Our group included 7 women, so we were looking for comfort. We found it at Sand Dollar! The bedrooms and bathrooms were perfect for our group. The kitchen was well furnished. When we arrived the elevator, TV, and house phone were not working. The TV and phone were quickly repaired. The repair of the elevator took several days-so don't count on it.
Several ladies used the pool daily and found it to be wonderful. The house is just a short walk to the beach, and we found the beach to be one of the best in the area.Response from Island Vacation Properties, LLC - 04/02/2013

The sand dollar was ideally located to beach and other amenities like publix . We rented a car so had easy access to all island facilities. The house was clean, comfortable and nicely furnished. Slow service for things that did not work properly like tv, elevator, and smoke alarm. It would have been nice to have had a roll of paper towels and several trash bags to begin our stay. Kitchen could have used more serving pieces. We had a college reunion of six sorority sisters and the house provided us with adequate space. Wonderful memories.

This house is beautiful. The pool was outstanding and very relaxing. We really loved it. However, one of the main reasons we chose this house was the elevator. Our eldest daughter had recently had major surgery and this vacation was centered around her resting and recovering. I specifically asked if the elevator was a working elevator and was assured it was. It did not work one full day the whole time we were there. Bob at Island Vacation Properties was wonderful to come out each day and try to fix it but it was very disappointing and very inconvenient in a three story house with a child who could barely climb stairs. Things happen, things break and we fully understand that but this was difficult. The rental company offered to move us but we had 8 people and didn't want that headache. They also did offer us a few extra days at the end of our stay but we had reservations for somewhere else for our second week. In the end we settled on a small refund and were very pleased that they did make it right. In the future, though, we will think long and hard about elevators in rental properties.

The home was lovely and very close to the beach and other shopping. Three couples shared this house and it worked out great. I would recommend this property but I hope that next time it would be cleaner. We have always been happy with the Island Vacation Properties service.

Nice house, very new, all there that is needed, nice garden and pool. Perfect for a family of 4 to 6. In house elevator available. No carpets, which for us was a very important aspect. Furniture overall a bit on the cheapy side (Ikea) but perfectly ok for our stay. Air conditioning in parents sleeping room too noisy and too strong, compared to other rooms. Big garage to park car inside.
In walking distance to beautiful beach. Publix shopping center 3 mins by car.
Definitely a place we would rent again.
Only thing we didn't like was that the barbecue grill was not cleaned on our arrival. It is not nice to see previous guests fish rests in a barbecue. This should be checked by the cleaning lady.Response from Island Vacation Properties, LLC - 11/04/2009
