Grand Haven, MichiganWhat a great surprise!

First time to alaska and Homer. Met with owner and what a delight. We had made the arrangements over the phone with him, with only the internet pictures and description. It was a wonderful visit and property. Loved the view, even had an eagle land on the roof and peeked over the side to stare at me and also I saw a humpback whale from the balcony. What a thrill for me. My husband caught the first halibut for their fishing contest, weighing in at over 150lbs. This gave him the thrill of his life and a smile I couldn't wipe off his face for months.
I'd go back to Homer in a minute and hopefully get the chance to stay here again.
P.S. What a beautiful art gallery downstairs from our condo. Of course I couldn't help but buy a few things. ; ) -

We have been to Homer several times over 15 years and have stayed at several places. We stayed at Sea Lion Cove for 6 nights. Was a great deal for the money. Wonderful view with easy access to beach. Unit is roomy with a Queen Bed, nice size bathroom and nice kitchen. They supply all that you need to cook. Refrigerator is a nice size. Gary did all he could to make our stay a pleasant one. We will definitely go back to Homer and to this place. Its not the Hyatt but neither is Homer like New York. If you like laid back, clean and very convenient with a million dollar view then the Sea Lion Cove is for you!

When my husband and I lived in aK, we spent many nights camping on the Homer Spit. This was the first time we visited with children, and we got to sleep on the Spit in a bed and take a shower in a private bath. We also had a microwave and minifridge available. The accommodations were very comfy and clean. It was easy to make reservations and the price was really good for Homer, especially for being right on the beach. We also appreciate the extra care the owners showed in making sure everything was just right for our stay. They even provided binoculars that we used to observe the bay as we beachcombed with our kids.

Broomfield, COClean, fresh, and the best deal on the Homer Spit.

If you know the Spit, you know it can be rough around the edges and over-priced, but the rooms at the Sea Lion Gallery are neither. The rooms are perfectly located in the center of everything, very clean and well-equipped, and if you want to sit on your elevated deck and look over the beach and have the best view on the Spit, this is the place. The place is a great value with a very accommodating Host and you will be hard pressed to find better. We are frequent travelers and are always glad when we find great quality at a fair price.

SeattleBest place to stay in Homer!

I have stayed at Sea Lion Cove on several occasions over the years and will continue to do so for several reasons. The boardwalk on which the the Sea Lion is located gives a breathtaking view of the mountains beyond Kachemak bay and is a supremely peaceful place to spend the night, or several nights for that matter. An excellent nights sleep is complemented nicely by an early morning cup of coffee on the private deck and the aforementioned amazing view. Another major plus is the very close proximity to the other boardwalk shops and the famous Homer small boat harbor! Wether or not you plan to fish the bay the location is great but if you are there to fish (which I also recommend) then Sea Lion Cove is hands-down the best place to stay in Homer! Lastly it is the only privately owned overnight accommodations that allow you to step directly off the boardwalk for some beautiful beachcombing where you are practically gauranteed to spot bald eagles, sea otters, seals and even the sea lions for which the cove is named.
