We had a wonderful time at the Kona Coffee Cottage. Anything you could possibly need for your vacation is available: beach towels, snorkel gear, bbq, games, books, etc. Is it a fantastic value. The location is relatively near the beach while giving you a sense of being away from all the tourism. Only complaint: roosters that start crowing very early.

Bellingham, WAA wonderful way to start a rejuvenating vacation!
Left on 01/01/2013 for a stay in December 2012
This was our first stay in a round-the-island tour, and it was the perfect way to start our trip. This cottage is clean as a whistle, cozy, and has all the amenities of home, plus more! We were warmly welcomed and hosted by the owners who shared their place as if it were our home. We appreciated all the extra touches - snorkel equipment, boogie boards, towels, kitchen facilities, robes, and fresh coffee and other farm goodies grown right there. This spot is well-located for many adventures on the Kona side of the island. Our friendly hosts provided valuable tips that helped our whole vacation go well.

SeattleLovely vacation cottage in a garden full of flowers, coffee & fr

We really enjoyed the rural community. Located at a higher elevation than the beach, the climate is perfect, and is very confortable at night. Wonderful breezes, flowers and fruit trees. The beach is only a pleasant drive of 10 minutes. The cottage has beautiful hardwood floors in the living room & kitchen. The bedroom has a nice tile floor. The pool is great for cooling off during the day. Good wireless service. The television is good size with full assess to all 1,000+ chanels.

First of all - thank you for a great time!!!
We had a wonderful time at Mary Lou's and Chuck'S place. It is located very convenient, close to town, close to the beach and far enough from both of these (if you do need not all the rush 24/7).
The cottage is just wonderful - it is fully equipped with all the things you need for cooking, living, and relaxing. We could also use all the beach and pool gear - for snorkeling, beaching (towels, mats, cooler etc) and more.
At Cuppa Kona you are surrounded by alot of green, trees but also chickens or turkeys. And if the chickens are good, you get some eggs for breakfast from Chuck. Fruits, macadamia nuts and more can be picked and enjoyed. If you want Chuck will show you some of his old engines which he repaired by himself - very impressive.
We can recommend this place to really everybody - even with a one year old child. Max loved the place, the pool and the BBQ, which we used extensively! At Mary Lou's and Chuck's Cuppa Kona your vacation of Big Island will just be perfect. Thank you for a wonderful time!!!

Once you stay at this Cottage you'll never stay any where else. Both Chuck and Mary Lou are fun outgoing and very accommodating people and there Guest Cottage is by far the best place we have ever stayed.

Puyallup, WABest vacation ever!
Left on 07/30/2012 for a stay in December 2011
We spent a little over a week in the cottage. Me my husband and 2 daughters. It was perfect! So much fun walking through the gardens, feeding chickens, learning about coffee. My daughter actually ended up doing a report for school on coffee. Chuck and MaryLou gave us all kinds of advice on what to do and see. the best way to spend time in Hawaii and get a a very authentic feel of Kona. The cottage is very private and you fell l ike you are in your own home in paradise.. with a pool right outside the door. 10X better than any hotel!! It was absolutly perfect! cant wait to go back. we have also had friends stay here and they also cant wait to go back.
