Wow - what a view. You'll love this Condo! Great location.

Left on 08/22/2012 for a stay in August 2012

This condo is a much better option than staying in an overpriced hotel in Waikiki. We booked this condo one day before we arrived in Oahu after two weeks on the Big Island (Kona, Ka'u & Hilo) and this was by far our favorite place with an awesome view. Did I was also the best deal. The view was so nice, we never closed the blinds in the living room and bedrooms just so that we could enjoy the view from the 42nd floor.

ALOHA... Our stay was MAIKAI (excellent). The location was GREAT. Close to restaurants, shopping and the beach/ocean. Parking was convenient, but you would not need a car at all. I will for sure use Hawaiian Paradise Retreats again....MAHALO

Although the property is a little old, it was very clean & comfortable. A little noisy with sirens but you are in the middle of town. That was my 2nd visit to the property in 3 weeks.

A little noisy with sirens during the night but apart from that. All was good. Including a spectacular view.

      Fantastic View

Left on 04/10/2012 for a stay in April 2012

The condo has a terrific view from the ocean to the hills. It's particularly spectacular at night. The location is excellent with lots of restaurants, shops, and points of interest within walking distance. Parking is easy, but incurs an additional daily charge that must be paid in cash.
Overall the unit was in good condition, with the exception that some of the vertical blinds didn't operate or were sticky. Although the unit is rated as sleeping 6, two would need sleep on a futon that could be tight for other than children. We had 5 in our party so it worked out ok. Also, there are only 4 dining chairs making meals for more than 4 inconvenient. The kitchen is well equipped, bathrooms were fully functional, and there is a washer and dryer in the unit.
Overall, this condo is a great value in a great location. I would definitely recommend it.

      What a view!

Left on 03/29/2012 for a stay in March 2012

The wonderful panoramic view is one of the first things you notice when you step into this penthouse and it is worth noticing, that's for sure. We got a wonderful treat of a fireworks show just by looking out the windows on the second night we were there courtesy of one of the beachfront hotels. Being on the 43rd floor has its advantages. The very secure suite (you need a key card just to get into the elevator) is located right off the main drag with restaurants dotted all over the place and it was an easy 5-6 block walk to the beaches. The unit itself was a touch in need of a spruce up and the carpets could have used a good cleaning but they provide a place to put your shoes when you take them off as you walk in the door (house rule). There were pleanty of towels once we found them and complimentary shampoo and conditioner. The master bedroom was big and the bathroom was really nice with its open shower. The second bedroom and bathroom weren't too bad either and there was a washer and dryer right off the second bathroom which we really liked. The kitchen had a sort of eclectic assortment of worn out pots and pans but there was a working coffee maker and that is always a plus. The stove top needed a special cleaner that was not provided so we could never get the black marks off no mater how hard we scrubbed. Neither the phone nor the internet connection were working when we arrived and though we never did get the wireless going we did manage to find a working hookup for the phone line. This was a nice place to stay and a very good location, especially if you like being in the "big city" as far as island life is concerned. Thank you for the opportunity to use your penthouse suite ... it was a great last minute choice and we were all glad we could stay there.

A great place to stay for the price/location!!

Left on 03/13/2012 for a stay in March 2012

This was a very nice place to stay. The view of downtown Honolulu, Waikiki and the ocean was awesome. If you stuck your head out of the window you could see Diamond Head. The room was nice, a little out dated but very sustainable. The building itself felt safe and was clean. I will definitely keep this place in mind on my next stay.

Our stay in room 401 was fantastic. We were first greeted by Ian, who was very friendly and welcoming. He took us to the condo which has a breathtaking view. The condo was very clean and furnished tastefully. The location is great, a ten minute walk to
the beach and the Ala Moana shopping mall. There is an ABC store across the steet where you can buy food and drinks. There are also many restaurants nearby if you want to eat out. The in-room washer/dryer came in really handy. Also, the condo is equipped with
everything you need for the beach, ie. towels, umbrella, boogie board, floaties, a cooler and plastic hampers. The only downside with my stay is that there is no lanai, and the pool was closed the entire time for renovation. Finally, the reason I gave the
property management a three star is because they did not get back to me promptly during reservation. Also, when I e-mailed any questions, no one would reply with an answer. I eventually had to phone to get my questions answered. In addition, when I first arrived
at the airport at 1:30 pm, I called the number given and got an answering machine. Someone should be manning the phone during the day.

      great view, location, clean

Left on 07/12/2011 for a stay in July 2011

This condo was immaculate, well within walking distance to Waikiki, and very affordale. the only problems we had were the following: with a party of 5, they should supply 5 pillows, asked for more than one key and never heard back, and the location was in a bit of a depressed area- just a block from what I would consider safe at night, and last thing, the pool area left much to be desired and we never used it. Good for budget consious family though.

My sister had her bath tub drain filled with hair, causing water to back up into the tub. I found a pair of ear plugs and a window blind rod under my bed, in the master bed room, does that mean that it hadn't been vacummed? I think so. I would liked to have had a more updated kitchen, and we were also not told that we needed to check in with security when
we first arrived, we only found this out when we had to go and talk to them
      the master bed room
