Description from the owner
The light filled Garden Studio is hidden away at the end of a courtyard garden. It was originally an artist's studio. A mural for the Queen Mary 2 was painted here in 2002.
The studio was converted in the spring of 2011. It is a modern and spacious room with high ceilings, a private shower room and a well equipped kitchen area. There is a comfortable king size bed and a sitting area with armchairs, tv and dvd player. A single bed can be added for a third adult or child (at additional cost) and a baby cot is available. The studio opens onto a small private terrace, ideal for taking breakfast or relaxing with a glass of wine in the evenin...Read more

HONFLEUR AND THE REGION
Honfleur is a pretty town on the Normandy Calvados coast, with the seaside resorts of Trouville and Deauville nearby. It’s a bustling little fishing port with a good selection of bars and restaurants to suit most people’s taste and pocket. Most are situated around the ‘Vieux Bassin’ - the old inland harbour of Honfleur - and the surrounding cobbled streets.
There is a superb market every Saturday selling seasonal fruIt and vegetables, local cheeses, oysters, country ham and free range poultry.
The accommodation is ideal as a base to visit the Normandy landing beaches, the lovely Pays d’Auge and even Monet’s Garden and the Abbey of Mont Saint Michel.

McLean, VA (USA)Beautiful Efficiency with Wonderful Host
Left on 07/07/2012 for a stay in May 2012
My wife and I (early 60s) stayed in Lynne's Studio 29 apartment in Honfleur for 5 days in May 2012. Lynne was a wonderful host; we now consider her a friend. She is fluent in English and French; provided excellent advice re restaurants, attractions, and driving in the Honfleur region. Studio 29 is a thoroughly-converted painter's studio accessed through a hallway in Lynne's building and then a beautifully-maintained flower-filled courtyard. The studio is a compact efficiency apartment -- small refrig, partial stove, microwave, sink, lots of kitchen implements, breakfast bar, skylights, comfortable Q bed, lots of lighting, elec heat, flat screen TV (French only), full bath with large shower. Breakfast is usually an extra-cost option for Studio 29, but, because we were staying for 5 nights, Lynne provided a delicious continental breakfast each morning, delivered to the studio at the time we requested. Lynne was warm and gracious; was on premises most of the time and available by phone at other times. We could access the studio via the keys Lynne provided. There is pay parking nearby (50-200 yards) -- a rarity in Honfleur. Excellent location -- next door to Honfleur's principal art museum + easy walk to Old Basin, to many restaurants/shops, and to the Saturday market. Lynne also offers a B&B; room upstairs in her building (did not see it). Strongly recommend Lynne as host and Studio 29 as a place to stay in Honfleur
