The condo was advertised and marketed on HomeAway by Island Real Estate. The Homeaway features included gulf front and sleeps up to 10 people. The condo was not direct gulf front as advertised. There was a condo unit directly in front of ours which blocked the full view of the Gulf. In addition, you had to walk to the beach. There was no access directly from the condo to the beach. The condo had three bedrooms and only slept six. There were air mattreses in the closet; however, never should an air mattress be considered an acceptable bed unless noted in the condo features. Fortunately, we had teenagers that slept on couches and one utilized the bedroom closet as a bedroom. The kitchen equipment was minimal. There were not enough towels to accomodate all guests without running a load of laundry each day. There were no instructions as to how to utilize the stove or washer and dryer. I cook with a gas range at home and do not have a front loading washer and dryer.
After speaking to Island Real Estate, they did credit $200.00 to the final bill.
Bottom line, given the rental fee for this unit and the true features of the unit, it was over priced. If we had in our party one more adult, we would have been required to change to a different rental unit as this unit would not have accomodated us.
I would highly recommend that changes be made to the features displayed on the Homeaway website. Even though the Island Real Estate agent held the condo owner responsible for the content of the Homeaway site, if the contact information on the Homeaway site is the Marketing Realtor, the responsibility to disclose the true information regarding the condo falls under the Realtor not the condo owner.

My family and I stayed at La Casa Costeria for the second year in a row. We love Anna Maria Island, La Casa Costeria is a great place to vacation. Our unit, LCC7 was great, we stayed in LLC8 last year, but LLC7 did not disappoint.
The only complaint I had about the whole vacation was with the guest in Unit LLC1. Apparently they had their entire family staying in the area and used our condo complex as their gathering spot. Each morning approximately 20-25 visitors would take over our beach space and pool until early evening, then everyone would leave. Expect for one night, about 10 of them stayed, cooked out by the pool, and stayed in the pool/hot tub drinking until about 2am.
My wife and I just felt like we payed a premium price to stay at a place like La Casa Costeria, but felt like we got a little cheated on our vacation because we couldn't completly enjoy the ammenities.
Again, we love Anna Maria Island and will be back, but we may have to find a different place to stay next year. -

We were very impressed , only seeing pictures on the computer you really never know what to expect . This was a five star accomidations , everything was first class , we felt we were visiting with friends at there home , not renting from strangers . We have rented several condos all over the world but this was by far the nicest we have ever stayed in . The location was fantastic and we really enjoyed Anna Maria Island , looking forward to a return visit ....

One of our best family vacations ever!

We had a wonderful time during our vacation to AMI. One of the things that made our vacation so enjoyable was our unit. With 3BRs, a huge kitchen, top of the line decor and tons of living space the condo was definately top notch. The beach was absolutely beautiful and the trolley made getting around the island easy. We definately plan to return for another wonderful vacation next year. The Atwell Family, CO
