31281Perfect Spot for Us!
Left on 06/10/2012 for a stay in June 2012
We just returned home yesterday :( after spending 8 nights in this "Beachfront Paradise" with our grown children and 2 young grandchildren! The name does not disappoint in our books and we did not have the same experience as "hatmark" from Vienna, Virginia! There were 9 of us and we could easily have handled 3-4 more. The setup with a loft room, private baths in almost all bedrooms, a separate cottage and a room/bath over the garage, it provided plenty of privacy and a chance for peace and quiet for those who needed it.
The beach was just below the house and offered an amazing view and the constant sound of surf pounding the beach. Since it was summer, the waves were gentle enough for our 6-year old granddaughter to look for shells and beach glass without worry of her getting knocked over. Our sons found good snorkeling right out in front of the house but we took the little ones down to Shark's Cove for that experience. The grass yard and chaise lounges provided an area for just sitting when we didn't want to get sandy. We had hoped to see a giant sea turtle and had the pleasure of being visited by one who decided to sunbathe for awhile right in front of the house!!! That was surely a highlight! There are many other great beaches that we saw, but it was wonderful that we never needed to pack up and travel to them...all we had to do was walk down a few steps.
All of the beds were comfortable and everything was clean, although we could have used a few more towels. There is a washer & dryer that worked just fine for replenishing the supply though. The home is secure with locking gates and a security system so we felt very safe there as well.
The location is great for visiting the little surfer town of Hale'iwa or going the other direction to Turtle Bay, Shark's Cove and Waimea Valley Waterfall and Botanical Gardens, all of which were well worth our time. We also ventured further to visit Honolulu and take in a luau at Paradise Cove, which was the recommended best luau on the island. We definitely prefer the laid-back lifestyle on the North Shore.
We all loved this house, loved the North Shore and would love to come back one day. Since we also want to visit Kauai next, I'm not sure when that will be but if we have the whole family with us again, I would surely want to stay in this home again. -

Dallas, GeorgiaAbsolutely Wonderful Experience!
Left on 10/15/2010 for a stay in September 2010
This home is unbelievable. It is located right on the beach and has spectacular views. The entire house has top-notch furniture, bedding, appliances, fixtures, etc...
This home is big enough for 12-14 people to sleep in comfort and not even feel like you were crowding each other.
The North Shore is an amazing place to watch the surfers, sea turtles, and to get a real feeling of what Hawaii is about. Sitting out at the cabana in the early morning and watching the sunrise is something that you will never forget. It was absolutely amazing.
I would highly recommend this home for a large family. You will fall in love with it and plan your return trip before you leave.

Ashburn, VAAbsolutely the best!
Left on 09/10/2010 for a stay in August 2010
I've lived in Hawaii, and travel there at least 2 times per year. This is the best place Ive stayed. It is spacious and luxurious. The location is top notch. The beach is basically private, with surf walking distance away at chuns reef. Sharks cove is right down the street. I would highly recommend this property to anyone. There is no doubt in my mind that I will be renting this property again.

montanaEverything we wanted!
Left on 05/13/2010 for a stay in April 2010
This is a great home with lot's of privacy and one of the best stretch of beaches available. The North Shore is a pleasure with much to see and do, but the best of Hawaii this trip was our lodging.
Close to town, shopping, and many beach attractions, we found the location perfect for what we wanted...sun, surf, and sand. Our most memorable times revolved around family activity in or about the home. We look forward to our return.
