This was our first time to visit Holmes Beach and we will return! The accommodations were perfect and the staff at Island Real Estate was so helpful, from check-in to check-out. Thank you for making our family vacation one to remember. My granddaughters did not want to go home! Please thank the owners for allowing us to use their beautiful beach house. We will book it again!

We started to look for a family vacation destination that would offer us home where we could spend some quality time together as a family. With 16 family members including 8 children it was quite a challenge. We were very happy to find this home with enough space for all of the family. It is located close to the beach with easy access to home, beach and community. Beautiful home. We would probably consider returning.

This was a great fit for our family when we came down to aMI to get hitched! The only annoyance was how loud the house was (the floors are mostly tiled, which makes sense), and that lets noise bounce around quite a bit. Check-in was superb, and the staff were awesome. A huge thank-you to the property owners for also providing massive amounts of towels--we needed them!

It is everything that you see and MORE! The house is in great condition, could
not have been happier with this home. It held 2 large families comfortably. Has
tons of things for the kids (of all ages) to keep busy. We had a problem with
the pool becoming cloudy on the 3rd day of our stay. I called Island real estate
and not 5min later someone was poolside taking care of the problem and an
agent from the office was calling to make sure we were satisfied! This home is
close to everything! A little confusing to get to if you are not familliar with the

We (3 fam-6A & 6C) arrived after hours and our keys were where Island Real Estate told us they would be. Upon entering the home we noticed the 3 floors were clean and still appeared new. We could slightly hear the waves on the beach although darkness had obscured the view. It was a little bit of a haul but we got our bags upstairs into place (an elevator would have been a Godsend). We were agasp at the beauty of the backyard, pool was all lit up and ready for action, unfortunately the weather -50's- prohibited us from endulging. The children couldnt wait until the next day so they could swim in the heated pool. It wasnt quite warmed up enough probably because the cool weather prevented the heat pump from operating.
The heat pump was a setback, we found nearly everyday we were there to be not functioning and barely heating the pool past 70 deg, it operated throughout the night only to have the heating coils in defrost mode- not working at all. Kids were fearless but were overcome by blue hands and lips quickly. This was clearly a poor decision to save a few dollars on the heating bill. We paid extra for the pool heat and never got to enjoy it...please exchange that heat pump for a natural gas pool heater !
The spa off the pool was supposed to have heated jets and did not have a switch to turn them on. Seems the owners removed the remote control switch never installing a manual one to activate the spa valves. Therefore no spa, no jets, no heat/pool, no fun.
The area around this home is fantastic, we rode the bikes nearly everyday and enjoyed a lot of walks to the beach accross the street. The cold weather hindered us a litlle but we were happy just to be in the sunshine for a few weeks.
The restaurants on Anna Maria Island were charming as well as the shops and stores.
Most of us liked the beach and the quiet street. The appliances had some problems as well as no surround sound, noone connected it!

A wonderful roomy place for a large family. All amenities were provided as promised! There wasn't anything we needed! Highly recommend it! Checking in and out with Island Real Estate was so easy because everything is done in advance! We look forward to returning and will definately rent from Island Real Estate again!

Less than two blocks from a beautiful beach and chock full of amenities like the pool and Tiki bar, ping pong table and balconies, this was a fantastic rental for our group.
We had a problem with the washer on day one and the management company had a tech over to fix it that day. The kitchen is well appointed, the layout is open and roomy, it was very clean, and definitely will be on our list again in 2010. -

We stayed here as our base of operations for a destination wedding on Anna Maria Island. Our son was getting married. The occupants in the house included grandparents, parents, siblings Aunts and uncles and cousins of the groom. All told there were 14 of us and the house held us very comfortably. We also enjoyed the wonderful ammenities like the pool and the deck area. All in all the stay was amazing

This rental was very nice and met our expectations with the exception of some new construction issues that needed to be work out, i.e. speakers in master made buzzing noise that kept us awake, ipod connection did not work, dishwasher was not installed correctly, no regular garbage pick-up. Unfortunately these concerns did not get addressed while we were there even though we contacted the rental agency multiple times, I also filled out the satisfaction survey at the end of our visit identifying our concerns and never recieved an acknowledgement from the rental agency. Overall this was good experience.
