The Waikiki Banyan is a very popular, moderately priced family resort only 1 block to Waikiki Beach, Kapiolani Park and Honolulu Zoo. There are fantastic amenities at the Banyan: a huge swimming pool, 2 Jacuzzis, tennis courts, basketball courts, a playground, coin-operated BBQs, a putting green for the golfers and even a fitness area for the athletic. Very happy with my stay at the banyan. The only problem was the repairs that were taking place on the outside of the building which ment the lanais were closed off . I use the lanai as a breakfast room and enjoy sitting there in the evening . Location and accommodation was great . Will be back just to use the lanai. Thanks again . Mahalo.

I highly recommend staying here! I brought my 4 year old son for a week vacation and we both loved it here! He just loved the pool and playground on the 6th floor. It's 2 min walk to Waikiki beach, shops and restaurants. 5 min walk to the Honolulu zoo. The room was nicely decorated and kitchen has everything you need so going grocery shopping and cooking there saved me a lot of $$. Also as someone who travels to Oahu often I know that having free parking included with your room is almost unheard of! So having secure parking included with the room is AMAZING! I love, love, love this spot and I'm already planning when I'm going to come stay again! Thank you Hawaii Paradise Rentals and all of your awesome staff for everything!

Great Waikiki option with some very nice amenities

My partner and I stayed at the Banyan, #2806 for a week from Dec 28, 2012. After a slight hiccup with check-in- I'd been apprised about calling the agency's office on arrival at HNL but didn't until we got to the property itself- the experience was stress free. 2806 has lots of perks, and I know having seen other units in the Banyan that the owner of 2806 has done a MUCH better job outfitting their unit than do a lot of vacation rentals (including those managed by Aston itself). Pluses:
-A combo lock, not a key- AMAZING convenience I wish every hotel (heck, every door!) had. A total blessing.
-Free, fast Wi-Fi in the unit! Outstanding!
-COMFORTABLE furniture, not "Hawaii" wicker garbage you see too often all over the state. The couch is one I'd love in my home.
-A well-equipped kitchen.
-A comfortable King-sized bed- a great thing to find as we're two kings ourselves!
-FREE phone calls to HI, mainland and (great for us) home to Canada.
-EPIC water pressure in the shower!
A few things to possibly work on:
-It would be great to have a proper duvet instead of that horrible hotel-style acrylic bedspread that's impossible to remake unless you're a hotel maid, and it's uncomfortable.
-You have a nice Sony HDTV and nothing but the most basic cable programming. No HD, no Blue-Ray player, and the TV's not smart so no Netflix. You have a great unit that's wasted. I'd much rather have better TV options than the free phone which saw almost no usage.
-Shower gel with dispenser in the shower instead of those horrid little hotel soaps, please. Cost effective for you and much better for guests.
-PLEASE get a FAN for the bedroom so that doors can be shut for privacy. The AC unit is in the living room , and unless you're going to install another unit in the bedroom, a simple room fan would do wonders.
All in all the stay was fantastic and I'd stay here again- I do hope that you consider my suggestions.

We enjoyed our stay but a few things to consider.... the fan in the bathroom should be replaced. Very noisy but does not remove moisture. Mold is starting around tub. Carpets are very dirty in livingroom. Need new coffee mugs and cutlery is very poor quality. Need towels to take to the pool. Excellent location and bed and couch are very comfortable. Overall very pleasant place to stay.

OUR VACATION AT THE BANYON 2806, THEIR WAS A DREAM COME TRUE WE CAME FROM ANAHEIM CALIFORNIAA , WE STAYED THERE FOR 9 DAYS EVRYTHING WAS GREAT EXCEPT AIR CONDITIONING WAS NOT WORKING , OTHER THAN THAT EVRYTHING NICE AND CLEAN AD JUST 1 BLOCK AWAY FROM WAIKIKI BEACH WE WOULD DEFINETLY GO BACK VERY REASONABLE PRICES, MY 2 KIDS 17 & 7 JUST LOVED IT. THANK YOU FOR MAKING IT FEEL LIKE WE WERE AT HOME MY KIDS DIDINT WANT TO COME BACK TO CALIFORNIA PEOPLE VERY FRIENDLY

It wasn't right on the beach but you could see it. We enjoyed a short walk to the beach and lots of shopping and great food. We did have a car so we spent a lot of time exploring and touring. The facility was everything needed and we had no complaints.

We couldn't use the kitchen at all because We had a drain problem. When we called the property management office about it, they blamed us. I am still waiting for thier reply.
I hope they give me full amount of security deposit back. -

Yes, we had a great time there and the lady at the office was very helpful from registering to repair needed in the bathroom. Only thing we noticed was the keyless entry was not working right and could get in without entering pass code and felt unsafe. I didn't report it to the agent. Over all we had a great time and this was the second time staty at Banyan. Thank you!

Great vacation. Excellent location. Condo was adequately furnished, with a good mixture of kitchenware. Excellent pool and spa. Refrigerator did leak water on floor, and ran out of toilet tissue. Will definitely consider a return visit.

The Banyan 2806 could not have been any better! Clean, well appointed, and in a nice building. The location is perfect walking distance to the beach, dining, and entertainment. Also very close to Kapahulu making it an easy escape to get out Waikiki! Parking is very convenient as well!

We enjoyed having a kitchen- but there were no cutting boards or wine glasses. Everything else was well stocked- lots of towels, soap, sheets, beach stuff. Very quiet building. Pool area good for families but not if you want to read by the pool away from kids. Front desk staff were helpful. Only about 2 blocks from the beach and lots of places to eat!
