The beauty of the Gulf and the peacefulness of the area continues to draw us back to anna Maria and renews us.
We look forward to our next visit.

Great condo. Clean , spacious, comfortable, unbeatable view, easy access straight to the beach, very nice neighbors as well.
Would definitely go again.

The apartment was huge and was not overly crowded with furniture. All amenities were provided. The man "across" the hall lived there and was a huge help with directions, etc. Our stay was perfect!!!!
Bad experience - we checked out after 2 nites & lost our money

Advertised as a 3 bedroom. Didn't mind the bedsitter but the roll out couch was broken badly, called and there was an attempt to fix it but mid way through the night it broke while Mother-in law was sleeping. Next night they moved in one of the single beds and it was too small. The closet had a lock on it and no dressers to store things. Toaster was broken and the appliances were at least 25 years old. Owner needs to put some $ into his property. On the upside, the view was awesome and the people friendly. We checked out after 2 nites and I lost the balance of the $1300 US I paid. No refund of credits whatsoever. Read more
Response from Island Real Estate & Vacation Rentals - 07/10/2009
We were sorry to see you leave early and not enjoy the condo for your full vacation. The condo has a king bed, two twin beds and the sleeper sofa. I'm sorry that when the sleeper sofa did not function properly even after trying to fix it that our solutions of moving one of the twin beds into the 3rd bedroom or renting you a cot were not acceptable. Since there were four people in the party and sleeping arrangements for four were provided there was not much more we could do. Thanks to your feedback on the sleeper sofa the owner has since replaced it with a new one. We hope you will consider visiting Anna Maria Island and using Island Real Estate again in the future.

The condo sits right on the beach, and the view from the living room, kitchen, dining room and, of course, the lanai is just amazing. We enjoyed many breakfasts, sunset dinners and just leisure time watching the surf from the lanai.
We liked the ground-level covered parking area under the condos - very convenient. The decor is "Floridian" without being "resorty". The unit was sparkling clean, and the kitchen was equipped with an ample supply of the basics. If you're an avid and/or picky cook, I'd suggest bringing your own knife and a pot or pan or two as well as your favorite seasonings. If you are a family of 3 or more and/or staying for a week or more, make sure you bring an extra roll or two of paper towels & bathroom tissue - there was one roll of each when we arrived. We also had to bring in some dishwasher detergent.
Plenty of bath towels, but you'll want to bring your own for the beach. A beach umbrella and several chairs are available for your use (we didn't know and brought our own).
No grilling is allowed on the lanai, and we didn't see anyone else grilling on or near the beach. Grill equipment was not included either, so I wouldn't plan on outdoor cooking.
The main reason I gave this 4 stars rather than 5 was because of the stairs. The condo is on the third level, and there are LOTS of stairs to go up and down every time you come and go. Separate stairs lead to the beach, which is convenient. It did get to be a drag going up & down those stairs after a while - especially when carting our stuff down at the beginning of the day and bringing it back up in the evening.
There were 3 1/2 TVs (one is a 1982 Vintage Gold Star with "issues"), but who goes to the beach to watch TV? ;)
Overall, this was a great place to stay. The view is incredible, and the sound of the surf is just awesome. Everyone we met in the area was so friendly and some very helpful/informative. The unit was impeccably clean (be careful you don't run into the sliding glass door on the lanai!) and nicely laid out.
Disappointed in Anna Maria

Hi and thanks for asking. We loved the location of the property and Anna Maria. We were only able to get away for just 1 week this year and wanted to spend as much time at the beach as possible but the weather didn't cooperate so we spent more time in the condo than we would have otherwise. Being great golf lovers we felt like this inconvenient weather would be offset by watching The Masters golf tournament that week-end. Well sorry to say the television sets, the one in the living area and the one in the den, were both of such very poor quality that we were exasperated by the reception, on top of that, the furniture is so out of date and terribly uncomfortable to sit on that we were disappointed by the whole experience. If folks are going to rent these units and ask for the kind of money that they do, they should be providing a high quality living area in return. They did not in our case. I have spent many months in Anna Maria in the past and love the area. I am more than willing to pay the asking prices for this exquisite area, but please, give me a place that I can brag about instead of what we experienced.
