If you are on a budget this type of rental (a private condo) can be a good deal. Unfortunately even though I had a written confirmation - they had double-booked unit - so they put me in different unit. Bedding had not been changed yet and there were some bugs.
On the positive side - the location was great - blocks from beaches right in Waikiki.
Carl (owner) did his best to make me happy and offered a free night anytime I return - just not the cleanest room. -

Great room! Short walk to all shopping and dining, very close to the beach. The room
has everything you would need for a longer stay, the kitchen is a great money saver,
very clean and comfortable size. Definitely planning on coming back here!
