Ultra Cool APARTMENT SUITE at Western Market—MTR,Buses and Mini Bus and TRAM very close-by
Outside, there is plenty of outdoor space with a playground and public garden being just mere steps from the building’s entrance. Sometimes called the other side of Hong Kong, Sheung Wan still retains many of the pleasurable aspects of the Hong Kong of old. Sheung Wan is very pedestrian friendly with many pedestrian area only areas, businesses having storefronts at street level; with many welcoming art galleries and restaurants, boutiques and florists to explore and experience during one’s stay at the apartment. Sheung Wan has long been home to a mix of locals as well as international expats, visitors are always welcomed and warmly embraced, so a visit and stay at our apartment will truly be a unique and gratifying experience; one that you will never forget.
Sheung Wan is one of the oldest districts on Hong Kong Island and has retained some the architectural character of the past that harks back to the Old Chinese and British way of life on Hong Kong Island, retaining many of the old low rise buildings that are still in existence today; with a lot of these buildings still being home to traditional crafts and way of life that was prevalent among the citizens of Hong Kong a few generations back. This unique mix of old and new has given the area its unique character, with the area still home to traditional arts and crafts, old Chinese printers, antique shops and traditional restaurants now sitting next to a mix of international and local designers, new cafés, boutiques, art galleries and more all sharing space with some of the older more traditional aspects of a bygone era of Hong Kong’s history.
Being so ideally positioned, the apartment is well located for exploring the sights and sounds of all of Hong Kong with many of Hong Kong’s attractions located nearby. Historically, Sheung Wan is the site one of the earliest British settlements on Hong Kong Island, with the original occupation of Hong Kong Island by British forces back in 1842 taking place in nearby Possession Street, between Queen’s Road Central and Hollywood Road.
Sheung Wan has a rich historical background with many of the Hong Kong’s wonderful heritage sites located nearby. Historical sites such as the the Man Mo Temple at 124-126 Hollywood Road, the largest such temple on the island, the Ladder Streets, the Hollywood Road Park, the Central Market, the Dr Sun Yat-sen Museum, the Macao and Central Ferry Pier, the Hong Kong Museum of Medical Sciences and the Queen Street Rest Garden are all within easy reach from the apartment’s prime location. Even closer you will find cafes, bars and restaurants (local and international) as well as laundry services, grocery shopping, Wing On department store, drug stores etc

Canberra, AustraliaGood location and good value
Left on 01/11/2013 for a stay in November 2012
Our family had a 5 night stay here in November 2012. It was a good fit for our family of 5 (with 3 young children) - the apartment is fairly compact, but plenty of living area for a short stay. Although the nightly rate was considerably higher than the rate quoted on trip advisor (with no explanation for the difference), it was still much cheaper than most hotel options which would have required 2 separate rooms. It's a shame there's not an option for credit card payments, as the Paypal fees are quite high.
We had Marc arrange an airport transfer which worked well, and the 'greeter' at the apartment was friendly and helpful. The apartment has everything you should need for a short stay. We loved the location in a very traditional part of Hong Kong. Plenty of good eating and shopping options, and great pastries and real espresso nearby for mornings you don't feel up to congee or noodle soup! Lots of interesting sites within walking distance, and very easy to catch public transport. The apartment is also right next door to a small park with a little playground, which we used every day to help the kids burn off some energy. -

4 of us stayed in this apt. for about 8 nights last year. The outside of the building was under renovation, so we found it very unsafe the whole time because worker can climb thruoug the windows easily and we were unable to draw curtain, the bauthroom was dirty and the shower curtain was moldy. the toilet was unable to flush several times. The last nigjht of our stay, the aircondition broke and we were toasted. The building is very old and we were worried about fire hazzard all the time because the building across the road was on fire one night. Never again and the rent was not cheap either.

Left on 09/03/2012 for a stay in August 2012
The management is very very good. The terms are very clear. The rooms are not very big but clean and comfortable. The apartment is located on a commercial street that sells dried Fat products. Although the place is convenient and amenable to restaurants, and shops all around. The bedrooms are air conditioned and not noisy and kept the rooms cool. The kitchen is well provided, however it is small. The washing machine works.
The location is close to the metro. This was our first trip and Marc our contact was very easy to communicate with and provided information and hospitality that was commendable. We stayed for 3 days and it was very convenient to see Hong Kong. We would do it again. -

This bright little apartment was the right fit for our family of 4 on our first trip to Hong Kong. Located in Sheung Wan within walking distance of the end of the red line on Hong Kong Island, we found it easy to get around. The property manager who met us was very helpful. She answered all our questions, explained the keys and other features, showed us where to buy groceries and where to catch a cab. Banking faclities also were nearby. Over a wholesale market, the smell of fish and seafood was very strong on the ground, but not a problem in the apartment. I would highly recommend this apartment for families with 1 or 2 kids.

Left on 04/09/2012 for a stay in March 2012
We stayed in the flat for four nights and were completely satisfied with the experience. It's centrally located -- in Sheung Wan, walking distance to Central, easy taxi ride to airport Express, Star Ferry, Wanchai and other key areas -- and great for a small group if you want something with more personality than a hotel. Generally clean, quirky decor and a kitchen stocked w supplies - plates, glasses, coffee pot, rice cooker, water boiler, tea and coffee, etc. In the end, it was a better value than a nice hotel if you're not looking to spend a lot of money.
The booking and check-in process was very organized and smooth. One of the onsite managers, Gretchen, met us right away, introduced us to the flat, answered our questions on where is local coffee shop, market, liquor store, best place to get taxi, etc.
Things we wish were better: Nicer bedding, bigger bathroom, more towels (you can do wash but there isn't a dryer), but nothing that would prevent us staying here again.
We had 4-5 pax sleeping in the flat, which was fine. Four is ideal, just bc it is small and there is only one bathroom. It's not the most luxe -- e.g., cheap bedding, Ikea towels -- but perfectly fine. Would I stay here with friends again? Absolutely. Would I stay here for a romantic getaway? Eh. -

I traveled with two friends for a short stay in Hong Kong. The place was clean and looked just like the photos. The location was great for us. It was close to the heart of the city and there was a grocery and a Mc Donald's within walking distance (great for us silly americans missing a taste of home)!
Both the owner and his assistant were super nice and easy to deal with. I had never sent money overseas blindly and they both made it a painless experience to rent from them.
Everything was great including amenities, the welcome basket, and the bottle of wine that went with it. -

Peter was very efficient with regard to emails and information. Kam welcomed us warmly and we felt reassured that any problems would be dealt with promptly and fairly. We felt safe and the apartment was clean and comfortable. This is not a hotel so don't expect 5 star accommodation but if you want a bit of character and to be in the midst of the real Hong Kong then this fits the bill.

This older, small but functional apartment was exactly as advertised. Located very central, but make sure to take the owner's instructions of how to get there with you as not may taxi drivers can find it. The manager is helpful and everything you need is already there. Great savings compared to the Shama or JIa serviced apartments, although of course those apartments would be more modern and luxurious.

We had a great stay in Hong Kong/Sheung Wan. The apartment is huge, especially the living area, bright and open (Something you don't find often in Hong Kong) We were 4 adults but the apartment would be ok with up to 6 or 8 people. Everything was clean and very practical, incuding free internet and a desk for my computer.
The price was absolutely resonable, if not cheap.
The location is very good: Shops, post office, banks and restaurants are very close, MTR and Tram are less that 5 minutes away, as Hollywood Road and the temple are.
The unit looks like on the pictures - modern, practical and inspiring. It would be good if you travel with kids as the living room has open space for them, a PS3 with huge TV and a lovely playground downstairs. I even saw a crib which I am sure you can use for free.
We had a perfectly warm welcome. The host arranged transfer and was waiting for us at the airport. Otherwise, he told us, he would be waiting at the apartment.
I can absolutely recommend this apartment - we felt like at home instantly. It couldn't have been better.
