent and Pa for any special request or
information. The white powdery sand beach and choice of resturants are
also supurb. We would rank our stay here at the top of the best places
we have stayed throughout the
many states in the US and countries of
Europe that we have traveled.
We did not want to leave and will return
for sure in the future.
If you want to relax and totally enjoy your
vacation without worrying about anything, this is the place to stay in
the sun. If we could rate it a 10, we would. This is simply luxury at
its best!

Kent and Pa's island home is of an exceptional standard and perfectly
suited to couples like us, who were looking to relax in the most
tranquil and private of settings.
The photos on this site speak for themselves, but the care and
attention that Kent and Pa have put into this island home, with a view
to accommodating every possible need and comfort is commendable.
Complimenting this, the villa was exceptionally clean and filled with
an abundance of literature and entertainment that was simply superb.
Virtually, the whole of the south facing wall of the villa is made up
of sliding glass doors; which allowed us the view of the tropical
lagoon themed pool and gardens from every room. This was both
enchanting and practical; allowing access to the pool area from all of
the main rooms.
Many days were simply spent reading and relaxing by the pool, in the
most glorious of settings. Due to the villa's location; there was no
noise from over zealous families, which has tainted many other villa
holidays in the past.
The home is situated in a superb location, which allowed us to explore
either by foot or on the bikes that were so kindly made availble for
use.
We have stayed in many villas, both in Florida and in a variety of
locations in the United States. Never have I felt so spoiled in home
comforts and tranquility. I do not hesitate in recommending this
island home to couples like us, who work hard all year and want to
simply spoil ourselves and relax in the most delicious of
surroundings.
A final note, which particularily impressed us, was the friendliness
of Kent and Pa and the willingness to help us should we have any
problems with either the villa or indeed during our stay in the US.
Kent also offered to show us around the island on arrival. This
personal touch was so kind and reassuring and, albeit we never needed
any help, it was a joy knowing that such nice people were only a phone
call away, if a problem did arise.
We simply can not wait to plan another visit to Anna Marie island and
there can not be another island home more suited to our needs than
Kent and Pa's.
