  Stayed at Starfish Unit #1 from 4/17-4/24/13 and it was perfect. Clean, comfortable, nice furnishings, beautiful landscaping, heated pool, and best of all, only 100 or so steps to the beach. Can't wait to return, but so disappointed the dates we are interested in winter/spring 2014 are already booked!

  We enjoyed a terrific accommodation. The unit was beautifully Floridian decorated with all the perks. There were fans in the two bedrooms and in the living room. The appliances were new, with a refrigerator with a water filter. There was a sense of old world charm in the decorating with tile in the bathrooms, and the higher ceilings. Deluxe! We especially like the pool and outdoor landscaping and privacy. We'll go back to this unit again!

  Komfortabele, saubere Unterkunf. Alles so wie beschrieben. Terrasse für drei Personen etwas zu klein. Ideale Lage zum Strand und zum Einkauf des täglichen Bedarfs. Ami und StarFish2 immer wieder.

  The unit is very nice, and overall well kept. The washer had some problems, the kitchen faucet had no pressure, and was not repaired during our 10 day stay - the washer was.
  The unit had been poorly cleaned before our arival - the furniture was dusty, and the floors were filthy !!! Under the beds was visible dust bunnies.
  The facility manager was cooperative and got several things repaired - including the guest bath pocket door which was off the track.
  However, the location is excellent, only a block from the beach, and shopping for groceries and etc. is very close; as are several good resturants.
  The pool is advertised as heated, and that's a VERY loosely used term. Unless the outside temp is over 80, the water is too cold to swim.
  But we have reserved the unit for next year, and hopefullt both the weather and the facilities will be better.

  The property we rented called StarFish 1 was amazing! It was spacious, clean and very private even though there were cottages very close by. The privacy fence added that extra touch, and it you wanted to mingle with the neighbors you could, but werent forced to. we rented a car which was never used, for all we needed was close by. We enloyed our 9 days so much we booked for 2 weeks next year!! The Kehoes of West Chester, Pa

  My family and I enjoyed one week in January 2010 and two weeks in March
  2010 in this wonderful beach cottage. It had all the amenities that we could
  want or need and is just around the corner from Holmes beach. The location
  is close to many great restaurants in Anna Maria Island, Holmes Beach and
  Bradenton AND is only two blocks from a Public's Grocery Store. We had
  friends join us in March and they also fell in the love with the beach cottage
  and the island experience!

  We were given our keys in advance of our official booking time which was great as this allowed us not to waste a day in the sun. The facilities were excellent a real home from home.The location was excellent for shopping, eating and the beach in particular. The only one addition I might recommend would be a kettle for us Brits !

  My husband and I plus our 2 kids stayed in the Starfish cottage and had a wonderful time. Everything was clean and very charming. The beach was right across the street and when that became too hot we would sit by the tropically landscaped pool to cool off. There was a free trolley just steps away that would take us all over the island and the famous Mr. Bones at the end of the street. A very relaxing vacation for us all.

  I could've gotten use to this lifestyle

  My family of four spent a week at Starfish Cottage #2 this past June. We've been traveling throughout Florida for years, but always staying with relatives, or at resorts or hotels. This is the first time we tried a rental vacation home, and I'll have a hard time going back to hotels!
  
  For a family of four (with young kids sharing a bed), it was perfect. The beach is a 3 minute, around the corner walk. The complex has an absolutely stunningly landscaped small pool perfect for early morning swims, or for cooling off when returing from the beach.
  
  My only complaints: no internet connection, which should be as standard as cable tv nowadays, and a larger grill. Irksome, but didn't interfer with our enjoyment of the property overall.
  
  In short... I wish I could've stayed a lot longer! And will be looking to rent this again on our next trip to AMI.

  Highly satisfying stay

  We've had a two weeks stay in this wonderful place. The appartment was very clean, everything was in a good shape and we enjoyed our stay very much. The pool was very warm the first days, later it was more refreshing.
  
  In the beautiful courtyard around the pool we saw parrots, a hummingbird (really!) and a racoon (sleeping in the tree - lovely).
  
  It's really just a short stroll to the beach, which we enjoyed very much as well.
  
  Perfect place ... ok, maybe one little thing - if you would like to cook instead of going out, it probably would need a bit more kitchenware. But for parties of two (so were we) it was still ok.
  
  Last but not least - renting it via Island Real Estate was quite comfortable.
  
  All in all: we really enjoyed it very much - probably that's the reason why I've just booked it again ;-)
