The house was very nice and very convenient to the beach. Weather was good. Island Real Estate staff were very helpful. Maid service was good and the maids were friendly and helpful. Traffic on the island was unpredictable but we had anticipated that it would be. We will be looking to return in 2012.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay with our extended family! Twelve adults, four children and two babies had plenty of room and an absolutely perfect location. Private pool was so nice and such a short walk to the beach. We would definitely stay again and have highly recommended it to friends!

Fine house. Fine location. Worked -- though we had thirteen total some of the time and two adults needed to sleep in living room. We'd have preferred pool to have been heated, but all else was great.

walking distance to the beach, not busy, great place for family get-away. Little problem with the pool, but the guys where there to fix it right away.
Spent my 60th with my great girlfriends and daughters. Had a wonderful time. The house has everything you needs. Very cozy and would do it again in a heart beat!! -

Everything was wonderful. The house had everything we needed for our families to celebrate our beach wedding. From young to old, everyone found something to their liking. We highly recommend Island Reality and especially "Almost Gulf!"

The service was excellent although we had a few issues. There was a severe ant problem in the kitchen when we arrived and the home had not been properly cleaned. The coffee maker didn't work and the glass was busted on it and leaked all over the counter. We called Island Real Estate right away and they took care of everything. We also got a discount on staying 4 extra nights. The house was beautiful and private and we had a wonderful relaxing vacation. We would definitely stay there again.

Our extended family (Grandma, her daughters and sons-in-law and four grandchildren and two "grand-spouses" spent Christmas week at AlmostGulf. Room enough for all, a great fully equipped kitchen, beautifully landscaped pool/spa area, and walking distance to the beach. Had a wonderful time bonding! Great restaurants nearby. What we liked best ... being with family. What we liked least - nights a little cool, but the pool was still in use by the younger set, as was the Wii and the all around the house Ipod connection. Best vacation setting ever.

This was the fourth year that our 3 families have gotten together for a winter break. We have stayed at a variety of different homes and locations.
We enjoyed the location and amenities of the house and Anna Maria island. The houses proximity to the ocean was a particular benefit. Almost Gulf was very roomy and had enough space for everyone. The kids particularly enjoyed the game room downstairs. The kitchen was adequately equiped although we had to buy storage containers and other serving pieces. Also a dish drying rack would have been a useful addition to the kitchen.
The pool and hot tub were very nice although the pool was not warm enough to swim until the last day of our stay even after repeated calls to the rental office and trips to the pool by the pool maintenance company. With 6 kids in our party and cool weather conditions a warmer pool would have been a huge plus.
The on island trolley was a nice aspect of the island. This allowed us to get around without really needing the car. The miles of walkable beach front was also a big plus. We did not find the island information (maps and restaurant guide)in the family room coffee table until the end of our stay.
Overall we enjoyed our stay but I am not sure we would select this home again. The pool was a key downside.

We enjoyed the house. Was large and roomy and accommodated our two families very well.
The pool was apparently not cleaned and treated before our arrival. It was slightly green on arrival and grew worse as the first week progressed. The large rain storm exacerbated the problem and left the pool completely un-useable going into the 4th of July weekend. It took several phone calls to Island Realty and most of a day to finally get someone out to treat the pool at 6PM Friday night. The gentleman who came was rude and surly. The pool had gotten so bad that he had to shock it. This rendered it un-useable for the remainder of the evening. The chlorine was still so strong the following day that it faded several swim suits. Our group is large and uses the pool heavily. So, the experience w/the pool at your property, significantly impacted our overall perception of the house. -

Aqua Paradise was a perfect place for our family. Its cozy and new with all the extras you need to feel right at home. The pool was beautiful and the beach was only one short block away. Its close to everything yet far enough away to be private. This house is perfect for small children with no stairs to worry about and the door to the pool is much too heavy for little hands to open. The only drawback I could mention was that the agency advertised the home as a private home but it was really a duplex. Other than that, it was perfect!
