The Waikiki Banyan is very popular as a moderately priced family resort 1 block to Waikiki Beach, Kapiolani Park and Honolulu Zoo. Fantastic amenities with a huge swimming pool, 2 Jacuzzis, tennis courts, basketball courts, a playground for the little tykes, coin operated BBQs, a putting green for the golfers and even a fitness area for the athletic at heart. it was great. we all had a lovely time! it was unfortunate that we couldn't leave our bags at the hotel for checkout on the day of departure...otherwise we would have to cart our stuff to the location on ala wai etc and that seemed inconvenient so we had to have at least one person with our bags all day

The condo was great, comfortable and convenient to everything we want access to in Waikiki. Had a great time. Biggest problem with unit itself was the sliding glass door to the lanai. Must have muscles! Only downside was getting into the unit when we arrived. Could not get ahold of property management to get the access code to get into the condo until several hours after our arrival. Another backup system or arrangement needs to be developed. Luckily, we had rented a car so we had somewhere to keep our luggage while we waited to hear from property management. We would definitely stay at this unit again but with a different check-in process.

This was a great location for anyone to walk to Waikiki Beach, Diamondhead, great restaurants and the grocery store. It also came with a parking pass if you plan on taking a car out. The unit was clean and very nice. Great views!

This property unlike most was just like the photos. It had a great view of the ocean. The pool area was a little worn, but they were doing maintenance around it so next time it should be better.

This was our 3rd visit to suite 3802 at the Banyan. Clean, great location! Before we were even leaving we were planning our next trip there. Then, on the last day we were preparing to head to the beach. We had a knock at the door. Before we even got to the door, the door opened. When we looked, it was a strange man looking to come in. He told us he was told we had vacated the unit the night prior. Not identifying himself, we assumed it was another traveler. Before I could show him our papers to say we were staying until 6pm he took off. I phoned Hawaiian paradise retreats because I was a bit worried there was a mix-up or that some stranger had our code to the suite. When I talked to the lady in the office she wasn't exactly sure who it was at the moment and did not want to come out to reset the code (because she had to go all the way to the office and get the manual) to ease our minds. She said she'd check with house-keeping to see if it was someone from there. When she phoned back she did tell me that it was house-cleaning but didn't sound convinced herself. From that point, it made my family nervous as to who it was. Therefore, luckily, we had family in another condo and took all of our things to their place for the day to somewhat ease our mind so we could all go to the beach one last time together. Very inconvenient!! If the man was house-cleaning...great, but some form of identification would be necessary. The lady at the office asked me where I was from because in her opinion people who worry about strange people at your door are usually from New York or Chicago. When I told her we were from Alberta she was surprised. If Hawaiian paradise retreats would have just come and switched the code for us, it would have been a non-issue, but since it sounded like a big hassle to the lady on the phone I was extremely disappointed. We hope to return, but are hesitant.

We traveled as a family with my two teenager. It is hard to impress teenagers these days, but mine were impressed by the views. This was a great place to stay, nice and clean and a very short walk to the beach and all the attractions. The views were great. On one side was the ocean view and on the other side a city/mountain view. There was a nice flow of air through out the apartment by leaving the windows open. We didn't have to turn on the AC since there was enough air flow. The extras such as beach chairs and the boggy boards were nice for the kids to use. Although there was wi-fi in the apartment, we didn't use it. The kitchen was well equipped. We ate all our breakfasts at the apartment and cooked dinner a couple times. There is so much to see and do in Waikiki, so we were busy everyday. The management team of Hawaiian Paradise Retreat were very nice and courteous although I can't say the same about the people at the front desk of this tower. I had to use the laundry facility once and it was just fine. The bathroom needs some work though I hope they fix it.

Wonderful stay--i would have liked a short cut map to highway-maybe list out a few sights to see(hiking,beaches to see-etc)--tub was clogged-hand prints on sliding door to bedroom-needed garbage bags and other similar items--overall--i would stay again--

We had two rooms we booked through Hawaiian Paradise....Their team was very Professional, quick response upon our arrival and departure. Check in and out was one of the easiest I have ever done! Units were amazing, very clean and well equiped. Great location for all ages of kids. Our kids ages ranged from 8-21yrs old. They loved it! Great location and awesome views. We will be back again next year!

Great location & close to Waikiki beach. As an added plus this unit had wi-fi. A Parking pass was included which was great since we rented a car. This unit had a few extras which were useful such as beach chairs, beach mats, boogie boards & hats. The view was amazing! 38th floor end unit so we had a city view on one side & beach view on the other. Beautiful day & night.

The property was a nice location to stay in. The only disappoints came in reference to the condition of the bathroom which was in great need of updating. The toilet was not even placed in a straight position and the bathtub/shower area was in poor shape and needed to be greatly updated. As well the couch in the living room is in need of replacement. The condo also needed to be more well equipped especially the kitchen accessories. Overall the stay was enjoyable but we did have to go out and purchase numerous items that we required over our month long stay. We found this to be frustrating and inconvenient.

We would definitely recommend the Banyan 3802-our suite was very nice & the view was beautiful-we will definitely stay here again if we ever get the opportunity again. Our 19 year old daughter slept on the hide-a-bed & found it very comfortable. The coin operated BBQ's & laundry facilities were greatly appreciated-however the front staff would not provide coin to operate them, unless you were registered through the "Aston Banyan". Other than that small inconvenience, which had nothing to do with the room, we had a very enjoyable holiday in Hawaii (just remember to stalk up on your quarters!)

This was the second time in less than a year that I booked with Hawaiian Paradise Retreats at the Banyan. My experience was so great that I came back with 16 of my family members and rented three units! I love the agency, condo's and amenities, especially for families with children. Susan and the rest of the Paradise staff are easy to work with and try hard to accommodate your dates and needs for your Hawaiian vacation. Thank you so much....I'll be back!

This was the second year with this company and our fourth visit to the Banyan. The value and system was great. The property need a little self fix'in (broken coffee maker, no cheese grater, had to grease interior and slider door). We did those and left it better for the next person. Will book again next year!

We enjoyed this corner penthouse unit that allowed cross ventilation and did not require the use of the air conditioner. Management from beginning to end was very responsive to all our queries and accommodating! The tub could use replacing and drained a bit slowly, though it was functional. All else was perfect!

Awesome unit to rent on the quieter end of Waikiki. Beautifully furnished, well equipped, GREAT view, nice amenities, easy to get in and out of with parking privileges. Managers were very accomodating (couldn't figure out the door lock!). Overall, a great experience... would stay there again and again!

The unit we rented was on the top floor of tower 2 of the Waikiki Banyan. It had a great view of the ocean and beach from our front lanai and bedroom window. It also had a spectacular view of the city out of the side window of the bedroom. Having a full size kitchen made our stay very comfortable. It took no time at all to feel at home. The close location to the beach was perfect. It took less then a 3min walk to get to the beach. The management staff was wonderful to deal with. They were very helpful from the moment we landed to the minute we checked out. They even went above and beyond to help with our luggage storage after checkout time. A great MAHALO! to the management and staff of Hawaiian Paradise Retreats for the best vacation ever! Aloha.
