Fort St John, B.C. CanadaAffordable and convenient family accomodation
Left on 04/17/2012 for a stay in April 2012
Payment and check in/out of condo was simple and convenient. Location of condo was great--only 3 blocks from major shopping center and beautiful beaches within walking distance. Pool area bit disappointing in size.
Kitchen was fully equipment with dishes and appliances. Lots of towels available for bathing but need to provide more kitchen towels. Missed not having a bathroom fan or stove fan. Lighting generally poor in condo. Would've preferred fitted sheets on bed since they were oversized and rarely stayed on the bed at night. Condo ideally suited for 2 people. Bit crowded for 4. View from balcony wonderful. -

The room was very nice with good sized and well equipped kitchen. Nice bathroom, lots of towels, and very comfy beds. Roomy. Nioe view of marina and convenient location. You can get free 6 hour parking nearby and cheap overnight parking. Hotel charges $25;day. Pool small and deep but nice enough. Coffee shop and small convenience store in the building. Coffee shop offers cheap refills. Near restaurants and small grocery store and very large mall. Public transit nearby. Next to little lagoon. Door lock very convenient as no need for keys. Ok for up to 5 people. Off the main waikiki area which is a positive. Easy enough to get there if you want to,
When we entered, the room was way too cold, so,although it says not to, we tried to adjust temperature. Unable to, so just turned it off and kept balcony doors open. Was never able to get air conditioning working again so nights were hot. Wieless did not work so had to use wired. Room a little dusty and carpets under bed not vacuumed for long time. Wish it had a small brush type vacuum so we could have cleaned up a bit after ourselves.
We would come back to this suite. -

Great location! We walked everywhere, ...to the beach, shopping, the mall, and great restaurants. The check-in process is fantastically simple. We are a family of four so the two comfortable double beds were great! We would stay here again if we returned to Honolulu!

the room is very comfortable with all amenities. However the shower was inadequate - you had to run around in it to get wet! Other wise OK. I found the wide screen TV had to watch as it distorted the picture!

Vancouver, CanadaAlright Condo
Left on 11/10/2011 for a stay in October 2011
Overall, a nice stay in this condo.
I had to shorten my review, omitting alot of positive things because of flipkeys word limit.
The patio furniture were not as pictured on website.
Pictured are oversized wicker chairs with cushioned pillows that look comfortable. They have been replaced with metal/glass/hard-mesh chairs. Disappointing, as we spent almost every morning and evening out on the patio at least an hour.
The beds are very comfortable. And the Duvets are really thick, heavy and hot! We had plenty of sheets/blankets and pillows for the 2 of us.
The room is very cold. Even when you change the temperature, it doesn't change.
The patio doors are connected to the air conditioner. If you open the patio doors longer than x amount of minutes, it shuts off the air conditioner. When you close the patio doors, it's supposed to turn the air-conditioner on again.
It didn't turn back on for us.
The first night we found out the hard way -- a horrible hot restless sleep, wondering why it was so hot in the condo.
The next morning, we phoned the onsite manager and they had to call an "Engineer". The Engineer came in, took the remote, and clicked it on. Fixed. The remote has written on it "do not change" or something like that. Had we known that, we could have just done it ourselves, rather than have a horrible restless hot sleep.
For a condo that's been recently remodeled in only the past couple years, it's already showing alot of wear and tear from previous guests -- stains, scuffs, discolorations on the walls, furniture, chairs and carpet throughout. Even though the place is "clean", it doesn't look clean because of all the stains, especially in the kitchen.
It's too bad the suite doesn't have tile or hardwood floors. The carpet noticeably retains alot of dust, you'll notice it on the darker furniture.
For people who like really clean places, I would probably not recommend this unit. For families, it would be great. -

This was our second stay at the Ilikai Condo 1927. The view from the large windows is breathtaking and really brings home why we keep coming back to Hawaii and the Ilikai condos. The decor is just right and feeels like our very own holiday home. Everything is within walking distance and the beach is right out the front. The owner provides little extras which make our stay more comfortable. This is truely a special place and we can't wait to return.

Ilikai Condo #1927 was very well kept and has everything that we needed. The location is very near the beautiful beach right at Hilton and the ala Moana shopping mall is within walking distance. The view of the Ocean was magnificent. Most of all, we received very good service from Jim who came to help us solve our parking problem on our arrival. When I return to Honolulu, I will look for Ilikai for my accommodation.

This condo has an updated kitchen with a nice big fridge. There is a nice flat screen TV that we played Xbox on in between activities and when we needed to get out of the sun (we brought the Xbox). The beds/bedding were very comfortable. The unit is on the marina side of the building so it is quiet. No road noise really makes it up to the lanai. The only issue we had was a slight smoke smell that occassionally came out of the bathroom vent.

Mark was great in the information provided, everything was reserved and booked without a hitch. The Ilikai is a nice hotel next door to the Hilton Hawaiian Village and has access to their beach and lagoon! This is located at the ala Moana end of Waikiki, nice and quiet. The unit was very clean with upscale furnishings and a great view! The air conditioner was especially cool! Beds were very comfortable, flat screen TV high quality, everything top notch. The only things I'd improve upon would be the amount of storage available (no dresser or drawers), but putting our clothing on the shelving was adequate for us. Thanks Mark!

This condo is very conviniently located, close to Hilton Village and its ammenities. Sun doesn't heat it very much, so we could even sometimes switch the airconditioning off. 19th floor provided a quiteness and a good view. Kitchen is very well equipped. The hotel itself is nice and clean. Good place for a romantic vacation.

Left on 09/27/2010 for a stay in September 2010
The unit is nicely updated and more important for us very clean. Mark was very prompt and helpful assisting us with all the questions we had. I highly recommended this apartment to all my friends. The location - right next to Hilton Hawaiian Village and the view overlooking the Marina are perfect. We stayed with our two kids and we all enjoyed the studio. The beds are very comfortable, the big TV is great and the aC proved very useful although we did not leave it on during the nights, it was not too hot.
The building's pool is not really kids friendly so our 4 year old could not reach the bottom anywhere. The pool lady is a very interesting character but rude, she told us that inflatables are not allowed despite the rules posted on the wall which clearly indicated that inflatables that are not dangerous for other people are OK. My husband talked to the manager who allowed us a small floating ring. This was a very small incident really not important in the overall picture, I am just warning other parents with small kids out there.
Overall our staying in unit 1927 was a very pleasant one and I am sure we will stay there again.

This was our second stay in this apartment. Whilst Ilikai has many apartments, many are in need of renovation. 1927 has only recently been renovated to a very high standard. It has twin beds, and a great view of the 4th July fireworks over magic island. Overall 8/10 for this apartment. Well worth the cost of entry.

This was our 5th trip to hawaii and the second time with aloha condos. The Condo was beautifull though we had an issue with the aC, it was remedied fairly quickly though.
The safe did not work. The view and condo itself was wonderfull. Too much noise from the construction which has gone on for years there. When it is done this will be a paradise to stay at. We definatlely would stay again, Mahalo! -

Although we could only stay 4 days as we were getting a cruise back to
Vancouver we would have stayed a lot longer. On walking in to the Condo
it was the first time we have been greeted by a bottle of wine and a
beach bag. We have stayed several times before at the Ilikai and this
was the best. Everything for the kitchen and the beach was waiting for
us. Thanks to Mark for his initial phone call as it was all that he said

Left on 09/26/2009 for a stay in September 2009
Proximity to the pool, lagoon, beach, buses & Ala Moana Shopping Centre, Hilton Hawaiian Village fireworks as well great bars and restaurants made this quiet condo ideally located. Its location in the building is also good - great marina outlook, close to lift lobby, laundry and refuse areas. Excellent and responsive on site property management. Only drawback - no drawers at all, except for narrow one in the bedside centre table and those in the kitchen. There is no baggage storage at the Ilikai. For early morning arrivals into Honolulu this can be a problem as entry to the condo on the commencement date is 3pm.

Left on 09/03/2009 for a stay in August 2009
We stayed at the condo for 3 nights. It was exactly as I expected, based on the Aloha Condos information on the internet. The condo was just like a home away from home; right down to the decor! Loved it!! I even made scones for breakfast...good thing you had cookie sheets available. I would have preferred a bit more storage space (a dresser?) and hooks in the bathroom but for the 3 nights, storage wasn't a problem. I kept the clothes in the suitcases. It might be more of an issue if there were more than 2 people staying in the unit. The view was amazing. We much prefer this location over the busy/noisy Waikiki area. We stayed at a hotel "in the action" the week prior but much preferred the condo. location - enjoyed the quiet beach side by the Hilton, loved going for a 15min walk to the restaurants, shops of Waikiki but then coming home to quiet. Parking was a great deal as well! And, thank you for the internet service; it was extremely valuable to us. I have already recommended this condo.to others! Thank you so much for creating such a wonderful space for us to relax in. The lanai was well done and very comfortable. Good amount of space. Hope to be back soon.

My son and I really enjoyed our stay at Iliaki 1927. The condo was very nice, modern, clean and suited our needs perfectly, all the comforts of home. The open floor plan made the unit actually seem larger. The bathroom was nice and much larger than we anticipated.
The view from this condo is awesome anytime of the day. In the mornings we could see the mist from the mountains, and the rainbows over the ocean. Many times we saw a number of sailboats. We watched the sun set and the enjoyed the nightly conk shell ceremony and lighting of the torches. The lights at night, from the mountains and the city were like twinkling candles. From the distance we could see flights coming and going from Honolulu airport.
The location of this condo is another inviting feature. Many activities are within walking distance, the bus and trolley are also easily accessed. The beach is right behind the building and is easily accessed by the walkway. We enjoyed our early morning walks down the beach, and again at night to select a different beach front restaurant.
The owner of this condo was excellent to work with. We hope to return one day!

What a fabulous place to stay! Mark's unit was clean and modern, with every
convenience. A great view and good value for money. Twin beds worked well
because she says I wriggle too much! So it was a real holiday for her!
Immediately booked it again for next year as soon as we got home. Have
stayed in five different apartments in Ilikai and this was definitely the best with
real thought going into the refurbishment.
Can thoroughly recommend it.

This apartment is perfectly located with bus service at the door and at the foot of Waikiki Beach.
The space has been totally renovated with two beds so I could share it with a friend and has an incredible view of the marina and sunsets.
The only drawbacks relate to drawer space for longer stays.
I would certainly recommend it to my friends and would return myself in a heartbeat!

Left on 05/19/2009 for a stay in March 2009
We spent a week in Waikiki and loved it. This was the very first time we stayed in a vacation rental. The owner was very accommodating and replied back to our questions very quickly. Prior to arrival we were very nervous of what the rental would be like. We did not know what to expect. When we arrived, the condo was exceptionally clean and larger than expected. The furnishings were all new and the kitchen was supplied with all we needed. It was nicely remodeled and equivalent to a four star hotel room. The view was absolutely gorgeous. We were just mesmerized by the view. The convenience of the keyless lock was terrific. The location was good, next to the Hilton and the lagoon. We parked behind the hotel at the marina with in and out privileges and saved $15 a day.
The only down side of staying in a condo vs. a hotel is it doesn?t have maid service. You do not receive a fresh set of towels everyday nor does someone come to vacuum or clean up. And that?s the last thing you want to do on vacation is clean up everyday. But for the price of the condo rental we had to compromise. There is no way we could have found a four star hotel room with a fully stocked kitchen and a beautiful view for the price. We definitely recommend this condo and would stay there again.

Our vacation in Hawaii was amazing. The vacation unit that we had was beautiful. It was newly renovated the year before and had everything you could want and was very clean and modern. The view from the room was also amazing. We would sit out on the Lanai quite often just to look at the view. It is also within walking distance to many places and if we needed to take the bus we only had to go just out to the front of the building to catch it. I would defiantly go back again.
