The Harrison Home is a very spacious three bedroom, four bath pool home located at 6901 Gulf Drive in Holmes Beach, just 150' to a beautiful sandy beach. Located in the preferred northern end of Holmes Beach, this home features a private pool with fenced yard, poolside gazebo, extensive new landscaping, single car garage, and numerous outside decks with views of the Gulf of Mexico. The Harrison Home provides all amenities, plus a BBQ grill for cookouts with the family at poolside and a full size washer and dryer. We had 10 family members staying in this house for 7 days during spring break. We could have had room for more guests it was vey large. Weather was not that great this yr, so we were happy for the large space. Overall we enjoyed this home with the close walk to the beach. It made it easy to get kids lunch & snacks while not packing up the whole beach. Now the things that may want us to consider other rentals, would be due to the unheated pool, beautiful pool, but needs solar system at the very least. Kids could not swim in it, it was freezing. The decor is very old, comfortable beds, but bedding is very worn out and couch downstairs had some tears in the fabric. We had great cooks in our group who were disappointed in the cook wear...old and unable to cook in them. Cookware coating is off and food would get ruined. Other than those cosmetic issues we had a fun experience. Pool was always clean. Pool crew was out while we were there. Just sad we couldn't use it. There was some molding on the pool deck that should have been power washed, I tried to scrub it but could not remove it, made deck very slippery. In the backyard, kids couldn't play in it, because the backyard landscaping was not kept up. It's an older building, but if you have nice weather the location is perfect for the beach and for the free trolley (stop #11) Outside your house. It's a place to sleep while enjoying the outdoors. This property had a beautiful backyard pool and was located very close to the beach. The inside of the house was very spacious. It was clean but was in need of updating and maintenance.

This home is perfect for our family! It has the space for us and our 3 adult children and their children. Last year was the 4th year for us at this location and we are renting it next year as well. It is just a short walk to the beach and the trolley service stop is just across the street, giving access to the entire island. Having a pool is a bonus and we use it almost daily. It is a great place!

My family has rented the Harrison Home for years every summer. It is the perfect rental for a large family...lots of private space yet plenty of homeliness to spend time together. The pool is amazing and the beach is directly across the street. The home is a little on the "lived in" condition, but that is what makes it so comfortable to be in...We don't even try "to find something better" because quite frankly there isn't anything.

weather was great. location of the home was great . the house needs lots of updates. very dark, with dark paneling in very room. didn't feel very safe on the upper deck off the two main bedrooms. lots of weak spots.

Although the decore of the house was a bit outdated,the space,pool and location made up for it. The house was clean and comfotable.We never felt crowded.There were plenty of linens and a well stocked kitchen.The washer and dryer was a huge plus! We had 11 people staying for the week; ranging in age from 20 mo.to 82 years.Everyone was content. The location was ideal...the beach was just across the street. The neighborhood was quiet and it was only a short distance to shops and restaurants. Island Vacation Properties provided all the information we needed. They were organized and pleasant to deal with. We cannot wait for our next visit to anna Maria and another week( or more!) at Harrison House!

There was plenty of room for our extended family including inside and outside furniture and appliances. The decor was dated but comfortable. The pool was a perfect size and the landscaping was lush. It was also close enough to the beautiful beach that it was not an inconvenience to walk back for the sunsets. We really enjoyed our stay and even saw five small owls in the trees by the pool.

Our Family recently stayed in the Harrison Home for third year in a row.This house has everything you need.It is located half block from the beach ,you could even see the ocean from the second floor,the house is spacious and has an extra bed in the bonus room.Each bedroom has its own bathroom plus a full pool bath.The pool is huge perfect to gather the entire family and friends.The kitchen is well equipped and there are plenty of linen and towels to be used in the rooms.On top of this the house is located in Holmes Beach in a residential area only so is not very crowded .The beach has plenty of white sand,and clear blue water.

I have stayed here twice. Location is wonderful, many chairs and toys for beach use in the garage-very nice for families of all ages. I have a couple issues that I feel need to be addressed. The pull out couch upstairs is half broken and very uncomfortable, even for children. That needs (and should) be replaced. Also the exterior is in need of some TLC. Shutters are broken and half off in places. The grounds are well kept and manicured, so seeing the shutters/windows looses that tropical appeal we all seek. I will stay here again next year-just hope the couch is replaced by then as this is a huge obstacle for those trying to use it. Oh, bring as little as possible. The house is well stocked with beach towels thanks to many who have donated through the years.

Island Vacation Properties were wonderful to work with. They answered my questions, emails, phone calls without any problems. They wwere friendly and professional to deal with.
My friends and I really enjoyed the home. There were 9 of us. And we all had enough room. It was spacious, quiet neighborhood, and right around the corner was a stop for the Trolley. We were not far from anything really. The pool area was a great place to spend lots of time.
I think what we really liked the best about the house was the decks and pool area... comforting, peaceful... the sounds of the gulf were relaxing.
The pool was not heated, but we new that at the time of rental. It would be an added plus if it were heated. We would have used it everyday.
We did have a few minor issues, light bulbs were burnt out, 1 burner on the stove didn't work, we couldn't use the blender. and we tried it was missing a part.... my friends blended drink ended all over the counter... 1 bed was broke... This is a great property for a large gathering. The pool is a bonus. They only list 3 bedrooms but the upstairs family room sleeps a few too. It was nice to have the beach toys and chairs available and the toys, books and movies were an added value as well. This is a nice, quiet part of the island.

We spent a wonderful week on AnnaMaria with 5 children(ages 6-10) and 5 adults. The house was comfortably furnished and there was plenty of space for all of us. The pool was a delight -- its size and the landscape made it perfect for hours of fun. The beach is a very short walk away. We would rent the Harrison House again.

This place was awesome for our family! It was close to the beach and had enough room for us all (three families with our own space and bath)! The garage was useful for storing our travel and beach equipment.
The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed for doing our own cooking.
The pool was too cold for swimming in December, but the patio and landscaping around it was great for relaxing and sunbathing.

My family and I have been staying at the Harrison house for several years and have enjoyed it year after year as the perfect place for us to relax and rejuvinate after a long northeast winter.
Arrival is always orderly and we always find the house spotless.
The house itself is open and airy and provides plenty of space for everyone, even though there are only 3 of us (myself and 2 children). I have friends in the area and the size of the house makes it easy to invite others for meals or to come to the beach or just sit by the pool.
All items supplied are sufficient (towels, sheets, blankets etc) and the kitchen is fully stocked - we recommend stopping at the Publix on Manatee & Gulf Drive before arriving because once you get to the house you won't want to leave. There are also plenty of beach chairs in the garage that may be used to take to the beach. We also like the fact that we are able to do laundry when necessary. We wished that there was a vacuum available to use - the floor gets gritty from going to the beach all the time.
Only one time was there a problem with the pool not being clean, due to a storm, a call was made to the rental agency and it was handled quickly and professionally the very next day.
There is a trolly stop across the street for the island trolley which is a great way to see the island and do some shopping if needed.Response from Island Vacation Properties, LLC - 03/09/2009
