MinnesotaWill always use Thomas Edwards for my travel to Oahu
Left on 11/29/2012 for a stay in October 2012
I had a family emergency on Oahu and had a week to find a place. This was my first time using Flip Key.I knew where I needed to be and what I was looking for; I found that rental with Thomas Edwards. He not only replied back to me in a timely manner, he was patience with my questions and was very comforting. He not only had a great condo for me to rent but also worked with another rental condo in the same building complex so I could be able to have the three weeks of time I needed. The units had a seperate bedroom, full kitchen and living room. Even though I was there for a family medical reason, the beach was just, down the street.Which was great because I took my family memeber on walks to the beach so she could get some phsyical therapy in as it was needed. The condos were so clean and had all the necessities I would require from being away from home. The Banyan had a rec deck with a good size pool, two hot tubs, putting green, tennis court and many BBQ cookers with nice tables and siitting areas. One of the other issues I had was a location for easy access to driving and a parking garage the Banyan also had that.I am a female and travling alone.I knew from growing up on Oahu The Banyan was a safe place to stay.I was not let down with my stay:The owner is at the top of my list ( my list is that of one rental condo owner now ) to work with again. His condo had the view of Diamond Head there in front of my lani, and look to the right there was the ocean. These scenic moments gave me a chance to dift off in to the beauty of Hawaii and take my mind off the medical issue at hand.I can keep going on about how great it was to work with Thomas and the condos I rented from him.The next time I head back to see my family, Thomas and The Banyan will see me again.

Half Moon Bay, CaliforniaComfort, convenience and free parking for a great price!
Left on 09/14/2012 for a stay in August 2012
Spacious condo, comfortabe bed, great kitchen, close to beach, shops and restaurantsl for a low price and no cleaning fee! For less than the price of a room in a local hotel, you get free parking and WiFi and a kitchen so you don't have to eat out for every meal - that gets expensive. The advantage of free parking in Waikiki cannot be overstated. There is almost no on-street parking, and it is all metered. We stayed in Thomas Edwards' condo on the 12th floor of Tower 1, close to the elevator which takes you conveniently to the lobby or to the parking garage - it is never a long walk to the car. It is a very short walk to Waikiki beach or to an assortment of restaurants and shops. We were only in Waikiki for three days, so I didn't do much cooking, but I looked through the drawers and cabinets and was very impressed with how well-equipped the kitchen was for just about anything you might want to cook - there is an excellent assortment of pots, pans, utensils and cooking implements. The best collection of kitchen utensils I've ever seen in any rental condo. I can't speak for Thomas's other two 1-br condos at the Waikiki Banyan, but #1206 had a great kitchen! The queen-size bed was very comfortable and there were plenty of extra pillows in the closet to choose from, plus extra sheets and lots of towels. The living room was spacious with nice furniture. The walls must be very well insulated because we never heard the elevators next to us, or any noise from neighbors. The view from our unit was mostly of other tall buildings nearby, but from the lanai you could look down the street to the ocean where we could watch surfers and canoe races, or look north to see the hills above Honolulu. At night we liked to turn off the air conditioner and open the bedroom window to enjoy the balmy island air. We were very pleased with the condo, and would not hesitate to stay in one of Thomas Edwards' condos again!

Windsor, CanadaExcellent Location ,Top Notch Value and Superb Owner
Left on 09/03/2012 for a stay in August 2012
The condo was a fantastic value which included free parking and high speed internet . The unit has been well maintained and updated. The Owner Thomas Edwards emailed me the instructions on how to contact him once we arrived at the airport and then when I did call he gave me the full details on how to get into the unit and that the payment would not even be needed until the next day which went very smooth. Later in the week he called me and told me that a brand new couch was being delivered and was it ok if they switched it and of course I said absolutely. He actually acted as if I was the owner of the unit which I thought was outstanding. The unit was only two blocks from the beach and walking distance to all the shops and restaurants. I was able to take surfing lessons from the next door Marriott Beach Resort with Kai Sallas Pro Surf School and that was very cool. We had a rental car and we put over 500 miles driving it all over the island in which we snorkeled Hanauma Bay and Sharks Cove on the North Shore two times. We hiked to the top of Diamond Head and drove to the top of Mount Tantalus. We swam at crowded Waikiki Beach, beautiful windward Kailua Bay beach park but the absolute best beach on the whole island is the tropical postcard Waimanalo Bay State Rec area which is just as pictureque as Lanikai Beach but 10 times bigger and very uncrowded compared to Waikiki and tons of parking in a natural wooded area. (to be safe do not leave anything valuable in your rental car or even trunk just take what you need and even just leave windows down and car open to make your car less of a potential target) we had no issues but I read lots of posts and did just that and had a great vacation. We did so many other things that filled our 8 days to the max. This was a awesome experience and great place to stay.

Christchurch New ZealandWonderful stay in Waikiki
Left on 08/22/2012 for a stay in August 2012
We stayed at the above property for 13 nights. It had everything we required and more. The condo was spotless and very well maintained. Had a new sofa delivered 4 days into our stay. The photos are a true reflection of this condo.Had a good view of the beach and also Diamond Head. I have found Thomas very helpful when booking and also emailed him quite a few times with various questions regarding things to do etc and he went out of his way to find out the information for me and replied within 12 hours. Everything you require is within easy walking distance. It is 5 mins walk to Waikiki Beach, 3 mins to the bus stop. The No 42, 19 or 8 bus leave from this stop that takes you to the ala Moana Shopping Centre which is a must see. I would have no hesitation in recommending this property and we look forward to staying there again next time we visit Waikiki.

We (2 adults and 10 year old child) stayed 3 nights in one bedroom unit on the 29th floor of Waikiki Banyan.
The owner is Thomas Edwards. He was great with communicating the details and rate for the unit. He gave us detailed instructions for accessing the unit, parking etc.
Our unit was clean and modern, and had a superb view of Diamond Head, lower floor units would not.
The building is about a block from Waikiki Beach. There is a reasonably priced (for the area) coffee shop and convenience store on the ground floor.
I very much appreciated that the price of this unit included parking and cleaning. I think it is very shady to advertise a low price to get sorted to the top of a list, only to hide $15/day parking and $50 for cleaning. Other owners should take a lesson from Mr Edwards on this.
Overall I rate this unit as a clean, safe and well located choice.

I believe we have been dealing with Thomas for at least 15 years. Thomas always provides a level of hospitality well beyond expectation. We have seen the continued upgrad of the condo evolve. He picks up on suggests of needs and the next year it has been done. We love the wonderful view of Diamond Head and the ocean every time we open the drapes. Sitting on the lanai and just "hanging out" is renewing. Being two blocks from Kalakau ios appreciated since we do not get all the traffic noise. All is super clean and inviting. Swimming pool is great and the use of Bbque cookers is terrific. We were just notified that new sofas would be added this summer by the time we arrive formour annual six week stay. If we had to stay in the space and not have the ability to go to the beach, we wouold survive with the views afforded from the lanai. Easy access to the bus, which we pretty much rely on, is wonderful. Accessability to restaurants, shopping and just space to walk and relax at the park and beach is beyond measure. I can't think of anything we do not care about and there is not enough space to tell what all we like best. We look forward to many more years with Thomas Edwards.

I have travelled to Honolulu many times, but usually stay with relatives. This is the first time I rented a condo and it was even better in person than pictured. The view was spectacular, the kitchen and bath very nicely done and new. It was roomier than expected including the livingroom and bedroom. It was very clean and included everything promised - internet connection, free phone local and long distance, and parking pass for garage under condo. The owner/host was very tolerant of some unexpected changes in my travel plans and made me feel very welcome. I would not hesitate to recommend this to others and return again.

We loved our stay at the condo. It is in super condition, nice looking and comfortable. Everything that you need is there, and you are in a perfect location on the far end of Waikiki. Close to everything but yet calm. You have a great view of both Diamond Head, the mountains and the ocean from the balcony.
The owner Thomas was very helpful and welcoming, we would definitely stay here again if we get the chance!
