The Ilikai is located at the Waikiki Beach gateway and overlooks the Ala Wai Yacht Harbor. It is minutes from downtown Honolulu and one block from the Hawaii Convention Center and the Ala Moana Shopping Center. The Ilikai is an internationally-recognized hotel as the famous opening shot of Hawaii Five-O was filmed here. The open-air lobby and relaxing courtyard leads you on a pathway to the beach. The staff at Canoe's Restaurant and Bar greets you as you enter the courtyard as they share the Aloha spirit. United StatesA place for people who can sleep anywhere on anything
Left on 02/26/2013 for a stay in February 2013
Because I could compare this to other suites I feel that I can give my opinion
1 a lousy bed for anyone to sleep in - go to Costco and invest in their $700 mattress
2 other units - for the same price- had unlimited calling to Canada and U S - we didn't even have a phone that worked
3 fix your ceiling in the bathroom as well as get a new sink that let's you drain
Also the dividers separating the bedroom were very dusty
before we opened the the glass doors to the deck
Could I also suggest telling people they need to supply their own soap and toilet paper if I had known I would have brought two rolls from home
Maybe buy a new set of cutlery. I have camping cutlery I could have donated if I'd known we needed some
I would only recommend if I'd know the place was updated. Especially with a new bed -

Location at the marina end of Waikiki is very convenient. The room was clean, although in need of renovation. There were no issues with service.

United StatesMy stay in room 611
Left on 11/23/2012 for a stay in November 2012
The bathroom was moldy. The ceiling was peeling. We never got clean towels. Had to constantly wash our own. Beds very lumpy and uncomfortable. Hotel Conseierge didn't want to help us make reservations for excursions because we weren't guests of the hotel. But the price was right.

United StatesGreat way to visit Honolulu
Left on 10/28/2012 for a stay in October 2012
Near to shopping and tourist attractions in a very convenient building. Only complaint is that the owners should get a plumber to go and fix the toilet which makes a very loud and annoying whistling noise (we had to turn the water off at the toilet after each flush to avoid this).

United StatesBest deal so far in ten years!
Left on 08/25/2012 for a stay in August 2012
I'm a 1st timer with this company, they had some rooms with nice views so I decided to try them out, I got booked at the ilikai hotel, I was willing to pay a little extra to have a spacious comfy room, I've stayed in over 20 hotels just in Waikiki in 15 years! Well for just a few hundred a night ( mind you I'm wanting a bigger room than the standard $225 room at Hilton Hawaiian village or somewhere of that nature ) whitch are nice property's don't get me wrong! But you get a standard shoe box room in most cases with no personality etc, mind you the Hilton and a few others have nice pools ext, but my main concern when booking rooms, is comfort and to feel relaxed and not clostriphobic, like 80% of the places I've been too in Honolulu! Well I was so surprised once I walked into the room! It was Huge!!!! Beautiful , the view was stunning, over looking alamoana harbor and the lagoon!!! Mind you I'm only on the 14th floor!!! 2 bedroom, 2 full baths, an amazing living room and kitchen, oven, dishwasher, even the cubards were stocked with all you need, plates, silverwear, a blender, microwave, basically everything you need to do whatever you please, me personally love to cook and i saved allmost half my budget having the option to cook in the room instead of eating out or spending a ton on room service!!! Very smart in my opinion! I Highly recommend this company, as for the price you pay, you get alot more! The pool at the ilikai may not be as fancy as the Hilton or wherever but this is Waikiki! You can just walk into any pool really! Lol it's just a pool! The ilikai had a decent pool , just without the bells and whistles like a few other hotels, but really, no you need water slides and a million kids in the pool? I certainly don't, and if you like that just walk less than 100 yards to your voice of overcrowded loud pools! I will deff be back next year! A truly great stay! Thank you Hawaiian paradise retreats!!! See you next year! Aloha :-)

,A new finding
Left on 09/04/2011 for a stay in July 2011
It's been a while since I last rented a city view. I was worried that the scenery would be dull and boring but I found it to be very exciting. You can witness the liveliness of the city. The bar across the street, the people out on the streets and the
construction workers trying to make Oahu a better place. Of course, it is nice and quiet at night and in the mornings. It's a whole new experience for me and I enjoyed it very much. -

The sliding glass door was extremely difficult to open. The 6'2" 200+ lbs. security guard had to apply force to open /close the glass door. We ended up keeping the door ajar. No one came in to empty the trash during our entire stay there.

When our arrival was there, we were both shocked to see that it had not been cleaned from the previous renters. We would definately stay here again and it was a great location aand all of the staff were extremely helpful.
