      Hawaiian Paradise Retreats

Left on 05/13/2013 for a stay in May 2013

I've used Hawaiian Paradise Retreats in the past and Suzanne Shuto and her staff have been instrumental in getting my last minute bookings and have been simply wonderful to work with.

      Little room on Waikiki

Left on 04/16/2013 for a stay in April 2013

The saying is true, you get what you pay for! The price was wonderful on this rental but there was basic maintenance that was lacking for a Hawaiian location. The shower curtain was moldy at the bottom and the ventilation fan in the bathroom was overly clogged and not working. Basic amenities were provided by condo owner, overall was and ok place to stay.

      Never Again!

Left on 02/25/2013 for a stay in January 2013

Desk drawer was held by chair to keep it closed, otherwise it would just slide open.
Carpet was dirty. Smelled like feet.
Worst of all, no $200 "refundable" security deposit returned or credited back! Never again!

      Money Talks

Left on 11/05/2012 for a stay in October 2012

Would recommend with reservations. I already knew what to expect as far as the room goes because I have stayed at the hotel before. However, most of the problems came from the room being a "condo" rental instead of a hotel room.
I try to never rent a room without free interent, and I expect the internet speed to be somewhat up to date because I need to log into my office on the mainland. The internet connection in the room was extremely slow causing a lot of frustration.
If I wanted to use the dishes, I would have had to wash them in the bathroom sink, NOT an option for me, or figure out how to get them clean in the bathtub. Not an option either.
No utensils with which to cook or eat. Fortunately I brought my fork, knife and spoon in case of emergency, so I could eat my micro wave meal without making a phone call and hoping that a knife and and fork would be delivered the next day.
My reservation was for eight nights. One washcloth will not do the job. Missed one or two delivery attempts for another washcloth,(did not know about one and had to reschedule the second one). Went by the office to pick up wash cloths and was given a "kitchen packet." Was told there was a wash cloth in the packet. So I just used a hand towel.
I put up with all of this because money talks. The price could not be beat.
      Thanks.

      A Cheap Place to Sleep

Left on 08/23/2012 for a stay in August 2012

Given the price of this unit and its location on Waikiki, its not a bad deal. When we got to the room there were fresh linens, but that looked to be about the extent of the cleaning done prior to our arrival. The carpet is disgustingly filthy, to the point where you may not want to walk around barefoot, and there looks to be some black mold growing in the corner of the bedroom ceiling just over the bed. The pillows were quite flat, and there are only 2 provided.
If you just need a cheap place in Waikiki, this isn't too bad. If you want something nice though, go pay for an actual hotel room (then you'll also get clean towels and linens during your stay!)
As an additional plus, the owners of the unit have a parking spot in the building. You may or may not get lucky and get to park in the spot without paying the $20/night to the Aqua Palms.

You get what you pay for

Left on 04/23/2012 for a stay in April 2012

Very nice staff and very helpful. Room wasnt as nice as pictured online. I guess because it was really cheap, so you get what you pay for. Very nice location though. They said the hotel provided wifi so we were banking on it but we obly had internet the first day and it was really really slow then the rest of our stay (7 days) internet was non existent. We had to rely on our smart phones and we really needed internet that time.
