Anna Maria Island is Old Florida – we take things a little slower and our beaches are more famous for for flour soft sands than reliable cell phone reception. But that’s why people spend time with us in anna Maria City – it’s a place to get away from it all. And there are few better spots to have your own break from reality than Shoreline Terrace, a ground level vacation home on the quietest end of the island.

My husband and I could not have been more pleased with this rental. The house was just great. It is advertised as 'old florida' and ' vintage'. The house is absolutely charming! It is well maintained. The kitchen was well equipped with new utensils. The location was convenient to the trolley, piers, restaurants and playground.

We arrived rather late on Saturday. I made plans to pick up the keys at Island real estate. The keys, directions to the house and other information was waiting for us in an envelope. There were no issues. The house was larger than expected. There were four of us staying in it, but we could have easily accommodated six, with 2 3/4 bathrooms and 3 bedrooms. We enjoyed tooling around the island on the one speed bikes that were in the garage. Also, the island trolley was a great way to get to the south side of the island. We liked the location of the house because it was on the north side of the island. It was nice and quiet and had plenty of public beach options, none of which were very busy. We saw dolphins from the backyard, and manatees on the beach. If you are looking for lots of sunshine and relaxation, this is just the ticket.

Not luxury but nice and geat for families.
The Island Real Estate is keeping everything nice and clean.
A renovation of 2/3 Bathrooms could contribute to the great feeling at this wonderful spot.

This place was great. It is right on the beach,great deck, walking distance to both piers. We sunned and swam and played for a week. The kids thought they were in heaven.
We don't keep live shells. But the kids found over a hundred sand dollars. We found live Cockles, tulips, and a great big live whelk shell.
The only down side at all was that this beautiful home, well designed, with great amenities, has over time lost all the tall drinking glasses. Someone should tell the owners...go spend $20 bucks and buy some new drinking glasses. It is absurd that with matching towels, beautiful matching linens, comforters ...all that they have done to make the house feel and show great........... no has remembered to replace the drinking glasses.
So when you go ...stop at the Publix and buy some glasses on your way.
I hope you have as much fun as we did!!

This house was amazing for our family.It met the needs of my 81 yr old father-big shade trees on the beach to my 5 and 7 yr old children.40 ft to calm waters and it was just great.Thanks for making our family vacation just awesome!!!

The beach is your backyard!

This house was pretty nice. The porch isn't covered which made it kind of hard to come in out of the sun without actually having to come in. Also one of the bathrooms could use a little touching up. But for the most part it was great! My family enjoyed it. It's right near both piers. There is also nothing like having a beach at your back door!
