Roscoe, IL, United StatesRecommend new furniture
Left on 05/01/2013 for a stay in April 2013
The location is perfect! Your in paradise so being close to beach is a ++++. PICTURES DOES NOT SHOW AGE! The condo itself views are basically all street so can be noisy. The furniture is cloth and extremely dirty! The curtains are horrible. Some pride needs to be taken in this place. Had to put sheet on couch because everyone, even young kids, were refussing to sit on it. The throw rug in living room was so dirty that when we walked on it barefoot our feet were black with least wash all material and throw rug if you dont want to invest in new furnishings. Location great so find another unit in Ilikai and you will be completely in paradise.

Roscoe, IL, United StatesIlikai is great location
Left on 04/25/2013 for a stay in April 2013
Ilikai was a great location. We enjoyed being so close to the ocean and Hilton. It is an older building so make sure the pictures are true with room you choose. Our stay in 925 was example of pictures better then actual look of room. Very good size but the furniture was so dirty and stained we had to lay sheets over in order to sit. Forget sleeper sofa as its so dirty. Made room a true 4 person condo not 6. Brokerage. Company was difficult to deal with and to long to explain but I would deal with owner condos only in future. Very unprofessional broker.

Left on 03/28/2013 for a stay in March 2013
We thouroughly enjoyed our stay at the Ilikai 925, it was in a great location, walking distance to everywhere we needed to go, the condo was clean and everything seemed to be in good working order.
The views of Waikiki and Honolulu were amazing with all of the windows, it was a great stay and it comes highly recommeded by us to anyone looking for a great, comfortable stay in Honolulu.
Mahalo for the hospitality! -
United StatesOWNER NEEDS TO UPDATE
Left on 03/05/2013 for a stay in March 2013
The curtains did not open and close(drapes) The is no plug in the tub. We had to stuff a towel in to stop the water. The toilets had issues. The TVs are old box ones, not big flat screens. Bathroom sink drain tarnished/rusty. Pans were old like camping pans. The ice maker leaked water and didn't work, and the dishwasher was not anchored to the countertop,so when you put the dishes in, the weight of the open door would tip the dishwasher toward you. A little money put in would make this a pleasant place.

Left on 02/03/2013 for a stay in February 2013
Two of us stated at condo 925, for three weeks, the carpet and sofa were very
soiled and needed a good cleaning, the kitchen needs updating and was
poorly stocked.
We did like the location, and the pool service we enjoyed -

We had a great time and the unit was very central to all the shops and beaches and was very secure. There were little maintenace issues which could be addressed. The dishwasher did not work properly, the tap in the main shower fell off, the remote control did not operate the tv channels and light globes were blown. The plug for the sink was perished which made doing dishes difficult. Like I say, these are just small issues which I am sure could be fixed quickly and easily. Had a wonderful time, thank-you.

United StatesCondo #925
Left on 11/27/2012 for a stay in November 2012
The overall property was pretty dated. The cabinets were worn and some didn't close all the way. The drapes wouldn't close so in the early morning there was too much light. Sofa bed could use a new mattress.
We did like the location and having the trolley pick up in front is a plus. The lobby and back area were really nice. Close to the beach and lagoon. -

The unit was clean, but very dated. When we arrived, found that faucet in bathroom were broken and handle in shower was not working. Called the same day, but problem was not fixed til next afternoon. Unit is on the street side of property with virtually no ocean view. Unit was "stuffy" without air conditioner running all the time. You could open sliding glass doors, but drapes don't seem to open so they flap in and out with the breeze. Would not recommend this unit, since owner obviously does not care about the comfort of his guests.

Left on 08/17/2012 for a stay in August 2012
We took 3 apartments in the Illikai. This 2 bed for our son & his family. Bathroom tap and shower didn't work. The curtains didn't close letting in light and heat. AC fickle and inefficient, the room divider missing many slats affording no privacy,1 balcony door with no lock could be opened by a child and had to be tied up, the other was barely able to be opened. Shelves in 2nd bedroom not attached properly & collapsed on child. The level of maintainence in this apartment was appalling, the shame is it's a nice place if only someone bothered to do something.

Left on 07/26/2012 for a stay in July 2012
It was very spacious and the kitchen was very clean. In the bedroom, the shower control knob seemed to be broken and the hot water knob in the bathroom sink also did not work. The A/C had a mildew smell. The guest bathroom sink drain seemed to be clogged because water drained slowly. The ironing board was missing and was delivered the next day. The slats on the sliding doors came off easily. The sliding doors did not lock.

United StatesDO NOT STAY in Ilikai #925
Left on 05/13/2012 for a stay in May 2012
From the moment we walked in I knew I'd made a mistake! There was a picture with shattered glass hanging by the door. The microwave handle was broken, kitchen cabinets dirty, couch stained, rug stained etc! The shower in the master bathroom still had water/soap scum on the doors and the water pressure was non-existent. The master bed was so uncomfortable that I was glad to come home to my 11 year old mattress! I had to fight to open or close the curtains and they frequently came off of the hooks. I could go on but don't have enough space! One word sums it up...AWFUL!!!

United StatesWasn't what we reserved, but it was an upgrade.
Left on 02/13/2012 for a stay in January 2012
Last minute resort address change. It was an upgrade but we had to incurr $25/day parking charges which was the reason we booked the other place as it included parking. It was a good upgrade for the price we got it for, but I don't feel it was worth the advertised rate.

United StatesNot worth it!
Left on 01/13/2012 for a stay in December 2011
The sheets on the pullout were dirty (had sand in them). The master bed was extremely uncomfortable. The toilet was slow, we had to use the plunger conveniently located next to it. The master shower had very low pressure. The couch was stained and I didn't even want to sit on it. I had to buy toilet paper, not a problem, had I known! There were no beach towels, we had to wash towels mid stay. THe location was great, but I felt like we were staying at a low rate place, rather than a $400/night condo.

Very nice. Please fix the ice maker. Should have ice available upon arrive (empty). When connected, it made frozen ice down the door, so we turned off. The modem for the internet was mis-connected (took a bit to get that resolved). Could not connect to the DVD. Think missing some connection. Otherwise, very good experience and enjoyed our stay. Thank you. Mahalo.

United StatesNeed a lot of TLC
Left on 11/15/2011 for a stay in November 2011
Pros:
1. Close to the beach.
2. Condo is in a corner of the building, so no neighbors on one side.
3. Partial ocean view from one of the lanai.
4. Tanning mats and boogie boards provided (probably by other guests who didn't want to carry that home)
Cons:
1. Both balconies' (lanai) railing has 6 inches between balusters, which makes it very unsafe for little kids because they can fit between balusters and fall off the balcony.
2. Both AC units do not have pans under them for water collection, so water pours on the balcony floor and off lanai.
3. Refrigerator's ice maker does not work.
4. Water filter, installed on the faucet, does not work.
5. Dishwasher is not secured in place, it leans forward when loaded.
6. Dishwasher does not dispense dishwasher soap during its cycle, so your dishes get a hot shower instead of a wash with soap.
7. Thick layer of dust under beds and on top of furniture
8. Both TVs are CRTs. A little outdated.
9. All furniture is very old and is falling apart (especially lamps)
10. No instructions anywhere about anything
11. No wireless internet. They have a DSL cable modem with a 3 feet long cord. The only reason I even found internet is because I know how DSL modem looks like (it was unplugged and sitting on the kitchen counter) again, no instructions on that anywhere.
General feeling is that the owners do not really care for the tenants after they got their money. There was no information about anything, pool, parking, events, things inside the condo.
This condo desperately needs repairs, maintenance, and upgrades to be acceptable. Until that is done, I would not recommend anyone staying at Ilikai 925 -

Left on 04/10/2011 for a stay in April 2011
We were pleased with the condo for the most part. I have a couple of complaints. When we arrived on Saturday. We called the number we were given from the rental company. We spoke to someone who gave us the code to open the door, but that was the only contact we had with them. There was nothing in the condo or on any information we received that gave any rules or specifics about the place. For example; we didn't know until we got there that the resort only had valet parking. We were also told we couldn't use the main pool, we could only use the smaller pool. It was just frustrating to not know these things in advance.

We loved our stay; the only complaint I had was the construction going on next door. It didn't bother us too much, we woke up early morning so we didn't waste any time! It was wonderful and I would stay & recommend it to friends/family.

Noisy construction next door; one out of 2 pools closed, elevators not all working. Only parking is $20/day valet. Property manager late in giving us the key and never brought promised paper goods. Curtains didn't close, rug dirty, kitchen cabinets sticky. Positives: good location and size of condo (2 BR/BA, full kitchen).
